Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Hearing reports that Ange deliberately sits on the aisle seat on overcrowded trains and puts his bag on the window seat to make it as difficult as possible for people to have a comfortable voyage

Despicable.

I lost interest in Spurs under Venables.

If you look at the squad Venables inherited it was his signings that sowed the seeds for what went wrong after he left the club.

Venables inherited the best Spurs side until Poch's 15 / 16 team.

He signed Paul Stewart, for a huge fee, as a striker who couldn't score goals and sold Clive Allen.

He sold Ruddock to Southampton and then bought him back. He filled the side up with mediocrity like Sedgley, Samways, Fenwick, Cundy, Austin, Edinburgh, Walsh, Mimms and many others while allowing quality players to leave.

He signed Gascoigne and Lineker who carried his team until the day they left.

Ossie inherited a bucket of shit from Venables and every subsequent manager struggled as a result.

Nick Barmby, Sheringahm and Anderton were also decent signings.

Vennables/Spurs sold Ruddock after he broke his leg on his debut and managed 11 games in 2 years (back) to Millwall. Vennables brought Ruddock back from Southampton, who left Spurs (again) because Sugar sacked Vennables. Ruddock was one of the most vocal in support of Vennables. They were good friends.

Barmby, incredibly, came through our youth academy.

Difficult to say today as things weren't as well documented in the 80's and early 90's, but I think we were selling players off regularly to stave off administration due to Scholar. Venables was also prone to dogy dealing IIRC. IE, signing and selling players as favours for a brown envelope or 2.

Paul Stewart was hit and miss I’ll give you but he did score the winner in the FA Cup final and took it well

No he didn’t.
Were you very drunk that day or something??

Edit: A classic moment in Spurs history.

My point was that Venables sold Ruddock for £50k I think and bought him back for x15 that figure. Ruddock should never have been sold back to Millwall while Venables bought the likes of Fenwick, Cundy, Austin and Edinburgh.

Venables transfer dealings diluted the quality of the Spurs squad he inherited and the only transfers in of note were Gascoigne, Lineker, Sheringham, Anderton and Barmby who although young did sign for Venables despite United wanting him.

Ok he scored a decent goal in the 54th minute

I made an error because it was that goal that stood out for me nearly 33years ago

So well done but why do you have to be such a cunt about it?

You could have just said that I had made an error instead of accusing me of being pissed!!

Never made a mistake in your life?

Hahahahaha

Fucking hell. That’s the most touchy response I’ve seen on here to a nothing comment.

Are you pissed up now as well??

Smoke a joint mate. Chill your trousers!!

How is it shit baiting? Let’s see what he said shall we?

Said “this is the hardest job in any walk of life” without a hint of sarcasm, he is dead serious when he says that and it’s absolutely insulting to many people around the world to make such an idiotic statement.

This man gets paid in one season more than most people will ever see in their entire life and for what?

I would love to see what this man would do if he was in the forces, wouldn’t last 10 mins.

You wouldn't make him minister of defence, he would push the line so far up , it would be in the bordering country.
We would be taken over in a day such are the gaps.😁

There's nothing to discuss about your weak take on a throwaway comment, sorry if that offends you.

This is like the time when you had a meltdown when Daniel Levy was on the pre season tour with the players and you were wondering why we aren't signing any players, just complete football fan hyperbolic hysterical nonsense, you read way too much into...like everything.

Now if you wish I we can discuss other jobs and compare the difficulty factor if you want to go down that path

I'll start, McDonalds manager
Shady, your response demonstrates exactly why your opinions hold so little weight.

Rather than engaging with the actual argument, you consistently misframe others as irrational or ‘hysterical,’ seemingly because you lack the ability to address their points with any substance. Case in point: Ange’s comment about football management being the hardest job in the world.

My critique was straightforward—it’s an absurd and tone-deaf statement, especially when compared to roles like military service, healthcare, or emergency response. It’s not ‘hysterical’; it’s a basic observation of perspective and privilege, the man makes £2 mill a year after tax to stand at the side of a pitch, an absolutely absurd statement and frankly embarrassing.

Also, regarding your bizarre fixation on my past opinions, like a pre-season comment you’ve clearly clung to (which I can’t even remember, wouldn’t surprise me if you had it in a word document somewhere along with your collection of poster quotes you bring up after losses) further highlights your obsession. You spend countless hours here telling others to ‘chill’ or ‘touch grass,’ yet your own posts reek of hypersensitivity and a relentless need to stir conflict. The irony is almost impressive.

Frankly, your contributions add little value on here. You dodge real debate, distort what others say, and resort to petty quips. Your attempts to provoke don’t upset me and your opinions barely register because you rarely offer any on the debates at hand—the only thing that even remotely irritates me about you is how you drag down the quality of discussion for everyone else.

If you genuinely believe in fostering better debate, start by engaging with points intelligently rather than projecting your own lack of self-awareness onto others. Otherwise, it’s impossible to take you seriously.

In before you say your “You think I am going to read that” because you have nothing else to offer.

I will save you the time, like I said before, I don’t actually care if you read it, so no need to respond unless it’s actually constructive and offers a counterpoint to what I initially said about Ange.

No completely sober but can recognise a cunt quite easily

Never smoked either

So nothing wrong with your response to my original post then if want to talk about being touchy?

Wanker

Time you changed your name again?

I can think of a few

But don’t worry about replying unless you’re more immature than I thought as you’re on ignore!

“Wildly offensive and ill informed “

Perfect

If Shady told me it was raining I would stick my head out the window to check - absolute shit dribbler.

I swear he gets off on just being wrong about everything - it’s the only explanation

As for you, you couldn't even provide a counter point to your stupid argument that you tried to present earlier, your now having to piggy back and hide behind someone's else's post just to save face, allow it.

Do some better research next time, or perhaps better still try and watch more Spurs matches, it's not difficult. 👍
