That thread is uber quiet now - just goes to show who/what the real problem is (not Daniel)

He’s released the purse strings. Got in a manager who wants to play on the front foot. Got in executives to run the football side.

Let’s be honest Daniel is golden. All the things the haters held against him he has changed.

Even got some decent money for Kane.

I get managers have their favourites to an extent but Ange shows it to an absolute ridiculous level.

Last season Maddison absolutely stank up the place for months and Ange refused to drop him, refused to try him in a different role (well except against City where Ange was absolutely dying to win that game) and just hoped he would eventually come good. Same with Romero this season where he's allowed to continuously stink the place up with shower of shit performances with no consequences to these performance.

Players like Sarr and Bissouma on tbe other hand get dropped with immediate effect. Bissouma was actually one of our best players when he's played but Ange suddenly decides he prefers Bentancur.
to be honest i think manager favouritism has been a problem at this club for a long time.

Well, we're actually better.

In fact, we're better in almost every conceivable way across most metrics to last season and have nearly rectified every negative thing most had on Ange and his system last season.

High line causing us to concede on the counter? Improved on it.

Set pieces? Improved on it.

After Brighton, quite obviously need to improve on the mentality after leading in games and most definitely need players to cut out their stupid mistakes.

Results aside, this isn't a bad start 14 months into a huge rebuild though regardless of whether or not we had a poor 45 against Brighton. Though I also am aware it's fun to be a little reactionary after any loss and points on the board are what ultimately matter.

As most statisticians will tell you though, these things sort themselves out over the course of a season (Chelsea proved that last year) - 100% record in the cups whilst using the squad and blooding through youngsters, 3rd best xGA in the league, second best xG, 3rd in the league for xPTS.

Unless our performances SERIOUSLY dip, we are more likely to go on another run of 5 wins on the bounce and shoot straight up the league. And hell, If they improve? Then we're in for something pretty damn good.

But I'm also aware a select few on here absolutely refuse to back the manager so I really can't be arsed to argue the stats anymore and will instead just let it play out and see where we are come the end of the season. It's tiring and quite frankly exhausting listening to bullshit narratives and lazy discussion constantly by the same folk
...checks to see who's laughed at this post...

No come on…. No was talking about winning the league or anything. Supporters enjoy a win there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s a bit unfair to say ‘everyone was going over the top’ etc
People were saying how Ange had turned it around and was proving everyone wrong.
He has proven nothing more than we are above bottom half/lower league quality teams.

Nice to see everyone has congregated to this thread and leaving the Levy/Enic thread alone, makes my job a lot easier. 😎

Now THIS is exactly the kind of stuff you'd expect a Woolwich fan to troll us with 🙄

We thinking he's a racist too? That's pretty damning stuff right there.

Part of his job (for which he is very well paid) is to answer those shit questions. Easy to turn on the campfire chat vibes when you've got a captive audience but he doesn't seem to do very well when people start to answer tough (or plain stupid) questions, he almost seems to be affronted that people might have a different take on situations.

Many of the ones I have seen are plain stupid. It's not easy to keep your cool when faced with such stupid shit particularly after a loss when he is already seething. Of course it's different than the desk ones but that's the point. When he isn't faced with the idiots in his face, he is nice to listen to and makes a lot of sense.
Would you be perfectly calm at all times? Easy to judge but none of us are in the hotseat.

At the end of the day are we really clobbering him here for some words he gives in the heat of the moment that probably don't reflect his true thoughts?

It just seems hellishly petty to me. Easy target though if that's people's thing 🤷‍♂️

As others have mentioned, it's a part of his very well paid job. But even putting that aside, there's been plenty of manager meltdowns over the years but I've yet to hear of a manager saying subs don't matter and that he wouldn't want to be falsely rewarded for winning a game the team didn't deserve to win, idiotic stuff from a guy so far out of his depth he's trying to make up for it by sounding edgy and he has mugs on here deciphering it for him as if it's a commandment from on high.

"You mere mortal can't take our deity Ange literally, there's layers upon layers of profound meaning in each statement if you only you could see" or some bollocks.
