I been frustrated with Postecoglou at times this season mainly due to our away form but he's got it right with our home form and back to back wins against good opposition. Deserves credit and hopefully we can push on from it.

He's done nothing wrong subbing Son.

I personally just don't really see wingers as captains they are nearly always subbed, can be streaky, rely on output for confidence but Sonny has personality and he will get on with it.

Nice to hear his name being sung in the stadium yesterday.

Also nice to see that despite us being ‘not interested in defending’, ‘amateur tactics’ etc etc we have conceded the same number of goals as ‘best defence in the league’ Woolwich.

We are also the top scorers in the league.

Big difference is they have been away to Us, Villa, city and Newcastle. Conceded 3 in 4 games.
While we conceded 3 to Brighton in 45 minutes.

Sure people will say they have had an easier first 10 games than us though. Standard behaviour on here.

All about context.

It takes at least 19 games for a league table to mean anything. Even then it isn't really fair based on home or away games.

I think we'll be up and down all season. Postecoglou's approach boxes Spurs in. If it is working, great, we keep on what we're doing. If it doesn't, then we keep on doing what we're doing. The main way he adjusts during the game is by which substitutes he puts on. The whole "No Plan B" approach doesn't leave a way to make the sort of adjustments the top teams use to manage games. We're about halfway in now. This season looks much better than last, so we're probably seeing things at their peak. Sometime next season fans will want to see the next step forward and we'll move on. All coaches are interim appointments.

When we win everybody is shit and when we lose we are shit? Maybe just maybe these teams are shit when they play us is because we make them shit.

You are exactly what’s wrong with our support. Enjoy the win for fuck sake. Imagine not being happy beating the best club team in the world and the team that’s top of the champions league! Strange way to support a football club!

LOL exactly.

Its just copium for folks who aren't inclined to look on the more positive side of things or who have already made up their minds about Ange.

They will literally find any excuse for every single team we play as to why our win doesnt count, yet will not even try to look for nuance as to why we might not win a game or play well.

It is honestly fucking weird.

Some folk are adamant to see this project fail their putting their own ego's in front of their own enjoyment. Above anything else we're all Spurs fans right and we all want the team to be successful don't we so why would you need to cower from the site or make up a boat load of pathetic excuses just to tell themselves they're right even if the evidence doesn't support it.

Like that's really fucking sad, what a way to live your life as a football fan.

Man United have lost 4 out of 10 and only managed 9 goals. If a team generally plays well until they lose to us, you'd have a very valid point. But they really have been shit all season. We put 4 past West Ham who lost 3-0 to Forest this weekend, and even they beat United.
There had never been a better time to play United than this season so far. They were on their knees whilst ETH was still in charge.
What about Villa and City?

Considering some poor results vs Brighton and Palace, only 2 points off 4th. However, had we went with a more pragmatic style vs brighton and palace, wed probably be only 3 off the top. Jedinak and Montgomery are poor quality coaches. Conceding far too much from set pieces. Interesting few weeks ahead and where we are at going into the new year. Its so tight. Next March and business end are going to see a serious amount of injuries with the amount of games. We need 4 quality players in the jan transfer window, 2 defenders on the left side, a no 6 and an inverted right winger. Thats how we ensure a top 4 finish and a trophy.

3rd best defence in the league. Shown an actual improvement at defending corners since last season.
We will never sign 4 first team players in January. Not unless we're in the bottom 3 and have a different coach to the start of the season.
We won't win a cup.
I mean, we might win a cup. But usually, we don't.

So beat Ipswich and we’ll definitely be above either ‘title challenging’ goons or ‘top 4 race leaders’ Chelsea
Could even be above both if they draw?

Would like to see how the Ange out brigade spin that

4 squad players that can compete. I agree, dont see that happening but thats where we need to be at. Chelsea will sign if they need to. They are the team to watch IMO.

City was a cup game in which Pep made it abundantly clear he wanted out of.
I can't take that as a fair way to judge us.
Lets see in a few weeks when we play them in a league game.

Villa was, as i said, probably the first good win we've had in a while.
Everyone of those city players tried to win that game as much as any other. A team full of top international players but because you think Pep didn’t want to win it (which is bollocks)the win doesn’t mean as much.

Said it 100 times. Some care more about being right than anything.

No we arent keeping pace because you know Arteta has injuries and Emery doesn't have as good players, and Howe has shit defenders and Chelsea just haven't got going and everyone elses form isn't real but ours is because 6 months ago we lost 4 games in a row.
