Ange's methods are literally causing our players to drop like flies. For the sake of our players legs, we need to bring in a manager with a proper understanding of the demands of the PL and the relevant sports science. Asking the players to sweat blood every day in training then demanding that they run like wild horses in a chaotic match every 3 days, is suicide. Nobody else at this level is dumb enough to do that.

Even the most intense attacking teams have periods where they rest on the ball and conserve energy. Even the teams that press aggressively do so in a structured way that makes it difficult for the opponent to play out. This manager does not believe in that. He believes in kamikaze football and nothing else, and it's a sign of his proximity to the P45 that we played more conservatively today than we ever have before under him. He is panicking big time because his ideas have taken us to the edge of a relegation battle.
Completely agree, except for him not believing in it. I think its more a case of him not he understand it!

The story goes that Terzic was criticised for being tactically limited in Germany

That’s not to say he did a bad job but if people want Ange replaced because “tactics” (whatever the fuck they think that means) if anything Terzic’s “success” just proves how far you can get without being tactically astute but getting buy in from a squad that fits together like Poch, works.

But Terzic didn’t win CL and bottled it in the Bundesliga, isn’t that what we are meant to be getting away from?

May be but would take that over what Ange is delivering surely?

Seen an interesting stat: Our loss % with VDV/Romero playing is 36%, without is 37% - one draw for over 40 games difference.
Good to remember as well we got injured players back at the end of last season and we were shite just as before. Then it was 'they need a summer break and a pre-season'.
So would expect now all the injured players will start returning but only to coast until summer again because they're not fully fit waiting for another pre-season.
Is this accurate can any brainic verify it?

Compared to Ange Postecoglou Edin Terzic is Rinus Michael's, Arigo Sacchi and Alex Ferguson combine.

Not being funny Anges coaching mentor is Ferenc Puskas a man who was literally playing when they used the W formation and who literallysays 'I dont belive in defence' this crap we are watching did not appear in a vacum. The biggest job the man had was Panathiniakos, by way of Colo colo, and Vancouvor Royals. Edin Terzic for contrast; Jurgen Klopp.

When many months ago I started saying I feared Ange was out of his depth. I had really looked into his coaching history. There's nothing of any comfort their guys. His employment was massive negligence in the first place. Daniel Levy.
Munn is all over his appointment I guess?

I was at The Lane today and watched a turgid performance against an albeit rejuvenated Wolves side but nether the less a side battling relegation and they were the better team who created the better chances.
I know its the same old record, but please remove this no nothing fucking half-wit from our club. I honestly believe this fools methods are detrimental to our young squad.

VDV had hamstring issues before he joined. This latest one seems like we have issues with the way we recuperate players from injuries.

Davies was very clearly from overplaying at his age. And now broke down when returning from injury.

Odobert was a classic Ange first season hamstring, which IS something that apparently comes with the Ange training style and then apparently the players are usually more resilient to it in the second season.. but somehow he is another one who broke down when he came back from injury.

So, if we actually look at it, what we have now is a much bigger issue with players breaking down when they return from injury. It seems like a systematic problem but how can anyone say that systematic issue lies with the manager when he's saying it's the first time in his career that he's seen it but was very clear that first season his teams pick up small strains when they adapt to the intensity..
Doesn’t help when he brings back both CBs just recovering from being injured.

Genuine question because I feel like maybe GR has but have any of our legends ever spoken out against Levy?

Would be helpful if they really looked out for the fans and put the pressure on the bald leader
I seem to remember Hoddle doing an interview a few years ago where he said that when he came back as manager, he had great ambitions of making us competitive for titles, but learned quickly that the owners were going to make that impossible (paraphrasing greatly but that was very much the gist)

Those who

Defensive stats with VDV and Romero in the early part of the season were close to league-leading I recall.

Postecoglu is actually doing some of the stuff people called for: attacking football, taking the cups/Europe seriously (remember all those complaints under Poch through to Conte about rotating players for the cups) .

So now we have a manager who rotates less, asks his players to press high, but we are seeing that we still just don't have the squad to cope. So we see injuries, fatigue and worsening performances. That will all improve if and when we get reinforcements, and/or less fixture congestion.

Personally I think it would be a big error to let Levy off the hook by letting him scapegoat another manager. Those who disagree, what's the plan? Who is next up? And why will they fare any better under

For the "10 players out" lot, the team that lost at home to fucking Ipswich:

Vicario; Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Udogie; Bentancur, Sarr; Johnson, Kulusevski, Son; Solanke.

Amongst the subs, Maddison, Spence, Davies, Bissouma, Werner

Nobody went off injured this game. I haven't bothered to look up the teams that handed Palace their first win, or capitulated to Brighton in the second half.

Stop making excuses for this manager, he isn't the one. There is no perfect candidate to replace him but we can do better than this.

Europa and Cup double.

If we sack him the best I can see is Europa and Cups sacrificed to sneak into the Europa League places
Can you actually see that happening though?

Just purely based on the last few weeks I can't see u going very far in Europe. We'll come against a team that wants it more, and we'll go out.
FA cup, too early to tell. Carabao you can more or less write off as well, not seeing us get past Liverpool
