Yet no one wants Potter because his teams also don’t score goalsOne unlucky run with the Spanish national team doesn't make Enrique poor. They just didn't have a decent striker to put the ball away.

It's not but it's also hard to get those opportunities when you aren't European so I don't think you can really judge him for that.Do you think the standard of coaches in Japan or Australia is the same as in Europe? Do you really think standing out there as a good coach is the same as standing out here?
The list of coaches making that transition will be laughably short.
Back then the French league was a ‘Sunday league’ aswell, as you like to put it
Bit hypocritical mate
I for one welcome them!!!
Tie me kangaroo down sport tie me kangaroo...oh hang on a sec...
He wouldn’t be hired to do thatSo much a Sunday league that his Monaco got to a Euro cup final and semi final?
It was because of the largely untapped quality in the French league that he got so much success at Woolwich. I'm not sure Ange is going to be uncovering many Scottish or Aussie players that will transform our side.
Luis Enrique is a known quantity but far from mediocreI would rather take a gamble on an unknown than get a mediocre known quantity like rodgers or Enrique or maybe Potter, though Potter is still a bit unknown.
Celta was far from Mediocre. He changed that club in a big wayHe has mediocre spells at Roma and Celta.
His entire CV is Barca with prime Messi, Suarez, Neymar. It’s not nothing but not sure that would translate to here.
Also never said Enrique was poor. He’s just a known quantity and has limited upside.
Ange's Australia team went toe-to-toe with Chile, Netherlands and Spain at the World Cup in 2014. We didn't get a point but were highly competitive against teams rated far more highly.
A year later Ange won the Asian Cup against very strong South Korea and Japan sides, and then qualified for the 2018 World Cup after profoundly changing his system.
All this time he (and the team) evolved and improved but I guess World Cup qualification and continental trophies aren't high level football.
Ange excels in building team culture and spirit. His players will run through walls for him, and each other. Spurs could do with that sort of spirit I'd reckon. The only query is how Ange would deal with player primadonnas and their cuntish agents undermining his efforts, That's the gamble, because on every other criterion, Ange is an outstanding coach and manager.
He wouldn’t be hired to do that
I just don’t know why some are written off before even getting a chance, even though you literally have Celtic fans in here saying he’s the best manager they’ve ever had, and some get a free ride
Yes the Scottish league is a worse level but good football is good football wherever you are

I see your point but the Rodgers hatred is more to do with what a cunt he isThen let’s hire Rodger’s.
Back to back trebles, unbeaten and 106 points in Scottish football.
He is a gamble totally agree, but I don’t see many alternatives to a gamble at the momentI'm not writing him off at all - I'm saying he represents a big gamble.
If he gets it, I'll get behind him and hope he does well. I think I predicted Poch would burn out the squad by his 3rd season in charge and, well, that turned out to be bollocks (it was the middle of the 4th season).
“we want an attacking manager who plays good football on the front foot”
“No, not that one”.
He is the type of manager we can all get behind if we forget the “manages in Scotland” thing. I’d suggest the pressure of managing Celtic is as big, if not bigger than managing us. The expectations are to win every match. Every single fucking match.
He knows the Asian player market very well, so shirt sales and foreign fuckers taking my tickets boxes ticked.
For what it’s worth, just asked someone I know that is a big part of the Scottish cup final this weekend, unfortunately not on the Celtic side, so that narrows it down a touch and he tells me that Ange is expected to come here, pretty much early next week. However, he also told me Howe was going to Celtic and that fell through, so pinch of salt and all that.
Our squad is best suited to LE above all the candidates, except maybe NagelsmannYep but I don’t think he would fit. We would need to buy quite a lot of technical player in the same way we need to buy certain types of players for Conte that never arrived.
Aye, that translation of play from Scotland to the Prem is an issue. And to be honest it’s one I’ve doubts about when we say we want the Brighton / Brentford model. Fine to get a top half finish, but can it work at a higher level? Unsure.Things change obviously so Howe could have been 95% done.
In regard to Poste he clearly plays the right way (Pep style) it’s whether he can implement it with better players than Celtic have playing against much stronger opposition.
The style of play, the league situation. It’s very similar to the Vincent Kompany debate, you have successful Pepball in a weaker league, can they translate it in the prem playing against the real life Pep.
If he can then great. However I hope the club scout and buy for this style of football and actually stick with it even when Poste is gone.
Potter had the same issue at Brighton as Enrique had with Spain, creating a large amount of chances, with Neil Maupay as his striker.Yet no one wants Potter because his teams also don’t score goals

What slow possession play? Our squad is best suited to LE above all the candidates, except maybe Nagelsmann
