We had both our first Choice centre backs out against Haaland the freak!
City unbeaten at home in 51 games
theyve also lost their last 5 and are in a crisis! have some context ffs. we lost last time out to ipswich and not long before that crystal palace!

they started yesterday with gundogan, lewis and silva in midfield loool. winks and skipp would have held up against that.

yea great result yesterday and good performance, mainly thanks to individuals that stepped up, not because of 'angeball'. every game is big now because we are behind in the league thanks to dropping points to shithouses that couldn't buy a win previously!

The reason I am still largely Ange in is because I am impressed by the way the team is still always bonded and behind the manager despite some really bad performances and crowd reactions. We have all seen how toxic it has been in the past when the team loses belief. This is something truly new in my time as a supporter (maybe with the exception of Poch).

Geez we get it.

Every win is because the opposition are poor.

Every loss is because we are shit.

:ange-confused:

All week you were saying we'd get hammered by City and you were nearly looking forward to it so you could come on here and give it the big un.

We just had one of our best ever wins and you couldn't enjoy it. Call that shrink mate. I tried to warn you last week

He knows I record Antiques Roadshow on advice from The Dealer anyway!!

No doubt Ipswich was diabolical and very frustrating. I think there’s something missing from the discourse recently.

There are five points between Liverpool in 1st place and Man City in 2nd. There are also five points between Man City in 2nd and Fulham in 10th.

Every team from 2nd to 10th has mixed results this season because it is extremely competitive. If we had beaten Ipswich and Palace then we’d be 2nd, just 3 points behind Liverpool. But every team in the top half of the table is one or two wins from glory and one or two wins from mid table.

Wherever we finish this season , it’s likely we’ll have been one or two wins from something great or something bad. So the challenge this year is to get as much consistency as possible in a highly erratic and challenging league where any team can beat you or lose to you home or away.

There is NO doubt though that we are looking much better than last year and constant progress is all you can ask for. Most goals scored in the league by a mile, 2nd best goal difference behind Liverpool (big gap to third), improved performances against the big teams…

Because Pep lost 5 in a row, but he has won 4 consecutive league titles, Champions League and more. I’d say he has a lot of credit in the bank there.

Had he lost 5 in a row after a year of mediocre results, that’s another question. ;)
So you would still be backing Pep after 5 losses in a row?

Spurs are 4 points off second place, and have a 9 goal better GD than Citeh.
This season they've only lost two in a row twice.

Oh wait. Pep is a super coach. We have to give him dispensation because he won the last 4 titles.

What would you be calling for if Citeh lose to Liverpool next weekend?

You and your Ange Out buddies really need to pull your heads out of your asses and start supporting the Manager, Players and Team.

If we had beaten palace and Ipswich but lost away both times in Manchester we would be on exactly the same amount of points, we just need to figure out a way to play against physical teams , it would help if refs didn’t let the oppo players kick shit out of us, but teams know if they let us play chances are we will win , park the bus , get physical and wrestle Vic on a corner and chances are you will score.
Haven’t all of our loses been by a single goal? That says to me the defence is actually working and if our attacking players are on form we win

I can't get my head around their entitlement! You'd swear we have been winning multiple trophies the last few years and Ange is our David Moyes after Fergie. He took over from the Conte/Stelini/Mason mess and we sold Kane the day before the season started! Its insane the entitlement.

Slow steps, we are making progress and results like yesterday highlight it. We haven't played that good since the prime Poch era so Ange already has us playing our best football since 2019. That is progress
