I suspect the Rangers game might be the most important. The club can see the direction of travel. We really don’t look like mounting a serious Top 4 challenge.

But progressing through Europa and going deep into the competition will save Ange.

If I had to bet, he’ll see out the season and will be replaced in the Summer. Wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up with someone like Howe.

Not sure it would be Howe, but I would have liked to see straight after Pochettino.

I don't think he could go from Newcastje to us, without having a break but he has shown he can handle pressure.

Whether he has winner in him I am less sure about.

Eddie howe? Really. We spent a billion on a new stadium to have eddie howe. I agree we will give Ange him till end of season and see where we are. If no trophy or top 4, no party and will be replaced.

Postecoglou looks a bit broken to me, at present. As though he just doesn't know how to solve the riddles.

So in effect he is not really impacting the game or the team, and seems to not know how to change things once a game is up and running.

Like any game we play, it could go either way with Postecoglou.

I'm hoping I'll have fully written it off in my head before the game so I can at least enjoy pre match pints without bothering to have hope. Won't work though will it... no doubt a very miserable walk back down to seven sisters after!
Its times like this I actually miss the walk back to seven sisters, these days I have a 4 hour coach journey home. It's going to be midnight by the time I get home next week.

I don’t think ENIC are in the slightest bit concerned about winning anything. It’s about having a manager that has a profile and can be sold to the fans as something resembling ambition.

Howe is polished, reasonably young. Has managed both players and a boardroom. He’s played some good football at times.

Alonso et al aren’t going to go anywhere near us.

This fraud still has defenders, amazing to see, we could be bottom of the table and the cultists still won't admit to the truth in front of their eyes.

Put that aside for a second and imagine the best players in our team, the internationals who go away and speak to their Liverpool compatriots and hear about how Slot has got them purring, and then they think we could have had him managing us but the club was too cheap to do it so instead we've got a fucking fraud with fellow no marks rounding out his coaching staff.

It's interesting that Howe is the only manager without a public expiry date on his deal.

His original contract was until 2024. But they renegotiated it in 2022 and now it is just a "long term deal".

Then we have some right neolithic managers because despite being kamikaze as you say, we are still 7th..
bet we wont be after chelsea. we are 2 points ahead of 13th...

even if we beat bournemouth it only delays the inevitable, just like the coventry result did.

do you honestly think this guy is going to turn things around and get us even competing for 5th let alone anything actually worthy of being considered glory? if you do then im afraid you are incredibly naive and no doubt get taken advantage of with a lot of things in life.

I have to be honest i

Could be the relentless challenge of the premier league. Remember wagner at cruddersfield had enough as too much.
