Jol and Redknapp would get more out of this team in my opinion.(I'm not even necessarily Ange out, but he's not the getting results we should and need)

I don't think anyone is thinking we're capable of a title.

We're struggling at the moment to reach European football, which in my eyes is top 6.

I wouldn't be shocked if we don't get more than 6 extra points come 1st January

Well that's neither here nor there really, we're a world away from the Jol and Redknapp days anyway.

So if that's the case the question is that what is the reality that everyone thinks Tottenham Hotspur are in because as far as I'm aware that many people would have expected us to be challenging for the top 4 if not the top 6 which we are, and still in the cup comps and a healthy position to qualify for the next round of the EL, so if that's the case what's the problem?

If you're mad at isolated results like today, Ipswich, Palace etc.., then fine but screaming for the manager's head when there's a set back even though he's currently matching your own expectations is kinda...I dunno, it doesn't make sense to me.

Let’s replace Ange with someone who can get a tune out of our mix of teenage punts , constantly injured players , on loan overpaid senior players , players who could not get in Poch’s starting line up, and an academy Hail Mary .
Let’s not forget our once great player who has definitely seen better days , then throw in a chairman who won’t do what it takes to change things .

Yeah let’s blame Ange and let the guilty man appoint choice number 11 on his list of replacements having been told to jog on by the first 10

Fixtures for the rest of the year, out of that lot based on how we’re playing I can only see two wins maybe a draw but a miserable end to the year god I hope I’m wrong but……..+ they games are horrible as in Rangers & United are cup need to be won, Bournemouth, Forrest , Southampton & wolves need/should be won we are the better team( we ain’t ) but should be beating them and to make a statement in regards we’re improving giving chelsea & Liverpool a game perhaps no beating them but at least matching them aaaaaaaaaaaand we won’t…….getting through them big Ange will be doing well

I'm not sure, we'll most likely pick up some surprise results in there like we always do.

I just don't think we're in a bad position to warrant sacking a manager. There are clear signs of progress, just we are very inconsistent.

Thursday Sunday is taking its toll. Ask the tactical genius at Villa how he's getting on this season for example.

There is a long way to go yet. What's the point of ripping everything up midseason? Can't see it tbh with you.

The inconsistency remains and negates any goodwill earned by results like United away or City away.

Never fails that it's always 1 step forward and 2 steps back. We're stuck in neutral with Ange, doing just enough to keep him from getting sacked.
Yep. After every good result you hope its the turning of a corner which it isnt, then every bad patch is rescued by plucking a Utd or City win out. Rinse and repeat. Its just keeping his head above water and not much else.

after liverpool that could be 6 home games on the bounce without a win!!!!!

was boos at full time today. lose to bournemouth and then the dirty <removed>s and its going to be very loud at FT after that.

This is exactly what I'm talking about they are not isolated results, these results have become normal and in a fair few, the performances are worse.

We are not competing for top 6, we are hanging on points wise.

We simply should be doing better in my opinion.

They are isolated results just like City 0 Spurs 4 was and United 0 Spurs 3, it work both ways.

I don't know what your idea of competing means but we're bunched with a load of teams competing for top 4/6, the table is tight so I have no idea what you think we're currently competing for because the table says exactly that.

A week in football is incredibly short and so are the memories of some here, this particular result isn't Ange's fault, we have far too many out injured to sustain the football he wants us to play.
We will get some amazing games and some to forget during this season. We have been in decline since Dembele left and over the next few years one by one our very very good team has become a mediocre.
posticoglu took the reigns during a very very difficult period, something that a lot of top top managers wouldn't have as the task is bloody hard.
stick by him or its just another revolving door appointment with Levy sitting back escaping all the flak that should be dropped on his lap because if you want to blame anyone its that little twat.

All very reasonable points.

They are great/good wins, not expected results. ultimately became must win games and also pointless because we drop points to Leicester, Brighton, Palace, Ipswich and Fulham.

We dropped most of them points with a next to fully fit squad and now we're 9 players out, so who's the mastermind behind that. Thinking we'll pick up points after the fact is just wishful thinking.

you stated Spurs fans should start "living in reality" right? that we are not the Tottenham of 2017. I'm asking what in your opinion Is the reality? is the reality now that we shouldn't expect to beat the teams I've mentioned? I want to know what in your opinion is our current reality.

Less than 12 months ago he had us in a title race.

So I’m guessing it’s a very fluid reality.
