Not a problem!
You mean when the club decides not to pursue him hours before he rules himself out
Listen, I'm not going to argue the SPL is a far far shot from the Premiership, but I'd be genuinely interested in Celtic v Spurs stats in Europe since 2000 for win/draw/lost, all competitions. I don't think Ange is ready for a job like Spurs (at present), but to disrespect Celtic as if Spurs are world beaters, having won ONE trophy since 2000, is a bit unfair and ridiculous.
I'm a Celtic fan and signed up thru genuine interest in Spurs fans opinions seeing as it's our manager and as I'm not a Spurs fan, I'll be respectful of your forum. I'm giving my genuine opinion on his readiness for a team like yours, of which I think he's knocked it off to be considered so early and unexpectedly given his experience and achievements (which btw, have been very good, even if you turn your nose up at our league or Japan).
My opinion is he's more suited to a mid table Premiership outfit. That way he could build a team into his attacking philosophy without the added pressure of trying to stay in the top six.
Now, as I'm not a Spurs fan, I've no idea what the majority fanbase mindset is on your current standing in the footballing world. In Scotland where like anywhere outside England, there's lots of interest in all EPL matches and not one single team, Spurs aren't considered on the level of Liverpool, Man C, Man U, Chelsea and Woolwich. I say that not as a dig. A lot of football fans up here think the "team Kane plays for and the team Bale played for", before thinking of "top six" when thinking of Spurs. You're seen as a good team who've punched above your weight and were unlucky that one time in the Champions League.
Should the fanbase think you're a top six club, challenging for the title... I think Ange is a project pick that could see you struggle to make that so. His philosophy took a bit of time for players to adapt to up here, but he was lucky we were already stronger than other teams and I'll say it, Rangers were a mess and only won the season before because of Neil Lennon dropping the ball and COVID keeping fans away from stadiums, which played into Rangers hands. Their fans are pretty toxic with criticism, so the players had that off their backs. It was no shock they regressed the very next season and after very poor transfer activity, lost to Ange... Who spent well and far greater.
If your fanbase thinks getting into the top six is a bonus and you're playing to be in the top ten, maybe Ange will work out. His football can be a joy to watch, but he is stubborn in the formation and match management, which cost us in Europe. Plus injuries to key players have left us playing really bland football. Tho playing up against a ten man defence, as was the case today in the final, it's hard to break the lines.
Anyway, if he goes, he'll get more money, probably a bigger transfer kitty and the attraction of a better league. Spurs can be a decent team, but tbf, it's the league that's the attraction. I think Rodgers would be more suited to you. More experience definitely in the EPL and had success with a team nobody expected to win the league. Also has experience at a bigger side in Liverpool.

It was more a take on the fact Rangers and Celtic fans think they should join the Premier LeagueListen, I'm not going to argue the SPL is a far far shot from the Premiership, but I'd be genuinely interested in Celtic v Spurs stats in Europe since 2000 for win/draw/lost, all competitions. Wanting him and him being someone who will unite the club, fans, team are two different things.I think you’ll find 80% wanted him soon as he became available. He would defo been most welcome appointment amongst majority of fans. Certainly more than Ange!
Conte didn't unite anything. He was with one foot out the door since day 1.Why does the club need a personality to unite the fanbase?
Thomas Frank doesn't have a big Charisma, De Zerbi is a jumped up little prick and Potter is a Geography teacher.
The club needs a structure and a plan that fans understand and can choose to get behind. That btw is what JN reportedly asked for.
Conte was all passion and charisma. It united fans for about 6 months, then the chaos kicked in as soon as a summer transfer window passed and Conte realized he wasn't getting what he wanted. Then January passed and he still didn't get it so he torched the whole building on the way out.
70 days to come up with a structure and a plan. Instead, all we have seen is just PR about big personality managers. (I like Ange btw, it's not about him).
When he first arrived he did mate,Conte didn't unite anything. He was with one foot out the door since day 1.
The cup he won today equals your trophy haul since the turn of the centuryHe won a scottish cup??? Now he is definitely the man we need him as soon as we move to scotland and compete in the scottish cups.

We should start lobbying Danny to swap places with Celtic, under ENIC we could guarantee we could come at least 2nd every season forever. Maybe even get a few cup runs goingHe won a scottish cup??? Shut up you clueless Pratt you have no idea what you're talking about, seriously you're such a clueless idiot it's almost laughable. like you think anything you have to say is seriously taken by anybody anywhere anytime in history.
People just think you're a complete clueless clown, that's because you really are a complete clueless clown.
You've never said anything that shows you have a clue about football and you're clearly an ill educated moron. In fact are you the antithesis of AI ie a real moron. Now the sun is going down so run off to bed to smack that poor excuse of clit between your legs.
You should be proud to add those to your 2008 FA Cup.
- Peace Cup (Korea) Winners: 2005
- Vodacom Challenge (South Africa) Winners: 2007
- Feyenoord Jubileum Tournament (Holland) Winners: 2008
- Barclays Asia Trophy (China) Winners: 2009
- International Champions Cup 2018
- Audi Cup 2019
These trophies are all more presitigious than the scottish league and cups.
