I'm genuinely curious to know who you DO want at the helm... Nagelsman... Slot... Klopp... Pep... Mason?

Who would be your DREAM Spurs manager??
It's a totally valid question.
I certainly would have liked Nagelsman. I thought what he did with RBL was very impressive and he was harshly moved on by Bayern because they wanted Tuchel all along. Slightly mad when you think about it.
That ship hasn't sailed away yet, but it's definitely on a long cruise and we'll have to wait.

I'm certainly not one of those undying Poch fans, he needed to go when he did. I wasn't crying out for him to come back last summer either. However, I couldn't help but notice that his Chelsea steadily improved all season, which is what I want to see from any coach we have. Maybe he does have his mojo back but needs the right club.
He's free at the moment, and if I'm Levy, I'm having a word in his ear to say "don't rush into a job yet"

In your list of absolutely unrealistic coaches, you forgot Alonso btw. Fcuking incredible what he did.

A negative - I once won free drinks all night after winning a limbo contest in the youth hostel bar there in the late 90s. Woke up in a right state. That’s all I remember of the place!

A positive - The scenery there in the middle of the country is outstanding though.
This does not have the makings of a negative story!!

Free drinks all night and being the limbo king!!

The next stage would be to wake up next to one or two random naked girls with absolutely no idea what their names were or what happened the night before!

I feel you wasted a huge opportunity here!

Bit of a dumb question that, brother.

My lifelong love for Spurs is unbreakable and generational. Something no owners or charlatans can break.
And the owners won't be here forever, will they. So there is always hope.

Any genuine supporter who knows the passion of the English Game will understand this.

Out of interest though.....who's your dream manager then? Who's the man that would finally unlock the code to success working for Daniel Levy?

Personally, I don't think there is one under the current ownership model. We've been through every type and variety available and they all end up failing to win and getting the sack. From serial winners like Conte and Jose to progressive young coaches like AVB and Pochettino to tried and tested English men like Redknapp and former players like Hoddle......
I think Pep would fail, Klopp would fail just as Ange will fail.
They all seem doomed to suffocate in the ENIC headlock.
The issue has always been the same. Just as these coaches start to get somewhere with the team, Levy pulls up the reigns.

Jol - underlined with public meetings with his replacement
Redknapp - get's top 4 then in his last season is given these - Friedel (free) Ceballos (free) Coulibaly (who?) Parker (£5m) Falque (nobody) Saha (free) Nelson (free)
Just let that sink in for a minute. The first coach to get us into the Champions league. Even the season before was a +£1m spend to go into the CL for the first time.
Poch - finishes 2nd. All season unbeaten at home. B2B top 4 finishes. 2 windows with nobody at all.
Mourinho - journeyman transfer window but gets a cup final and gets sacked a week before.
Conte - brought in to get top 4, get's top 4, get's Djed fucking Spence. Gets sacked when we're IN the top 4 still.

It's like Levy doesn't want us doing too well. Wouldn't want fans to demand too much now, would we.

What he actually means is if you think there's currently no hope under this regime then why are you infesting the forum with your trolling and toxicity?

I find it a bit weird that you think every manager has failed and will fail at this club yet you've seemingly turned on this manager already, surely in your position your angst should be with the owners in that case and not the manager who is working under said leadership?

Surely sacking Ange will just be a repeated problem with this leadership in not giving a manager time or not actually backing him, by wanting him sacked after not even a year you are hoping for the exact same scenario you continually condemn the ownership which makes you (in your eyes) as bad as them and makes you a bit of a hypocrite.

Despite your professed love for Spurs it very much sounds like you've fallen out of love with the club because of the regime then one wonders why you're hanging around like a fart, unless you live for the day to day disappointment, maybe you are the living embodiment of misery loves company, who knows?

It's all a bit weird tbh.

Very true!

There was a negative attached to it all though, but I don’t wish to share it! 😂😂😂😂

But that's the point... All the "World class Best ones" are totally unrealistic...

So we're left with the Realistic ones, of which Ange is a prime example... (Unless you think Martinez, De Zerbi or Franck are more what we need?)

We can't complain with the level or standard of manager we CAN get, when the level of manager people WANT are out of reach, surely?

I'm accepting the hand that has been dealt. Postecoglu is what we have right now, I hope he will succeed this second season. I have a suspicion that he's a bit too naive.

I'm also not happy with the way Enic have been working. But the last 2-3 years they have really backed Mourinho and Conte. I hope the new sports organisation, under Munn, will find gems like Van de Ven this summer. And give us some hope for the coming season. When is Paraticis suspension over?

In the hope of titles, i don't have any. We can with a bit of luck win a cup or Europa league. But I think it will be tough to win the league. Woolwich looks good, City almost unbeatable over a season , and I guess in a few years, that Newcastle will be up there, maybe United if they get som order to that chaos. I hope Chelseas massive FFP cheating investment won't pay off.

I honestly don't think we can compete over one whole season the coming years. My hope is that Pep will leave and city get a bad year, soon. That will be our shot at the title. Hopefully Arne Slot doesn't succeed with Liverpool.

Id honestly be happy with 4th the coming season, in combination with attractive football. And I really hope Ange can turn the bad form, from the last games of last season, around.

No toxicity from me old boy. Just reality and a desire to see Spurs succeed. If people don't like it, they don't have to read it. And I think there's a sizeable proportion of this community who appreciate my and others forthright views and input  .
It kind of balances things out and prevents this place from becoming a ENIC appreciation society

But talking of trolling

See. This is where we differ

I love Spurs

You didn't address the Ange question but it's fine I know you won't answer it because that would mean you'd have to pick a side which renders your trolling and therefore your entire existence on this forum a bit pointless because you'd have to stick to a position and actually have the courage of your convictions for once to actually back your own word but it's cool I take it you're just gonna ignore it because you're trying to pull out your usual deflection tactic to try and divert the attention away from yourself it seems ;)

Last summer we could have done better than Ange. Poch and Nagelsmann were both available.
I'm quite interested to see what Iraola does in his 2nd season too. Bit of a new name on the scene but held his own very well IMO.

And the whole point of the new Stadium / Multiplex arena with the highest ticket prices in world football was what again, exactly?
