Why does it matter whether I said it before we hired Ange or not, is this a court of law - what are we doing here?

Here's your 'evidence' anyway

We had this convo the other day in the ENIC thread, the word 'backed' requires context, you may point to money spent but do you think Ange would rather have Kane or the £100m he spent to replace him?
If you posted that prior to Ange's appointment then fair play.

then follows it up with
but there is always the reason to change and there is always the opportunity to change for everybody.

if he just left it at the sentence you posted then fine but the next sentence opens it up again. I took it as "there are mitigating circumstances which could force me to change it" but could very well be wrong and you could be right.

That's the whole point when someone continuously talks shit, you never really know what they're trying to say.

It happens to them all sooner than later and it’s the point usually when the fans stop listening with the players soon to follow suit.

I know I was dead against it. I'd love to brag about how right I was, but I was also against Slot tbf.
What's interesting is that he was 3rd highest on the poll there. I wonder how many "real fans" went and changed their vote after he was linked/joined.

I voted Nagelsmann. But look at the options then to now, my goodness, now they are awful compared to then. It was obvious we dropped a bollock. I’ll put my crystal ball away…

That’s that dream over then. Postecoglou in the next 48 hours it is then.

Crazy we are in this position. Mid table here we come.

Thanks for that reminder, apparently I voted Slot 😎

I voted Slot as well, but I'll admit that I knew almost nothing about him when I did. Better lucky than good, I guess.

:kanehand:

Not to take anything away from Slot at all, but he did also walk into a very high functioning team as well. Even with a fully healthy team, we pale in comparison to them in almost every aspect of the pitch. That isn't an endorsement of Ange BTW, just being realistic.

point me to a post you have stated wages is the biggest indicator of success prior to our manager being appointed. This could very well be true but I've absolutely noticed certain posters have only started mentioning this when the argument about net/money spent can not be used anymore during the current managers tenure.

Like I've always said, I think Enic have never ever backed previous managers historically but I don't attempt to move the goalposts when they finally do.
I guess being 11/12 currently doesn’t match our wage league position.

Sheesh!
Give to me a break!
He is the most straightforward, honest and easy to understand manager in the modern era.

On whether he would change his style in a bid to reduce injuries:
"There is always the opportunity to change and the one constant with me is that I'm not going to."

What is puzzling about that?
Assume that is some form of sarcasm 😀

That second paragraph is just unadulterated waffle!

If all the players are getting reinjured then there this is a problem with what we are doing with their rehabilitation or are rushing them back too quickly. Just like I said before the Chelsea game kicked off with Romero and VDV.
I called before chavs game as well. He played those two to save his own skin. Any sensible manager would have kept radu in the team as he was doing well and played one of the other two. However he couldn’t wait to bring them in first opportunity. Sane with FBs who he never rotated.

I thought he was saying yes you can change but I’m not going to😀

Ange says we had a good year last year because we finished fifth. This guy never heard of CL qualification?

@16:50 blames it all on injuries. LFMAO

It’s funny now he rewrites history. Last season he couldn’t stop talking about getting top 4 meant nothing and he was only interested only being top or something g like that! He blew the chance for top 4 btw as we fucked last 10 games. Now 5th is a big achievement forgetting the fact we ended up 8th bcos levy put that twat in charge followed by mason. Not that I wanted conte or liked him reckon if he stayed we may have got top 4 again. Certainly after soton gane he would kicked some heads in to make sure it didn’t happen again.
