Don't for one minute think I'm happy with the current situation any less than you , unlike you I don't use it to beat at people .
You seem to think the angrier you are and the more you express makes you a better supporter .

Wrong .
Eh....That's exactly what you've been doing with every post you've been making. 😆

Using the current situation to beat people who are angry, upset, or think we deserve better.

Hey, listen...If you gonna dish it out mate, at least have the decency to take it back, yeah?

Another thing about this injury nonsense. Our top scorer isn't injured yet he can't get a start these days.

Why hasn't he started Madders since he overtook BJ as our top scorer?

Can he not accept that his marquee signing is not even outscoring a midfielder with much less game time? A guy who scored 0 tap ins whereas BJ only scored 2 non tap ins.

Because Madders scored 3 in 2 , leapfrogging BJ. Since then he hasn't been given a start. That's three games now.

Please make sense of it.

When your team is set up to play possession-based football, and the replacements are big drop-offs in ability to keep possession / play out from the back, it's a big adjustment. You either start hoofing it long, or need extra midfielders dropping back to help, or get caught in possession. All three of those affect your ability to control the game and create chances. Then when three of the replacements come down with flu and either can't play or have to drag themselves off their sick bed it becomes an injury crisis mate.

Bentancur (suspended) to Bissouma is a fair drop off IMO in terms of creativity in attack.

The same Richarlison who was our top goalscorer per 90 minutes last season? He netted 0.66 per 90 minutes, higher than Son (0.52), Kulusevski (0.26), Johnson (0.22) and Maddison (0.17). Would be kind of handy to have someone like that to rotate for Solanke and/or Son I would think.

Right because good football teams don't have creative defenders? Trent for Liverpool, Gvardiol for City, Trippier for Newcastle, ...

More than one goal per game? Mate we've scored 14 in our last 6 EPL games. Goal scoring hasn't dropped off, which is commendable considering the drop-off in service due to less effective play by our 2nd and 3rd string defenders.

The problem is we've conceded 15 goals in those same 6 games, the same number as we conceded in our first 14 games (15).

So we're deluded because we think our recent performance, particularly defensively, is not due to some significant degree by the loss of our first choice GK and CB's? Are we more deluded than someone who is trying to convince themselves that there is no injury crisis?

Good post and just to mention, people miss the point of have an injury crisis isn't just about missing established names, it's about not having the options to rest and rotate...not having players like Odobert, Richarlison, Moore for example means that you have to give more mins to Son, Solanke and Werner when they should be getting adequate rest especially in period where you're playing every 3 matches.

I guess some fans are more passionate than others mate.🤷‍♂️

You once said you got a thrill out of seeing Spurs fans getting wound up after a defeat.

This season must be fucking exhilarating for you. The most thrilling since you joined the community.

Oh look another bear face lie from someone who constantly lies.

Wondering what your football mates - Spurs or other clubs think about Ange.

When I show mine what spurs twitter, reddit, youtube or here/SC have to say on Ange they to a man cannot believe it that Spurs faithful are Ange out. Some follow us, others follow different clubs. To a man they believe our match going fanbase are idiotic and thick for wanting Postecoglou sacked and that he is being cruelled by unprecedented injuries. Hard to gauge as we do have national bias.
As a season ticket holders that goes to most home games. I get the sense that the home support is still very much behind ange. Levy we are very much fed up with but ange still has the support. That's not guaranteed we still need to turn this around and if returning players plus any jan buys in don't improve the performances then this could change very quickly.

We’d probably need 15 wins out of those 18 to get fourth. We’ve fallen so blew that years ago. I don’t know how many we’d need to get fifth 13/14 wins? It’s been a disaster of a season.
15 wins out of 18! We still have Woolwich,Chelsea and Liverpool away so there’s the 3 we will lose 🤣🤣

It’s been an utter abomination of a season but I honestly don’t think Levy will sack Ange. He’s here till at least the summer and unless he changes it will get worse. I can’t see us winning against Liverpool,Woolwich and probably lose to Everton at Goodison. Tamworth will be a walk over but that’s a non event.

If we lost those two league games we are on the brink of the relegation places. Will Levy pull the trigger at this point??

Will the transfer window tell us if he’s keeping Ange??

I have lost all faith and enthusiasm for it just now. To be going into a semi final at home and having no excitement for it tells me it’s as bad as it’s been for decades. We need to be going into the second leg at least 2 up to have any chance of getting to the final. I’ll still be there and come kick off I’ll get up for it but it’s a sad state of affairs.

61k people turned up on Saturday. Yet we all know there were thousands of tickets on Friday. They didn't get bought, they were season tickets that didn't get sold so we had to go.

You still went though as you’re a true supporter.

Seeing people on here saying they want us to lose and won’t watch another game. Fair weather internet fans.

That’s the world we live in.

Also as a STH holder, my observation is that since the Liverpool game that Ange Postecoglou chant has vanished. Gone.

The band at the bar in the West tried to start it up pregame on Saturday and nobody really joined in.

I'm not saying the match day fans are all Ange Out but there's a definite shift in attitude. It's gone from fully behind him to a bit "meh".

That's a bit of hope. Ange has been given so much support but when you keep benching your top scorer and play weak player like BJ every game, eventually you will be found out.

His poor judgement for signing BJ can't be covered up no matter how hard he tried. He can try to pad his record but when BJ can't put easy chances away, it doesn't work.

BJ will be his downfall but deservedly so. If you think a player without even basic technical ability will put you in the top 4, you're absolutely clueless. This is not Scotland or Australia. This is an elite competition and Ange clearly isn't ready for it.

Also, he can't spot a talent standing right in front of him. Spence wasn't even included for Europe and wasn't used even as a sub for injury prevention of other players. He was deemed useless by Ange. I think an elite manager would have spotted the talent in that player quite early.

But I guess Levy was absolutely sick of "world class managers" demanding good players to strengthen the squad. He was going to show them that a random guy from the Scottish league could do the same job as Conte. For once, he was also prepared to back the manager financially. Must be hard for him to admit that he was wrong, wasted two years and 50M on BJ.
Would've been much cheaper to just listen to Conte and give him the backing he asked for.

Do you really blame Austin for the loss? Or any of the defenders in particular?
He may be the third keeper but he did fine regardless. That is quite a deep squad.

And you know who is Ange's marquee player? It's BJ. Ange thinks that BJ is a huge talent. That is why he wanted him even for 50M.

Now BJ wasn't injured. But BJ got our biggest chance from a few yards out. As you saw, he mishit the shot so badly it ended up going parallel with the goal. And it wasn't a volley, it was a ball on the ground perfectly on his stronger foot.

So Ange's absolutely first choice is what cost us that game. That has 0 to do with injuries. If you get your biggest career signing so wrong, you're simply not elite. The kid doesn't even posses the most basic technical skills required. Speed may be useful to some extent. I guess there's some difference competing in Scotland and England. He was never an elite manager. He's a charlatan who's blaming injuries even though his star player and golden boy has been essentially injury free all this time.
My post was addressing a claim that we're not in an injury crisis, and that anyone who says we are is delusional.

Austin was good.

Johnson was poor. But to say that his miss cost us the game is an oversimplification. With our best back 3 we likely don't concede two, would have had more possession, and would have created more chances. And if Odobert wasn't injured then he probably starts instead of Johnson by now.

Any fan who wants us to lose just need to fuck off. We might not want the guy who’s in charge but you should always want to win every game no matter what’s going on.
The atmosphere in the stadium has changed a bit in the last couple of games but it’s certainly not toxic. The boos from Bergvall going off were loudest it’s been.

what about re/signing Werner twice on hefty wages - only to publicly rebuke him

Injuries is such a get out really.

Brighton - Vicario, Van Der Ven, Romero all played.
Palace - Vicario, Van Der Ven, Romero all played.
Ipswich - Vicario and Romero played

Last 3rd of last season they all played.

The trajectory was heading this way regardless of injuries. The rot had set in. Players get injured at every club and the usual thing is to adapt if their replacements arent similar but we plow on with the same format regardless. You would have thought going to Brighton last Xmas and playing a high line with Davies and Emerson Royal and getting walloped then lessons might have been learnt but apparently not.

Vicario, Porro, Dragusin, Romero, Udogie
1 of the back 5 missing. Still conceded 2.

All 5 of our first choice back 5 started. Conceded 4. And they were missing a load of their starting 11 that game, whereas we were only really missing Richarlison.

Our problems are nowhere near as injury related as people make out, because we're shit with a mostly fit team as well.

Conte sent Spence out on loan. Arguably the most “elite” coach we have had this century
Leeds shipped him out after just 1/2 season there. Didn’t want him.
And Genoa couldn’t find £9m to buy him after they had him on loan. .

Not just Ange who overlooked him.

It sounds like Spence has grown up a bit this season and is working hard in training every day. And didn’t before.

Now he’s got a chance to prove how good he is. Let’s hope he takes it.

Yeah and we were shit in those matches and it was right to criticise the manager because we should have won them however let's not get away from the fact that the very same players we're missing out wouldn't have helped us through this period, unless you think we'd languishing in 12th with 10 losses with our strongest side because no-one believes that and even the ardent Ange hater deep down doesn't believe it either - There is literal factual evidence that we win more with our two starting CB's.

Thankfully the club don't believe it to hence why he's getting a stay of execution and rightly so, would be just utterley stupid to sack him now because he doesn't have his key players available and he's not been able to rest and rotate.

Always backing Ange, he is a proven winner, we have forgotten how to win so he will remind us again what it is like to win trophies! Have faith in the man.

You doubled down on your financial loss though! Train ticket. Station parking. Bit of food / drink. The loss of family time you will never get back.

You did all that for Spurs. And Ange!!

Not all heroes wear capes!!

We were 9th or 10th before a single injury and had been rubbish for a long while running back to the end of last season when we had our players back.

Club are sticking by him because of lack of alternative options. They will assess in the summer. If someone decent is available/we can tempt Iraola, Ange is toast. You don’t survive a mid table finish.
