Absolutely. But Ange was open about his preference for Solanke as a signing over all other options. SO we can, at least, "hang that one around his neck" with some confidence

He has done well on back post goals. His all round game however has cost us games. Lack of effort, being timid, not tracking, defensive work. Its swings and roundabouts and depends what your looking for but not for me

Yea- I dunno, I personally don't have much trouble believing that Spurs didn't try as hard as they could for somebody better or somebody else. In such an expansive talent pool you'd really there had to be some other option that would have suited us better. Mbeumo for example, though I'm not really sure what he was doing three seasons ago either. If I was a professional scout or head of recruitment I sure as fuck would know these things though, and you'd expect our guys too as well.
I don't really agree with the way we implement a lot of the supposedly obvious strategies that would suit a club in our position, but to be fair we aren't the worst at it either- just not great. It's frustrating but that's just kind of how it is.
