I hate to be as harsh as you, but really, you said it: just play deep and compact, and counter and you can beat Spurs every other game.
Sad. Not acceptable long-term.
What manager is going to get anything out of this squad? There’s not a single stand out player compared to prime kane/son.
The group of wingers is really bad. Unsalvageable bad. BJ scores goals but is the worst all around player I’ve seen in a long time. Son is the best of the bunch but past it. Odobert is still unknown but of course turns to glass when we sign him. Werner / richy lol.
We have a lot of decent players. But no one that can lift the level of the team.
A majority of the defense can pass but can’t defend crosses at all.
There’s very little depth. We only have 3 CBs and the 3rd one drops the level of play significantly. 1 CF with no backup. No real backup goalkeeper.
Can’t see another manager succeeding with this squad without a major overhaul and that takes us about 4 transfer windows.

5-1-5 in the league, 3 of those teams were Leicester, Ipswich and Crystal Palace. Still got City, Chelski and Liverpool to play before Christmas. No chance he survives.
