Yes, that's true. The favouritism in the team is so obvious. Some of our best players are being marginalized. Son, Madders, Spence, even Reggie from what I saw yesterday.
Spence is such a great prospect but he wasn't even included for Europe and not given any game time until all other options were long time injured.
Madders is our top scorer but treated like he's useless. Son is not involved in the game on the left. Even Solanke is not getting so much support.

At the same time some players are undroppable. BJ is not doing anything good. Romero has had a nightmare of a season and doesn't even look like he wants to play. Yet, he's the first to play whenever available. Dragusin and Davies who had a great run covering for Micky and Romero were deemed so shit that Ange had to rush back both players despite their injuries.

There's something really rotten about how Ange has been doing things.
What?!

This is rubbish.

Reggie has been out all season...it's clear that he will be leaving...yet he came on for Ange yesterday and looked like he cared the most.

Spence has suffered from the EL decision yet has taken his chance and Ange even trusted him at CB when illness forced the half time change.

Ange makes strange substitutions. He upsets some with his manners.

The players don't seem to have any issues with him though.

If they can leave, other clubs will buy them.

If they can't, you have lazy, unhappy, disinterested players. A problem for any club.

If our poor form continues and we end up well down the table this will become an issue.

If they can leave yes, that's normally a massive if though.

This is not really how it works, we know how this goes - players have downed tools before and tried to leave this club...what tends to happen worst case is a new manager comes in and players start playing for him again.

We have had the odd Ndombele and Lo Celso who had 0 professional pride but who out of this lot do you think will act like this, I don't really see anyone trying to rock the boat?

More to the point is that players don't tend to leave this club unless stupid bids come on for them or when Levy can't get any value out of them.

This is the least of our worries, trust me.

I am not so sure. Currently it seems the players are still playing for Ange - I don't get a sense of anyone trying to rock the boat, or that he's "lost the dressing room", to use that cliche. That's obviously a positive.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility if we continue to hurtle down the table then the stories of unhappy players, poor training methods etc will be leaked.

We aren't there yet, but it's plausible.

Players move for money add in the fact we are a London club and we should have no problem securing top talent, as long as we are willing to pay the wages!

If West Ham can get Paqueta and Kudus and Wolves can get Cunha then I don't think we'd have much problems attracting players in this league...the only thing stopping us is our own recruitment policy which can be dodgy 😆

The subs yesterday were criminal. Bergwall played really well. Werner had looked much more dangerous than BJ. Kulu was completely inefficient. But I guess these guys are sucking up to Ange.
Spence clearly isn't the kind of guy to pretend that Ange knows what he's doing. Madders also has a bit of an attitude. I guess that's what really matters for a weak manager like Ange. He must know that he's out of depth and he's really insecure. Therefore, he must pick all the yes men in his troop. If he lose he can always blame it on injuries anyway. He can blame it on all things not being equal and balanced or whatever. I've never heard so many excuses from a manager. In the end, win or lose doesn't matter. He always win something in his second season... In Aussie and in Scotland with Celtic.

Even if he were to win the league cup, so what? Doesn't mean that he's a good manager. Cups are as much about luck as anything. He sucked big time in the Champions league with Celtic. First failed to qualify against a Norwegian team and next year finished bottom of the group.

Unhappy players and dressing room leaks is one thing, should that happen then the managers time is up but like I said when that's happened before a new manager comes in and we get a bounce and the players are happy again...football players are fickle like that.

I think though if the players weren't happy you would have heard those stories by now, we have literally hurtled down the table and are at rock bottom it would be very easy to give up on the manager now...you would have seen some sort of evidence on the pitch from all the players especially during this run.

For years we were told “we can’t attract the top talent as we don’t have CL”
Not being in the CL didn’t stop Chelsea from signing anyone , just pay the agents and the wages and players will come.

So then star players would be queueing for West Ham and Fulham if also Woolwich and Chelsea knocked on the door?

Not a chance, there is a pecking order. Previously we had a chance against Woolwich. Chelsea were always hard because they could simply offer higher wages. But there was a time where people would've picked us over Woolwich. Today, we would have to offer much more than them to secure their signature, and that isn't going to happen.

We'll still have more transfer power than West Ham but we're not going to attract the top talent if any other club is also interested.

Yeah that's just a tried narrative nowadays players are following the money, CL football is nice but good players are coming to the Premier League in their droves - you only have to look up and down this league for evidence.

Wow.

Already decided he gets no credit if we win something.

Cups are only won by lucky managers?

Interesting take.

Good Lord what are you taking about, if a player has an option between choosing us, West Ham and Fulham they will choose us because we pay more, it's as simple as that.

This thread is hilarious, just legit making up doomsday scenarios because you want to wallow in self pity 😂

I don't think we're at rock bottom actually, things could get worse! The mood isn't (evidently) as toxic as it was at the end of the Conte era.

Basically we're both speculating on this and we don't know, but I feel there will be consequences to this poor run. We have some good players who won't be happy losers.

Either Ange gets sacked and we get that 'new manager bounce' or we turn it round, but the latter is looking unlikely, at least to me.

They don't have issues with being 12th? Then they don't care about the club. They just care about the favouritism that Ange is dishing out.

Why do you think he's playing Spence now? Because there's no other option. He never believed in the guy even to let him come on for 10 minutes every once in a while. He couldn't spot the talent.

Why has he never trusted Reggie with a few minutes here and there, even though he obviously care. Ask Ange. He's not uncovering any gems until he is forced to. It's up to the manager to spot those things. He just can't do it. After nearly two years he still don't know his strongest formation. It's pathetic.

His idea of a hidden gem is BJ. His marquee player. Of all the players in the world that you can get for 50M, he chose BJ. What does that say about Ange?

So what top talent did we attract under poch when we were regulars in the CL!?

Yeah things could get worse, things could get better though 🤷🏾‍♀️ you're right it's all speculation...I just don't think it's that deep...players wanting out right now is the very least of our worries unless your name is Romero who's contract is up in 2.5 years anyway...plenty of time to turn things around or replace him.

Postecoglou has broken a goal scoring record in the EPL. This means everything! As soon as he gets experienced and talented defenders back into the line up, the winning streak will be huge. The reason Tottenham scores so many goals is due to the way his team plays. He just needs better defenders and possibly a better keeper. The keeper should’ve cut the angle further on the first goal conceded. He should’ve been out further and not showing that much of his far post, even though a handball contributed to the goal.

This thread . :harrylol:

You said our players were being marginalized.

The two players that you could argue that point about this season are definitely Reggie and Spence.

Yet those two have come in and have put in maximum effort for the same manager you say has treated them terribly.

Think it's safe to say that they don't have the same attitude to him as you do.
