It's because Ange is not half as clued up as he thinks he is. He cannot fathom that what works in low grade leagues won't translate at this level with the players he has. I've reluctantly come to that conclusion but I'm pretty convinced of it now. He's a guy who has a combine harvester and he'll use it whatever the job. When he's bringing in the hay, it's golden. Lovely big square bales. But then he uses it to trim a front garden and leave it looking like a nuclear fallout waste land, or drives to Costa in it and smashes into Fiestas and Puntos on the way. His lack of flexibility is making him and us look foolish.
The guy's 60 years old. He's not changing and we're not winning at this elite level with him. No-one is.
But I'm also washed out as regards the Spurs manager circus, so right his moment can't summon up the energy to care if Ange stays or goes. The next manager will also have to deal with some Lange prospects and players with half their eye on a bigger prize. Until the rectal tape worm that is Daniel Levy is out of the club, this cycle will go on and on.
