My biggest problem with today’s game is some people say he was more pragmatic and the full backs weren’t inverting. I watched today’s game and was baffled by the actual tactics. We seemed to have no connection between attack and defence they were miles apart most the match. On top of that we played 70 minutes with a double Pivot. It all just seemed to disjointed and chaotic. Where have all the small triangles gone from the start of last season?

Everything about Spurs now looks undrilled and off the cuff. Our press seems to have no trigger and too often it is only one player pressing. Bissouma and Bentancur look completely confused what they are meant to be doing. Also why is Maddison all of a sudden benched when in a few games he has been our best player. On another note why are Son and Johnson used so poorly and not used to their strengths.

I just watched this two part video on Edin Terzic talking about the champions league semi final win against PSG. (They won both legs 1-0). Different formations, respecting the threat of the opposition etc. They came top of a tough group, won at the San Siro and away to Newcastle, beat Atletico Madrid in the quarter final...watch these videos and tell me you'd rather have Ange taking us through the Europa League instead. I hope the links to him are true and we give him half a season and a run at the Europa League to see what he can do.

Solanke is running himself into the ground on his own. Son and johnson have been terrible tactics or not

What have you seen this season that makes you think we will? I'm tired of hearing the injuries excuse as well, every team deals with injuries, who was injured for the limp dick home loss to Woolwich? Who was injured when we drew 1-1 at Leicester on the opening day of the season? Only VDV missing for the 2-1 loss to Ipswich, as well as the loss to Newcastle, though Newcastle had both their starting CBs out? Full strength bar Son (who has had a very poor season) for the Brighton loss, who also had multiple first team injuries? Being back to full strength is not going to change things, and frankly this kamikaze system and ineptitude of the coaching staff to prepare the team for matchdays is making injuries a feature of Ange, not an excuse for him to hide behind, something he is actively contributing to. Can you remember a single other manager who has had his so called "poor fortune" with injuries?
Same as normal. Fuck all. And we look further from winning anything now than ever.
I Loved ange taking over but its terrible now. Absolutely shocking. Id love him to win something but i think we are further now than ever. If im wrong i will apologise straight away and drink to celebrate like a demon but cant see it happening.
Even the wife said id have 3 days free reign drinking if we won anything. She knows it wont happen because im a miserable fucker when they lose
Night is darkest before the day

The dark will lift when the fraud fucks off back to Brisbane and we bring someone in who has some semblance of an idea of how to adjust to opposition and alter a game state when the game is in progress.
You either have a short memory or haven't been a spurs fan long enough to know that we've had this issue for years. Can remember it really setting in under Redknapp. The board DO NOT want to invest outside of the first 11. It's the the manager or the tactics that leave us with no plan B. It's the absolute lack of real quality and depth.

I didn't have mental expectations this season, I would have been happy with top 6 again and a cup run, i appreciate there's multiple teams that are capable of pumping the resources required to maintain a top 6 run, and certain teams that have been faltering badly will eventually get their shit together (as Chelsea have already and United are bound to eventually), but if you're really trying to equate the absolute fucking madness we've seen this season to anything else we've seen in the past 16 years since Ramos, I just don't agree.
I think you're right in that the lack of investment was what doomed Poch, Conte and Mourinho to failure here, and certainly poor substitution management was a criticism levelled at Poch a lot, but Conte and Mourinho despite having weak benches were still capable of managing the game state. Conte in particular adjusted his tactics to the opposition very astutely in the first 6 months of his tenure, we absolutely dismantled Woolwich at home (and would have done regardless of their red card), Conte really gave Arteta a lesson. I don't think even City have the resources to make Angeball work in the PL, you would need 3 world class players in every position and centre backs with titanium hamstrings.

You think buying Solanke is a good example of buying Prem tested players that worked out?

Look at the top players in the PL. How many of them came from abroad and weren’t “PL” tested?

Look at the top top managers. None of them were PL tested before they took their first successful PL roles.

Utterly asinine thing to say.
Yea I think Solanke was a great purchase for us.
Many other successful prem players moved within the Premier league.
Bizarre you seem to think decent players or coaches can only come from outside the league.

It’s not letting Levy off the hook to say Ange is not the right guy. Both can be true. Ange and Levy can both be not qualified for their jobs.

If you support Ange, my question would be what has Levy done wrong? He’s bought players Ange wanted, he’s kept every player but Kane we wanted and he’s sold those we wanted out.

I can see blaming Levy for keeping Ange but if you like Ange, what did Levy do wrong?
But I’m wondering does ange have any say in transfers. I posted somewhere else that he used holjberg quite often to come on and see out a game.
That shows he can change tactics,
Even if holjberg wanted to leave why did ange replace him with a like for like player?
……. Because Danny won’t spend the cash !

Ange himself has mentioned identifying Odobert and Solanke as targets, he called Maddison to convince him before he came, it's fair to say he definitely has input in transfers. The thing is if as people say Ange has "no control" over transfers, do those same people assume it's the targets we got linked with but didn't get (Gallagher, Eze, Neto) that Ange DID want? If so, what makes you think Ange wanted those players and not Lange and the scouting team that identified them as targets? Ange has been given plenty of senior players in the 3 transfer windows he has overseen, this is very much his team.

I just think he's a quite bad manager doing a really bad job and failing to get any kind of acceptable results and this has remained true over an extremely long period of time with zero ability to consistently get three points. I don't really care for why or how this is or what specifically he is failing at, I just know he is failing and will almost certainly continue to fail. I also know he has no credible record at anything like premier league level, so nothing to fall back on in terms of faith that he will get over this failure.
