I think we'd lose less often. I think he'd rotate better. I think he'd play players in their best position.

Today for instance was crying out for Reguilon at LB, Spence at RB and Porro given a break.
But noooo, let's keep running Porro until he breaks and then lets play a promising looking Spence out of position.
I can't help but feel even Mason could figure that out.
Maybe Mason will give Son a few weeks off too
Yeah I agree about resting Porro today , only thing with Mason is I don’t think he would be able to drop Sonny

Just had a text from Levy , Ange has the full backing of the board still , things might change once the transfer window closes , apparently he doesn’t want the new manager to be requesting any new signings until the summer

If anybody harbours some genuine doubts about how much of his general stubbornness can be attributed to unwillingness, instead of simple inability, then this match was a good evidence for the latter. Like some limited players we have, he’s just a limited manager who is trying to play to his supposed strengths. When he actually tries to do something different, he looks even worse than he'd have looked had he stuck with his usual approach. This was the most disorganized and chaotic 3 at the back I’ve ever seen, it’s clear he has never put much thought into it. Who asks his RCB to constantly push to midfield and leave an entire side of the pitch wide open? What was he thinking?

No, he’s not trying to establish strong foundations that he or his successor will build upon. He doesn’t have anything else up his sleeve. He just has a bunch of intuitively appealing but very surface level ideals about the game, nothing more. He might have been fine as an eccentric assistant under a proper manager, but that’d be his ceiling at this level.
Been saying this over a year. He isnt very clever the system is frankly junk and he is 60 years old this is all there is. Blokes drowning and fools are waving at him.

The way he used the back 3 in the first half was the most insane, amateur shit I’ve ever seen at this level. Having Archie as the RCB but still telling him to go charging 40 yards up the pitch while Porro goes even higher, I’ve never seen anything that stupid from a professional manager. We basically vacated the entire right side of the pitch for 45 minutes.

Shows that Ange is totally out of his depth and very immature as a manager despite his age. Tried to be clever but just made himself look completely stupid. Watching that shite was genuinely frightening, that he thought it could possibly be effective is terrifying. He may be the only manager in the world who doesn’t mind having 30 yard gaps between the lines of his team. Everyone knows that to defend you need to be compact, whether you are playing high or low doesn’t matter.

this is levy's most embarrassing moment since hes been here. not only should he of never been hired but hes still here after over a year of shite!!! this is a new low even for levy and completely exposes him as not having a clue about football.
He’s left it to others (Lange and Munn) but it’s like when I leave the tidying to the kids…sometimes you have to deal with it yourself.

Poor today from the manager and to be quite frank I'm getting sick of the set ups and lack of results.

I could handle it if we were sitting in mid table whilst being on a decent cup run which at one point it was looking like that could have happened but we are in free fall. You cannot be turning up to EVERTON and letting them be 3 goals up at half time. Really embarrassing on more levels than one.

That back 3 was chaotic, I reckon they trained that for about 15mins in the warm up and then thought it would work in match.

I've defended Ange to the hill and do like his approach, general demeanour however this is very poor and sadly I don't think he will turn it around. The players in that first half looked like they couldn't care less, it was only the 2nd where their professional pride comes into it where they made more of a game of it.
