I'm not offended, just saying injuries happen. And there seems to be the over-reliance on our injury list being the cause and excuse for our shitness this year when, lets face it, we've had 80-90% of our first choice 11 fit and playing in many defeats this year.

The last line is there because you just dismissed the challenge and impact to Chelsea in a competition we've struggled in before.

Well we aren't Chelsea and they have a significantly stronger squad than perhaps anyone on the planet.

Fair enough fella.Tbh he wasn’t someone I knew a great deal about same applies to some of the other managers we were linked. What I do like about him is he’s honest about the job and he’s desperate to succeed with us, yes he does talk bollocks at times but then again what manager doesn’t .
yes. I was disappointed when he arrived. Knew what he would bring (loads of bs and some new fans). Just not someone I want managing Spurs.

The bloke has 10 of his players out ansd school kids on the bench and people are calling for his head. What a joke! With all these injuries mid table sounds about right to me. It’s impossible to be near the top with all these player out.

I had a look at Chelsea, Woolwich, Liverpool lineups over the weekend. Each had maximum 3 to 4 players out. You take 10 players out and those clubs are mid table.

You should all be greatful that we’re not in the bottom 3.

If we stick with Ange and are top half come February, we will push hard for top 5 maybe 4th. 8 out of the last 10 games are very winnable.

You’re assuming we won’t get more injuries. Udogie went off last night after all.

We have Liverpool, Forest, Wolves, Newcastle and Arse coming up in the league. Let’s see how many points we win by then.
Thank you Captain Obvious

no drama. Everyone has their view and opinion. If that's how you see it that's good for you. 👍We will see.

Very good win. So'ton aren't very good but you can only beat what's in front of you and we blew them away in the first half, and a few of our youngsters look very promising.

As I've written many times (feels like a cut and paste) we need to follow this up with a string of respectable results now.

Which fanbase? The few that frequent this forum?
I can say only about people there, cause i dont have any other touch points with Tottenham fans, and i don't regard Twitter fans opinions. So yeah, im reffering to people there. And there are not just couple of them, just check vote pool at forum. Many of outers are respected posters that are attending games. And also, i think that Bournemouth match has shown some of away fans also started losing their patience. If you think its just couple people here that want him gone, it may not be an accurate take in my opinion.

Same away fans who were cheering his name last night.

I wouldn't take the Ange out sentiment seriously, it's just a couple of frustrated fans who have already made their minds up and won't relent on their position no matter what, some just say it out of pure emotion when we lose, some just say it to get their voices heard, it's all a big pile of meh really.

Re away fans: this shows exactly that feelings are mixed. I'm personally outer, and i'm frustrated when we lose, happy when we win, don't have personal agenda against Ange, really want things work there for him and us - but i just don't see it. And i see many valuable takes here at forum that confirms what i think. Describing peoples doubts only as a thing where couple very active posters who are vocal/aggressive with their opinion/frustration and everyone else are happy with Ange is simplification i believe.

Yes, and there's another fairly substantial group like me who aren't exactly outers but are sceptical as we don't see tactical flexibility, adaptation or enough PL-ready players to mount a serious challenge on multiple fronts at this moment in time. that doesn't make us non-fans, reactionary, or so on...it's just a reasonable doubt at a particular manager's style.

Out of interest, if we beat United without our 3 first choice CB's; our first choice keeper; Bentancur; Richarlison; and, now, potentially, our first choice left back... Would you consider that just the bare minimum of what you expect?
Forster has provided competent cover for Vicario. Spence I think can also provide good enough cover for an out-of-sorts Udogie and I believe did so at Old Trafford earlier this season. Bentancur is a useful midfielder but I believe we have options available to be able to deal with his absence. Richarlison is about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.

I wouldn't consider Ben Davies as a first-choice over Dragusin and I don't think Romero will be missed too much judging by his poor form this season. I'll accept that the centre-back options are a concern presently but that's partially down to a manager who I think prioritised his short term future over the long term one of the club with his selfish selections for the Chelsea game by picking not fully fit players - so that's on him.

Either way a poor Spurs team can have fair hopes to defeat an average Man Utd team at home. Injuries and suspensions are not an excuse to lose yet another cup game.

This is an example of the weak mentality and culture embedded in the club and around it. We shouldn't be looking for excuses of why it's acceptable to fail again in the cups. It should be 'we have absences but you still ain't walking out of WHL with a win.'

Look at the difference between the fan's reactions last night compared to the reaction against Bournemouth, what do you notice?

Dont know, you tell me. That only minority of away fans were after Ange at Bmuth, and yesterday everyone was behind him? Great, good for guy. And us since we won match. Not a big foundations for him though if mood depends on single match results. And still you can't imply that only a few guys here are not happy based on that. Problem is wider, and i will stop here, cause i dont think i can write anything new regarding this.

It was a simple yes or no question, buddy.

I don't really give a fuck who you consider our best 3 Centre Backs - all I care about is the fact that three out of four aren't available and whether you think that might just possibly be a determiner in how to evaluate performance?

Clearly you think Daniel Levy has provided Tottenham with MORE THAN ENOUGH quality and depth this season. I expect to see your thanks and appreciation in the Enic thread

Injuries were used last season as an excuse. And again this season. See the pattern.

Point is, yes they are issue, but:

- they increasingly look to be in part self-inflicted
- he bought kids + Solanke in the summer, when maybe he needed some more finished articles.
