Surely its about momentum? We were inconsistant under Poch, had a terrible start to the season and a decent middle then it was win one draw one, lose one, levels of inconsistancy. But he'd weeded out the slackers, played a lot of youngsters and we looked fit and mostly organised. You could see things happening.

Ange had a great start and we've just got worse and worse. 36 pts from 24 games is the worst run we've had in the league since Poch got sacked. Its worse than AVB, Mourinho and Nuno. We look a disorganised rabble despite all the free weeks. If there were the odd sign, a great performance here and there, some clean sheets, some excitement then yes. But take out the 2nd half against Villa and look at our 2024 so far.
It’s even worse than that mate. It’s actually 34 points from 24 games. Not 36 from 24!

For sure.

5th place on paper sounds fine for where this squad is at. Objectively he's not done badly as a coach to be there.

But you want to be progressing forwards, not headed towards the end of the season with a depressed looking coach probably facing down four league losses in a row. The team seems to have given up at the moment so no surprise that the fans have as well.
The team has given up - it's up to Ange to sort out the players that can take us forward and weed out the players that are not up to the job.

There's far more players that need ousting than staying at the moment.

Oh my god

All hail the Australian messiah who’s just made us get bummed by the shittiest Chavs side in 20 years

No one could’ve done a better job

Can't disagree that the previous 3 performances have been poor, but where do you think this Spurs side (first season into a rebuild minus arguably the best no.9 in the world) should currently reasonably sit?

Where would a good manager like Sean Dyche have us, top of the league? Or merely above Manchester City?

And Poch has beaten them 5-2 on WHL whilst Postecoglou lost 1-4

Nice to be of help
5-3 actually 👍

We were looking great in the home leg until a red card, two terrible injuries to our then best in form players. Even the we held them at 1-1 till the 75 th minute and conceded 2 goals after 90 minutes.

You just said we got bummed at Stamford Bridge

It's not exactly unheard of for Spurs to get done over at Stamford Bridge

Pochettino in his early days with us and even Klopp in his early days with Liverpool, did not ask fans to have complete blind faith. There would be a performance once every few weeks to show the fans "This is what the team will look like every week when I've had more time".

It's no exaggeration to say that we have seen next to zero 90 minute performances of quality since October/November.

He may be the right man for the job, but it's completely baseless to think so at the minute. There isn't even a body of work from the past to back it up.

It’s not about the place in the table (however if you ask me, given the season circumstances, a 4th place could’ve been realistic, given that Villa aren’t exactly better than us, at least on paper). It’s the way we play which is fucking shit.

Postecoglou himself said he’s looking for progress in the way we play, so…

Jesus stop saying this

This proves nothing.

You could excuse ANY performance with this logic. It just doesn't hold water.
Points on the board at the end of the season is what proves things.

Ange is in a very bad patch and needs to find a way out if it.

But sacking him and bringing in another 'marquee manager's is not the answer right now.

It's just shiny thing syndrome, because if it worked then the odds are that it would have worked by now after sacking Nuno, Mourhino, Conte.

This side that was comfortably embedded in the top 4 at Christmas should have been able to hold on and reach the CL.

Ange doesn't have any excuses, aside from Richi we haven't had any important injuries for months and there have hardly been any games. He has had so much time to train the players and they have got worse and worse as the season's gone on.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect us to beat teams like Wolves, West Ham and Fulham. That's all we needed to do to reach the CL. That he can't consistently beat medium-level teams is a big concern.

So you’re gonna miss the bit out where Chelsea won the title that season. We’ve just lost to a Chelsea team in a supposed crisis with 14 injured players.

And we reached the final of the League Cup in Poch’s 1st season
So go have a cry and feel better tomorrow.

Sacking Ange will not make any of this better - he needs to prove he can build something and that takes more than 34 games in charge.
