Will that be any better?

He'll have to deal with the same issues Ange does now.

Everyone will have to deal with the same issues at the club anyway.

I'm still rooting for the guy to turn it around but even I am finding it hard to defend him anymore, I don't really want a change because if we do change it means it's another failed season but if we do...

In the summer, we won’t have won any trophies but will get to some quarters and semis, we’ll finish atrociously midtable - some of our better players will go and play to compete elsewhere, due to being midtable we’ll attract an even lower standard of player as we’ll be shopping in a different store. The same fans will be wondering how it went so wrong all whilst singing the name of our competition winner manager whilst we go and try and turn over Fulham in a “hoping to be top half” six pointer.

Yeah, and who cares? It's not really that much different to finishing 4th and still not winning anything. Hopefully the tickets would be cheaper.

If the stadium was still full, we'd still get the same recruitment policy and every now and then one of those players would come good and be amazing until Levy sold them. You make it sound like what you have just described is life changingly different to what we have been for 20 odd years.

Well no manager since ramos has had us this low, every other manager has had these same issues and managed to at least have us around the top 6. So it’s actually more likely to say Iraola who’s out performing us with a much worse squad currently, would likely improve us from this absolute shit show we’re in right now.

So your prognosis is just leave it as it is? Let this club become even more of a laughing stock than it already is….it will take of itself will it?

We are a fucking banter club.

Tell me a viable alternative who will come in right now unless you want Ryan Mason ball, tell me how would be any less of a laughing stock with him in charge...again

I hate to break it ti you but we've been a 'banter club' for years.

Iraola will be under more pressure than before, play twice a week and will probably be left short during the transfer window.

Looking at what he's done at Bournemouth is promising but doesn't tell the whole story.

Every week people go off the deep end in positive and negative ways based on the result. Last week all was right with the world and this week the sky is falling. The organization has committed to this manager and style of play. Until the injured players get back I believe they'll have the same problem we all do of trying to figure out what part of the result you can attribute to the injuries and what part to the way Spurs choose to play. I don't see a point in changing managers until can say for sure if the system can work or not. I think I know the answer, but really I don't. I think we're just going to have go back to our seats and buckle the seat belts until we get through the turbulence. That won't be any time soon.

Excellent post.

I understand why some people feel like a new manager would bring them some hope but they only need to look at Amorim for UTD to understand that the issues won't go away because you change a manager.

If the club has committed to really going balls out attack, then they need to really commit and not only see out the season but bring in some better attackers and a defender in January.

Yeah fuck it, let ange play his spurs football manager save until his hearts content. As if he gives a fuck.

Do people genuinely find this brand of football entertaining? I know I've made it perfectly clear I'm ange out but I really can't find anything positive with what he's trying to implement. It's like we are being coached by some Sunday league coach who doesn't give his players any specific instructions other then to tell his defenders to continuously run to the half way line and win a race.

A goal kick cutting through us, a defenders over the top pass cutting through us. There's no actual skill to this and even if we had better players I still think we'd get found out as this tactic is not sustainable.

I'll keep going but I've lost the joy in watching us. I feel I could watch a more tactically inspired performance going hackney wrecks or westway 5 a side in ladbroke grove.
