I only care what Romero does for Spurs and he has never looked world class throughout his time with Spurs, in my opinion.

He has looked unprofessional at times and still lacks the ability to communicate with, inspire or lead the team. Romero is a very poor choice as captain or for leadership of any capacity in my opinion.

Kicking people when you are pissed off and sulking are not the actions of a world class footballer.

Fuck Romero if he doesn't want to play for Spurs.

That should be the message loud and clear.

I've never been a Romero fanboi. But I do think there's a better player there, for us, if he was coached properly.

Dragusin, Serie A defender of the year, wanted by Bayern Munich, looked great at the Euros, now looks like the bastard offspring of Ramon Vega and Stuart Nethercott.

No one and I mean NO ONE disses Stuart Nethercott on MY watch

He's not great defensively in the air and not being able to communicate with all his team mates has to be an issue. I think he wants to leave and Spain will probably suit him and his family.

When he played with Dragusin against Ipswich I noticed he kept passing the ball to Dragusin's left foot when it was easier to pass it to his right foot.

I think this was a deliberate act to expose Dragusin's weakness. He kept doing it. It was weird tbh.

I am also fed up with Romero's 'mistakes'. The cross field ball to VDV @ Palace, with the sun in his eyes, was the final straw for me. I have no great memories of Romero @ Spurs. I remember the red cards, the petulance, the errors and the sulking.

If he wants to go Spurs should sell him.

As has been mentioned, Angeball works all very well in Japan and Scotland but the PL is different gravy, mate. Teams are much more equipped to handle and counter it and this is what we are seeing.
At Brighton, we were 2.0 up so should have shut up shop and killed the game.
Palace was a disgrace and Ipswich so predictable.
We need a plan B, attack. attack, attack will not work in this league. And because we don't/can't defend, we will get picked off.
I really hoped Ange would succeed and, maybe, just maybe he will but I'm not so sure.

Those three results alone, especially coming so close together, would have been enough to see off the manager of any serious club of our size.
The more I think about it, the more obvious it becomes that this international break was the perfect opportunity to pull the plug while we've still got the opportunity to salvage the season.

Who do you think we should bring in?

Shouldn't we wait until he gets a couple of hidings?

That hasn't happened yet.

The games we have won we have mostly battered the opposition.

The games we lose we lose by the odd goal most of the time and remain in the game until the end.

I'm with you regarding ENIC & Levy but the transition since Conte went has been huge. We've lost Kane and loads of deadwood. It's not been terrible and the football is decent.

I was livid on Sunday but after every one of these weird defeats I wake up the next day wandering if we should let it run it's natural course.

I think most people have accepted the poor away form as long as we win at home and win well most of the time.

If Ange really isn't up to it I think it will eventually become obvious.

I'm not sure Ange is that terrible. Not yet.

The Fulham game is the one I want to see.

Has Ange beaten a Marco Silva team yet?

Yeh, we won 2-0 at home home last season. Calvin Bassey was our MOTM.

But I agree with all your points. I've seen enough to believe Ange can be a success, but patience is needed. Something we've lacked for a long time.

Fuck knows. Everyone ultimately fails working for Levy. Even serial winners.
But as I said yesterday, shite owners and a good manager is preferable to shite owners and a shite manager.

Who would you bring in? You're surely not suggesting we should stick with this dour, uninspiring journeyman are you?
No, I want Ange to stay, genuinely. I don't think this season performance wise has been awful, apart from Palace and Sunday (45 mins vs Brighton as well).

I've had enough of shipping managers in and out, and hoping the next one is the one that'll work. As soon as a few defeats happen we end up back in this situation, slagging off the manager for the same reasons we did the last one. It's tiring and boring.

Losing by the odd goal to Ipswich, Palace and Brighton after being 2-0 up is hardly a badge of honour.

As for the home form we've lost 2 from 6 this season in the league and 4 of the last 9.

losing to liverpool at anfield 5-0 is worse than losing to ipswich at home?

palace and ipswich have played 22 games between them and won 2. both against spurs. i think thats a pretty damning stat myself.
Yeah.

I think it is.

A hiding tells you the majority of players have given up.

When the majority of players want a manager out they usually throw him under the bus collectively.

I think Ange's Spurs have 3-4 pissed off senior players.

Son, Romero, Maddison and Richarlison.

If these 4 were consistently available and playing at 8 / 10 then Spurs don't lose to Palace away or Ipswich at home.

I admire you're optimism mate.

But. Throwing a 2 goal lead to lose at Brighton and handing Crystal Palace and Ipswich their first and only wins of the season all within a matter of weeks......
On the back of a 12 month period where we've lost as many as we've won.

I think we're just delaying the inevitable mate.

I'm not naturally optimistic. Especially regarding Spurs.

I just see something different happening at the club.

Some bookies had Ipswich at 10-1 for the win.

I don't think any Spurs supporter really expected us to lose that game.

We may have feared it could happen but the expectation in general was a comfortable win.

Every time Ange has had a terrible result or performance the team seem to find a way through and go on a run.

Who are we going to get if Ange is sacked?

The likes of Marco Silva or Eddie Howe will still be available at the end of the season mate.

I think the good hiding test is the one we should trust.

the worst thing of all is that we are ultimately stuck with a group of below par players for the next few years

We know how this club operates , Brennan Johnson will still be here in 3 years time. You could put your life savings on it. Probably the same for Richarlison , Dragusin , Kulusevski etc

A serious club would drop kick them out the door as soon as it's obvious they aren't at the required level, We on the other hand will probably give them all new deals and wait 5 years for them to actually "come good"

i dont think it matters if theyve given up or not if they are losing to ipswich and palace in the space of a couple weeks. thats a serious problem. if they havent given up and thats the shit we are getting served up then god help us when they do throw the towel in. i think a few have already too, obviously solanke hasnt as hes new. but i think theres an intensity drop off from a few and why wouldnt there be? they play for an idiot who will hang them out to dry rather than help them.

You have to be balanced if you want to be fair.

Both Palace and Ipswich do not have European games on a Thursday evening. Neither did Spurs last season during the unbeaten run at the start.

I accept that it still isn't good enough but I have noted that Spurs have scored and conceded virtually the same amount of goals in league games this season as they did at the same stage last season.

Sacking Ange because we are pissed off is not a good enough reason. Not yet anyway.

If the good hidings come along I will probably be in complete agreement with those who want him gone now.

I just want what is best for Spurs and I honestly think that Ange deserves the rest of the season, or until we can't win anything, before a decision is made on whether to retain him.

I think Spurs still have issues with senior players and that is our biggest problem.

Who are the serious clubs in your opinion? Likely I could show you that every single one has examples of players below the required level that doesn't get drop-kicked out the door immediately
