I can't really knock him for all the nice things he said and he sounds like he was actually invested in this club a bit because he knows our history. They asked him so many questions about Ange but he handled it with class in fairness.

IDGAF tho, we need to smash them up.
I'm small time. I just don't like him. He's still fake to me. What, is him expecting to say bad things about us, or any team they are gonna face? Not possible. Russell Martin was more genuine when he spoke at length about Ange and us before playing us. That was a respect that could be felt. Not from Slot for me. Every praises or punts or criticism or sarcasm, he will always have that wry smrik.

I personally think one of Bissouma or bentancur will be sold and which ever one stays will be serpassed by Gray mid way next season, he has unreal talent for his age and he is out performing Dagusin out of position at CB and I think Dagusin is doing ok
He does look a real prospect, it was good business by the club.
We won't probably see the best of him for another 6 or 7 years due his age, has a big future ahead of him.

Why would you even ask this? Everyone knows that when Spurs lose this place is jam packed with people offering support and a great sense of togetherness and mutual appreciation despite our petty differences... :cautious:

Oh yeah and I've never been called a cum guzzler or Levy lover for daring to have a slightly different opinion to Honest John Honest John and the gang.

Premier League I guess it makes it feel even bigger but still Premier League a month ago

So how well do you think Woolwich would be doing without

Raya
Gabriel
Saliba
Timber
Odegaard

All at the same time plus 6 of their regularly used subs ( not just peripheral players) were out . They struggled just without Odegaard

Take out of Liverpool

Van Dyke
Konate
Robinson
Gravenberch

I won’t mention goalkeepers cos Kelleher is no Forster he is levels above Forster

Then knockout 6 subs that they regularly use

Both the above have vastly superior squad depth than Ange has been given.. As for Chelsea their squad depth is off the chart

Let’s not forget how Woolwich crumbled when they lost Saliba alone for 6 games towards the end of the season before last .

Think there is a serious lack of appreciation of the hand Ange has been dealt .

How well was Ange doing when he had basically all of that?

This is the issue. Yeah we have injuries and should take it in to account. We still had a point from two games against the two promoted sides PRIOR to injuries.

We weren’t consistently picking up points pre all those being out and we aren’t afterwards either.

We had this last season too btw - wait till Ange gets his players back. Well he did and we still weren’t consistent.

If I thought with a fully fit team we’d be flying then I’d be behind him. We aren’t and won’t be. There will always be excuses for this man.

Calling people "cum guzzling Cultists" is just their way of saying "tough luck old chap, I respect your desire to support the manager but I fear you are erroneous"

Or something like that...

Ah ok - I just took it as a coping mechanism by grown men who are unable to deal with losing games of football and being made fun of by their mates who support other teams but now I truly get it.

His underlying message was a bit patronizing.

Good post, he's not sacking him anytime soon unless it gets really bad. Ange does a good job of protecting the owners and putting everything on his back as opposed to other managers turning their back on him.

Yeah this is actually true, he is just happy to be here and thankful whereas other coaches felt they could challenge the board.

He is well behaved so as long as that continues he will keep getting fed treats.

So you're saying Ange is a boot-lick? .

He'll keep his job so long as he's happy to continue his roll as Daniel's whipping boy?

Hmmm :sonhmm:

There's a degree of truth in all this, but if you think a public campaign against the board by the manager is going to A. change Levy's behavior, B. oust ENIC from ownership, or C. maximize our chances of winning games, you just weren't paying attention during the Conte era (or the Poch era for that matter).

Levy Out is the fans job, it's our job. The manager's job is to coach the team. That Ange does that without the customary woe-is-me trail of complaints about the referees, the media, the board, his players, and so on and so forth has always seemed sensible and endearing to me.

If I believed a manager cunting off Levy in the little Sky postmatch interview corner would cause him to sell or spend more I'd be demanding that too, but I don't see how anyone can really believe that anymore.

Fair comment.

Although the poster I was quoting suggested this is why he'd keep his job and why he'll only be sacked if results were (quote) really bad

If that's the case, I'd find that alarming. The managers ability to manage a football team should be his overriding job requirement. Not his willingness to suck up to his boss

Can we cease and desist with the 'what drives these sad fools to say the same thing on the internet over and over again'.

We're all sad fuckers. There's no moral distinction between 'moaning' and 'moaning about moaning'.
