It seems other managers have figured out Ange-ball.
Clog the middle against us when we have the ball then after we lose possession, a long ball over the top to the wing where we have no defenders - plus a set piece goal or two - and unless we’re playing relegation fodder, it’s another loss for Spurs and Ange-ball.
7 points from our last 21 with minus 7 goal difference. That’s relegation form. I fear it’s only gonna get worse against the Scouse unless Ange can make some effective tactical changes.

said before we got Ange we need a manager who will change formation and tattics depending on who we play, so sometimes 3 at the back sometimes 4, midfield sometimes 2, 3 or 4, etc
if Ange doesn't want to work on set pieces then cut out the fouls, but he can't do that as thats the fouls are because we play a high line

He's not really had major injuries for months. We had practically our best 11 available for many games and we've lost loads.
I understand the point you're making and the form isn't good, but in all likelihood we win 2 out of the next 4 games and finish 5th over the course of a season.
More wins and probably more goals without Harry Kane.
In terms of sustainability going into next season, a lot of that will ride on the profile of player we bring in over the Summer.
Squad turnover is a must. We lack the variety of player in multiple positions to change a game.
Especially went we aren't specifically preparing for the opponent.
4 goals and 7 assists in 24 games from a "Statement Signing" ain't much of an upgrade when he comes off the sick bed.

Arteta had far worse runs and looked like an absolute donkey at times. Woolwich clearly knew he was at least half decent and massively backed him over a period of years.
For all we know Ange could be outstanding in training but the squad simply nowhere near good enough. What then do we sack the manager and hope for another 6 month manager bounce before it all turns to shit again.
This club has deep underlying issues it needs to break. Ange might be brilliant, he might be shit, we won’t know for sure without time, good scouting and squad building.

and that to me is the probelm with many managers they are wed to 0ne style of play, and unless you are Pep who has unlimited funds to bring in top players so changing many of his first 11 players makes little drop off in play

The players don’t play with courage anymore, they’ve said that themselves and Ange has said that they don’t seem to believe in the football anymore. That’s clear when you watch the games. In the space of a few months we’ve reached the same low point as during the end of the Poch/Mou/Nuno/Conte eras. A totally lifeless team.
The manager has to get them believing again and get the feeling brave enough to play his football. If he can’t do that then he will have to go. There’s no point having a manager who can’t translate his ideas to the pitch. He did it for the first 10 games but that was the easy part, everyone was just glad to have a new manager and opponents didn’t know how to deal with us. That’s all worn off now and there is no novelty factor anymore, opponents know what we want to do. Either we play better or we play differently. If Ange can’t get them doing either of those things then we aren’t going to win another game.

So a fair amount of them don't have faith. There are two players who seem to and that's Romero, the World Cup winner, and his compadre, VDV. They're playing the aggressive game. We need to recruit others like them if this is going to work. The ones who aren't buying in (including the coaching staff) need to go.
Or we sack Ange and hope yet another manager can come in and save us before they're sacked. Rinse repeat. The powers that be need to think hard on this one and resist being swayed by the current mood.

The blades practically have rolled over for everyone this year except us. Their last home game of the season.
Neither game will be easy wins and we clearly have very little fight.
That basically dooms us to permanent 6-18 months manager cycles. We will never build anything.
Probably only one period I can remember during Poch when our team had good mentality, at a pinch a short period under Conte.
