Probably as here, a very loud minority?

Doesn't reflect the general impression I get from the climate outside net forums. Most people happy with Ange, and the direction we are going with bying young talent.

Yeah in person I don't really know a single Spurs fan but the things said on line do bleed into the stadium. When people have been bombarded by a repetitive narrative on loop, it can make them start looking for it during live games in person. Same way Gary Neville creating narratives about players like Romero or other commentators accusing Dele of having a nasty edge can influence officials. Nobody is immune to the things they read.

Ange just doesn't like letting the press dictate the narrative. It's pretty consistent:
"What are you going to do about your set piece problem?": "Not interested mate"
"What are your chances of making top 4?": "Not interested mate"

It's very similar to his reaction when his players [I'm looking at you James] get goaded into reacting to the shithousery of the opponents: he wants them to ignore that / rise above it.

And his commentary about Spence's redemption arc was kind of similar too - he was keen to point out that Djed hadn't allowed the attitude issues to be part of the conversation.

It's all about building the right mentality. You don't let yourself get sidetracked by issues that are not part of the big picture.
Postecoglou plays along with the press when it serves him, and becomes condescending when it doesn't. There will come a time, as it does with almost every coach eventually, where things won't be going well and he will have used up his good will with the media. Then the temper will come out, as it did at the end of the season.

They already did the build him up and knock him down thing last season. But he has so much good will from ex players and coaches in the media who respect the no nonsense approach. In terms of enemies in the media he had that prick Jonathan Liew for a while now. The Guardian have been holding knives to his back from day 1, mainly because it's a gooner shitrag.

Under big pressure for me tbh

Genuinely now, how many games this season are we going to dominate possession, 'dominate' the team with hardly ever any big chances then get done on the break

Will he be able to beat Ass atall during his reign here?
