Our wagebill is currently closer to 45% of revenue, so not sure what you’re on about.

We all want us to be competing at the top of the table but we’ve made a conscious decision as a club to focus on young players and it can take time to bring them together.
And there's a lot of people unhappy about that.

Including me.

You seem to be ok with it, and that's fair enough if that's true.

I am Ange out but if he wins us a trophy I will love winning the trophy. Now concentrate on getting us as much Tin as possible and maybe you will keep his job. If he can somehow win us the Europa League he will be up there with Berkinshaw and Sir Bill Nich. The league has been a disaster this season but can be offset.
Well he's giving us Ramos level league results, so he might as well go full Ramos and win us a cartoon cup before getting sacked.

We did not fluke it tonight.
Bissouma is the key guy for the rest of our season if Bentancur is out long term.
He was excellent tonight.
If Biss can keep consistent and Bergvall can manage 90 minutes then our season is still alive.
We've been running this line out since he arrived. If there was ever a time to stand up as a senior player...

Such a shame we can't see Gray in a more natural role to cover that inconsistency.

LOL
Good energy Ange fans. As expected, flooding the board after another poorly-managed game saved by a few bright individual moments.

One thing though ... Keep that energy after the second leg please. Don't hide or go sit in a dark corner. Come here and gloat as you are doing now.
Yikes. Some dark monsters lurk in these forums. This is horrific to see after a big win. You can't work with this at all. There is no saving these people

Yep. They’re hilarious. Like locusts.

This is just another false dawn which keeps him in a job longer. We don’t go to Anfield and protect this. We don’t use this to get a result in the league in a few days.

One win in how many? And you’d think he had achieved something miraculous. They’re honestly pathetic. Did the same cringe shit every time he’s picked up a random win this season. You’d think they’d wait for a couple of results in a row.

FFS How dare Tottenham win to make me look stupid

Sad Baby GIF

Stay on that side yeah 👍🏾

Can't be having cockroaches you like polluting the thread with your shite, cheers.

I’m not okay with it, but I assume one of the reasons Levy has done it is to reduce the reliance on CL revenue whilst this side matures.
The reason Levy has done it is because we lost £61M in 21-22, £80M+ in 22-23, will post a loss over £120M in all likelihood in the 23-24 accounts, may be back down to -£80M in 24-25, and if we don't win the EL this season our losses with no European income will exceed -£120M again in 25-26.

The costs of letting Ange "figure it out" is going to be that we have little to no money to spend in the market. We had a big PSR ceiling that's rapidly evaporating.

Wow not you too!! So you genuinely came on here raging after we beat Liverpool?

I remember you giving out about us prioritising the United cup game before Liverpool in the league too because you had a dislike for Liverpool. So we beat them with a 21 year old GK making his debut, an 18 year old playing centre back and another 18 year old scoring the winner. And this is how you react?

Come on man. This is not right. This is a sickness

Oh for fucks sake they're at it again some of them.

Yes. Great win. Great credit to the team and tonight, that very much includes the manager. Let's hope this is the start of a turn around.. It would be fantastic if over a lengthy period of time, I and others are proven to be proven wrong.

But whatever praise the manager deserves tonight. That does not make the criticism that has gone his way this season and the end of last any less valid. You cannot keep wiping the slate clean after every odd good result.. Otherwise, what are we as a football club? Are we one thats happy to have a little jolly every few weeks? Or do we expect to be a serious and consistent team?

Just be happy and relax man, jeez

I really think some of you think people give a damn about your opinions on here, you're so quick to rush onto the forum declaring people not to get ahead of themselves and to proceed with caution all because you don't want to be wrong, just fucking enjoy the win man.

The thing I've noticed about the Ange haters tonight is they've been crying out for us to be less 'naive' and 'manage games more'.

Yet while we were doing that in the first half, generally they were the ones crying that 'we're playing shit'.

Surely to goodness these are not people who will just complain regardless?!

:ange-hmm:

No chaos ball, almost a bit dull at times. Marvelous.

Funnily enough much more enjoyable than losing 4-3 or 6-3. If he cant learn from this then there truly is no hope for him.

Totally agree, we need more games like tonight, with periods where nothing happens. Better for my blood pressure for a start. And more sustainable across 90 minutes and the season as a whole.
