For once I'm going to disagree with you mate. While he hasn't been as bad as I feared he might, there were two other mistakes in the United game alone that could have been costly.

He had seemed to be improving with every game up until United though, so hopefully that was just a blip and he's silky smooth with his passes vs Pool

The thing is though it it completely avoidable but Ange was pressed on it this week and he said if the build up doesn’t happen then it causes more problems. I think we will just have to muddle through. A competent club would of course have a back up with similar traits as the number one but we are spurs under levy so we don’t have that kind of nous and planning.

I kind of agree with him only I don't think people are looking for perfection, I think they are looking for things to be more predictable.

I'm saying this as someone who has spent thousands of hours analyzing data and video for other sports... but we over value analysis and analytics, especially as fans. You can analyze a game and look at expected numbers after the game and say that's why something happened but it really wasn't. There are so many different factors and most of them are impossible to accurately measure i.e., the physical condition of the players on both teams, the emotional and psychological condition of the players on both teams and then to a certain degree, luck. And those things change during games.

Take the scum game last night for example, if Mateta and Hughes take their pretty easy chances early in the game, the emotional and psychological conditions of both teams are drastically different. And that's just scoring chances so it's easy to see but in reality, making a few good or bad passes early in a game can have the same impact on both sets of players.

Sometimes it's better just to enjoy the game.
