I said on another thread, there’s always a temptation to over complicate things and build a theory.
The kid might just be a total and utter prick. Simple as that. He obviously rubs a lot of people up the wrong way. If he’s failing to meet the basic standards of professionalism, there’s your answer.

you expect him to actually know how to tactically sort it out? if its not working he just thinks its down to the players either not being good enough or not having enough desire. its nothing to do with mighty big ange! hes won the treble in scotland dont you know that?!!
We've just played Palace, AZ, Ipswich, Fulham, Roma, City and Bournemouth.
That's not exactly a daunting run either and we've shat the bad. A run which includes Liverpool and Chelsea is nightmare fuel compared to that.

What i think a lot of fans just don't get, is sacking a manager isn't always about who is next.
There comes a point where the relationship is so utterly toxic and broken down that just by being there, results will deteriorate.
That is what is happening now.
It's like pulling a bad tooth out. You'd like to have it done at the same time a nice new implant is ready to go in, but the pain may be so bad you just have to yank that fucker out. Things will improve just by having the bad tooth out.
That's a fair point. I imagine Harry Redknapp was "happy" with Saha and Nelson at the time. It's a tricky tightrope to walk because you need to keep the chairman onside. I just can't believe Ange is happy with the squad. We have got teenagers in many of our backup roles at the moment. There aren't enough experienced footballers across the whole squad. You'd almost rather bring on Nelson and Saha, who have experience in the game, than rely on Bergvall and Gray who are children. Even Sarr and Kulusevski are still children, relatively.
Ange is never going to say; "Our squad can't compete, lower your expectations. We need three years of squad building due to the mistakes of the past." Maybe he should do, but that's just not in his character. For that reason I still blame the board for 90% of the issues. I think that who Ange is has been obvious for decades, and it's really the club's fault for hiring a manager whose strengths and weaknesses are well known, and not giving him the tools to compete on his own terms... and not for the first time.
Telling him he has to change his style to fit into our board's unambitious box, when he has never done that and never will? I feel like Ange has been hung out to dry by ENIC, although I concede also by his own aggressive messaging, though I'm loathe to blame him for that. He is who he is. I still stand by him, I just don't think that ENIC will provide him the squad he needs, in the time frame he needs, because to do that would be too expensive and risky for them. Ironically, by being so fiscally conservative, they take massive risks on the football pitch but they don't understand that because they haven't got a clue how to set up a competitive football club on the field.
The logic is Levy sacks managers when the heat is on. He's sacked 10 of his 12 fulltime managers during the season. We'll probably be 12th come Sunday evening. I have no idea if he'll pay up for Frank or Iraola or go down another route but i can guarantee he wont take 5 months of getting abuse and watching us in lower mid table.

Doing well in shit leagues really went to his head! He is one of the most basic & one dimensional managers I’ve ever seen.

I was beyond shocked what happened in the last 3rd of the game yesterday.
And I get it - everyone get things wrong sometimes. But it happens way too often.
Also fully agreed on the "lessons learned" part. I feel that sometimes there are some moments where we try something, and it then works. It could sometimes be as simple as to just notice it and add to your "notes". But recently I've got a feeling that we try hard not to even use those kind of observations anymore.
I mean, I am not claiming that Djed Spence would be a new coming of Kyle Walker. But twice he has gotten meaningful minutes he has done really well and brought on energy. Once helping us to salvage our Carabao cup survival with a goal.
So why the heck not to give him some playing time where possible? I don't get it.
And there are so many more things that generally puzzle me about Ange decisions.
In this league (and top level football in general) it's not just about trying to play pretty football. You need to win the battles without the ball. You need to do the dirty work. Ange thinks just having the ball and trying to play is enough. Maybe in the j league or a 1 team league in Scotland but not at this level. We have absolutely no resilience about us (see Brighton game) and don't do what it takes to win games.
This filters down from the manager that only wants to have possession of the ball neglecting all other areas of the game. You need players that can battle as well as ones that can play or some that can do both. We don't have any and this is epitomised by the likes of Johnson,maddison,Son,bissouma etc. You need wanyamas and dembeles and parkers in your team it's an absolute necessity if you want to atleast even try to be a serious club.

If we lose to chelsea then the boos will be very loud for mr levy to ignore i reckon. Could be down to 13th if results dont go our way. But we're a weird team this season and prob end up winning this.
Our recruitment is a big issue, as much as the manager. A lack of determination and winning mentality is a massive problem. Only deki seems to have any balls. Everyone else are not up to scratch mentality wise. You need this more than pure talent in the Premier League. We have become soft tottenham again.
i dont put bissouma with that lot for being a bit of a fairy, he needs leaders and men around him though.
we play with a back 2, the FB's are not in traditional FB positions they are in the fucking midfield and sometimes even higher. its so easy to break us down, the players must be exhausted mentally from playing handicapped every game for so long.
I dont mind going for two 50m players but they need to be very good. Also imo the standard of footballer has gone down and there are not many players you can justify spending 100m on.
