This will never be proven.

All I know is pragmatic football didn't work for us with Jose or Conte and playing that way lost the players and fans far quicker than Angeball has.

Sacking Ange is not a surefire way to more points. Can easily make the same argument that such a shakeup would damage us more.

Just have to see what the chiefs end up thinking I guess.

In your view, is there no middle ground between Ange-ball on one side and Cont/Mouringo-ball in the other?

I think it's possible to play attacking football, with coordinated high press and when you need to defend you are organised in defence.
Ange can attack. The bad thing is, that he hasn't in 18 months been able to teach the players how to coordinate the high press end how to play organised in defense. That's on Ange. Of course, it would look a little better if our best defenders and Vicario were available but the structure would still be missing

He must go. Now rather then later. There is still time to save some face this season and probably fight for a win in the Europa League. If we keep Ange, we don't stand a chance against well organised teams that can counter.

Although the most likely reason is the obvious one. He's a yes man who hasn't criticised the ownership. Happy to be in a well paid high profile job getting his scruffy, bearded boat race in front of a world wide audience every week.

No ruffled feathers etc.

Levy will sack him. But the timing will be based on when it becomes a popular decision with the majority of the fan base.

A fan base that seems to be 50/50 at the moment so still too much support for Ange for Levy to pull the trigger

Perhaps without a Kane level star here the players might not have the same hold but once the dressing room is gone the manager very, very quickly follows

The thing is, Ange seems to still have a good hold of the dressing room so far.

Think the players still thrive even though it has going bad result wise lately, and that probably comes down to the way we play, and obviously also his skills to manage a group which struggles.

Maybe also more sound expecations among them at this point, with half the group of players out?

Once we go out of the Europa and there's no chance in hell of CL football next season I think it will happen.

Hope sooner though.

I’ll readily admit that posts on here alter my thinking on Ange. I’m pretty much 50/50 on him. I do think if we replaced him with someone like Iriola, we’d get back to maybe getting CL, do well in the cups, but not win any and generally be a bit more settled. But I think Ange has it in him to have a fucking nightmare (present state), but his way of doing things might just lead us to win stuff.

So I sit at 50/50, then come on here and see him referred to as a fat cunt, getting shit for coughing, getting shit for not laser eyeing interviewers, getting shit for his pressers, etc. Then those supporting him get called cultists, Ange bois, happy clappers. Then I read fans saying they want to lose matches to get rid of him.

Every post like this adds a percentage point onto me wanting him to stay.

Give him grief for not being able to organise the defence. For not getting his “only one of you go forward” message to the fullbacks. For not resting Udogie quickly enough when he was obviously tired and out of form. But calling him a fraud and a fat cunt? Fuck that.

There is no anger at the Ange out group.......I'm Ange in all the way till he is inevitably sacked at the end of the season. I'm sure even the most ardent Ange in fan knows he won't be here next season.

Age of the personality cult? You're thinking too deeply about all this tbh.

You want him out asap, some fans don't think its the right time, that's all it is, a difference of opinion.

The Ange Cult is a phenomenon that should be studied. Has done nothing to deserve any of the worship but will continue to get it.

Apparently people being mean to him on an internet forum is entrenching the support. Which is essentially admitting they care more about sticking it to the meanies than the fact we're 3 points ahead of Crystal Palace in 15th.

But hey, everyone entitled to their (dumb) opinions and all. Like I've said before, he's a dead man walking regardless of what people say - they're just waiting for the right timing imo.
