Yeah , why doesn’t Ange come out and say Forster is shit , can’t wait for the next nine games to be over so we can bin him , let’s shatter his confidence before he has to play those 9 games

Guaranteed if he had said we need someone desperately in January , the cry of. “fucking idiot , Forster has to play until January and our manager has just publicly trashed him, sackable offence” would be deafening

Yep, good post.

Ange didn't moan when we lost Kane.
He didnt moan after the injury crisis post the Chelsea game last season.
In fact, he has never used " injuries " as an excuse.

One twitter feed with a headline set off people. I bet many don't read the whole quote.

Vic is injured, Fraser comes in and that's all we know at the minute. That in essence is all he said. Journos baiting transfer questions are a distraction.

Jesus mate. Beating city might not be what it was at the moment, beating them 4-0 away is pretty bloody special regardless if they have injuries / are a bit down at the moment.

To suggest otherwise is just hating.

There’s a lot of hate for Ange here my friend.
People are waiting for him to fail.

We just steamrolled City at their place. There is no negative to that (apart from Vicario injury I guess).

3 points on Sunday incoming. Mark my words.

Nail on the head. For me the more interesting thing he said in that presser was his line on the youngsters (well strictly speaking Austin and Whiteman aren't young any more).

“There's young Luca [Gunter] but to be fair he's been injured so he's not really ready. Brandon's improving all the time and Alfie's been at the club for a while.”

Tells me that Whiteman in particular isn't of any interest to Ange, and that Austin isn't a realistic chance to displace Forster in the next six weeks. With those guys the fact they've never been able to crack in or have decent loan spells just I think means they're not very good. If you're nowhere near modern day Forster when you're 25 I'm unsure you'll ever be even a championship goalkeeper.

If we can get a win against Fulham it's good evidence we're turning a corner.

We've had some very impressive wins this season and are playing in a nice style in parts. what we must do now is get some consistency and show we can mix it up with different styles. I still think we struggle against teams that employ a low block and if we can unpick this we can be a threat at the right end of the league this year.

I do not hate Ange Postecoglou. Neither am I going to pretend he is an infallible sage. City brilliant Palace rubbish the truth is slap bang as ever in the middle. However Forster plays in the next few games, I'm not cutting the people who did not have Forster as the perfect 3rd spot keeper not the understudy is negligent. Now someone made that call and it can and should be questioned.

Keeping my powder dry until early new year. Should we by then be in the semi-final of The Carabo Cup, guaranteed last 16 of The ELC, in the top 4 and added a quality LB, (to rotate with Undogie) and called Vuskovic back from loan, then I'll start to believe we have turned a corner and I'll be a very happy boy!

Yeah it’s a generalisation.

Put yourself in one of these groups

Let’s say 0-25-% hate Ange.
26-74% are neutral on Ange
75- 100% love Ange.

I think most are neutral. There’s quite a few on the opposite ends though.

Well Tbh I’ve not followed the conversation.
However I feel your lack of desire to argue represents a wider malaise within the Ange out fraternity.

Leave the dark side and join us in our cult of positivity and koala’s.

:ange-arms2:

How’s this for a point of view.

Going off the 6 game league form table our win against West Ham was a bigger deal than our win against Man City.
West Ham 10 points from 6. City 9 points from 6.
(We played them both within their last 6 league games).
Go figure that one out!
No, I stated facts over and over. If people want to argue with facts then I'll just stick them on ignore.
Man City are as shit now as they have been since before their takeover.
The end. There is no arguing with that. If anyone does, they have problems.

It's really not.
They're pathetic.
They have Liverpool at the weekend. Could/should see them at 7 games without a win.
They are in serious trouble right now and, for the first time in 16 years, they can't just buy their way out of it.

Is that all it takes to make you happy, you should raise the bar a bit :cautious:

Definitely a generalisation, though I don't think it's "hate" or "love," just rate or don't rate.

I'm one of those that does rate him, and feel he needs time to prove I'm either right or wrong. Those neutrals, from what I've read on here, also feel he needs more time. Those that don't rate him have made their minds up already and want an immediate change. That's where the main schism is, as I see it.

I think the majority agree that our biggest issue is consistency. If we get that nailed, then I think we'll see far more on the "in" side than "out."

I’ve thought for a while that we should change managers when we are peaking, not tanking and the Liv example is an example of modern coaching and bringing someone in at a positive point in time - rather than a negative when it’s a binfire.

Actually think the outgoing coach would be ok with this too. They also leave on a relative high, seems very outdated to me (sacking when in a negative spiral).

Love - he’s not oerfect and neither are his team but that’s largely on our ridiculous CEO. Cruyff and SAF would fail under this bastard

ENIC have seen serious returns on their initial investment.
Think our CEO has done a very good job of making money tbh.

Our main aim is not to be title challengers that’s for sure. We are clearly not competing with City and don’t have the historical expectations of Liverpool or United

Can't believe people are saying that a 4-0 win away at the champions isn't that great a result. You're off your fucking heads.

They're in a very poor run of form right now, and their morale looks pretty much on the floor, but they're still second in the league, 4 times in a row champions and that was their first home loss in over 50 matches. 50. If you can't enjoy that win for the week why do you even bother supporting the club? If they were so shit everyone would be going up there and battering them. But they don't. It was a great result and performance from spurs on Saturday. Just fucking enjoy it man.

Dude, be real, they are has been's and will 100% get relegated this season. Haaland is a fraud, Foden clearly all hype, Silva a journeyman, Savio a joke and their bench is hilariously poor - lol they brought on KDB and Grealish, two of the worst PL players of all time.

We should be embarrassed we only scored 4 - Pathetic.

I will be very upfront and honest.

I dislike Ange. It’s not really about tactics, although there’s something to be said there. I thought his behaviour and comments after the City game last season were complete bullshit. I think he’s got an absurd ego and I hate how this bloke has been cast as a potential saviour of the club when he should be thanking his lucky stars for being anywhere near us.

I obviously want the club to succeed and I do not, in any way shape or form, blame Ange for the broader state of where we are.

So, in short, I don’t really trust him. I cringe at how the fanbase has elevated him to this level of abstract noun ‘Angeball’ as if he can hold a candle to Pep or Klopp. And I remain dumbfounded as to why everyone claims he’s this inspiring and genial coach, when the majority of interviews he’s a childish mix of sullen anger and passive aggressive spite.

But look, I’ve supported Spurs for the best part of 50 years. All I want to see is us do well. That’s it. I have zero fucking clue how that happens. If I had to make a bet, I suspect he ends up being a slightly better version of AvB. I’ve given up on the league this season, but that’s more my malaise and my own problem.

I’d fucking love to win the Europa.
