Bro- a lot of Chelsea fans I'm sure remember who Di Matteo is/was. And to think you speak for them or know them authoritatively like that is pure projection.

Here's a quest for you, Bro. Go to the Shed End and use their search function to look up Di Matteo.

Here's a spoiler for you - it doesn't end with a 5000 page thread. :D

Aston Villa have 20 more points and are 12 spots higher in the table than we were last year. They’ll qualify for CL with or without winning Europa.

It is not rocket science to understand why the feeling of supporters would be different between the two seasons. That uninspired Villa performance at home last weekend was our Premier League reality for basically the entire season under Ange in 24-25.

You mean the season BEFORE we lost four of our first choice Back 5 for three months?

Because before that we were doing just as well as - if not better - than Villa.

Derangers gonna Derange because lies and distortions is all they have. :ange-bored:

Imagine being a Deranger in May 2026.

Like... what the fuck are they even thinking? "Yeah this relegation battle was everything I said would happen when we sacked Postecoglou"...

And then our lord and saviour Roberto De Zerbi comes in and in his very first presser dumps the biggest pile of mud ever assembled in history on these poor deluded saps:

And then follows through on his promise and we start actually looking like a team that can football again.

It is beyond staggering how Derangers still keep coming here and expecting not to be humiliated. Just accept you were wrong. Acknowledge that your wishes and folly almost got us relegated. And beg forgiveness. It's really not that hard. You will feel better I promise. :ange-pray:

De Zerbi's on about Postecoglou's first season, he specifically said so, and most likely the first 3rd. We all want the team to be attacking and winning, so yes of course.

Of fucking course we want to play like under Ange again, how we played the first ten games. They were incredible.

But no matter what player was available we never ever played like that again under Ange. It did not matter who the opponent was, the football was tragically poor and struggled even against Tamworth.

I am sure RDZ is not looking for that kind of performance.

So we put most of the blame on our CB back ups? Like Danso who did nothing wrong? Lazy excuse/stat, as we were shit in every third on the pitch, no matter if CBs involved or not, you should have zsed your eyes, not stats.

? Huh, blame...what are you talking about? 😵‍💫

I've just shown you very basic data that says when our 2 starting CB's played under Ange we won more matches than we didn't, there is literally nothing else to it.

Take out whatever you want from it, i don't make the rules.

I still find it ridiculous that we lost 22 league games under him, we are nowhere near that, even as bad as this season has been.

Diabolical.
So do you blame Ange for that?

I think the blame should go on the upstairs ignoramuses.
No spending to have 2 or 3 competent, experienced players vying for every position.

We were going alright until we hit the injury crisis.
11+ first team players injured.
Playing a teenager out of postion as CB.
Playing a teenager as the main midfielder.
Playing a teenager on the wing.

Despite all that, Ange still MANAGED to win a Cup for the first time in very many years.

Obviously the board has made a lot of bad decisions.

but yes i do blame Ange for a lot of them defeats.

Allegedly he threw games....this is terrible management.

I have no doubt in my mind that we would have got to the Europa league final again this season and probably be favourites to win it, if we were in it, based on our performance in champions league.

Which is why you don't compare points tallies across different seasons, it's kinda meaningless
No but not getting 50 points in any season is diabolical.

So is losing 22 league games

So is not winning 15 league games.

Every season these are basic outliers that mean your scrapping at the bottom.

And is diabolical for Spurs to having any of these numbers no matter what season it is.

Any manager with any of these numbers at our club has done a terrible job.

I feel these are all arbitrary numbers based on your own narrative

He ended up getting sacked for it anyway, but looking at how this season has unfolded it’s clear the focus should’ve been on the club rather than just the manager and that’s become even more obvious now.

Its not a narrative its based on Premier league history.....just because I said it, it doesn't make it less relevant.

Regardless of the club he still underperformed
