This is just bordering on negligence now by Levy tbh. Clearly doesn't want to get the chequebook out in Jan so we very likely will hang on to Postecoglou until the league cup semi then he'll sack him when we lose and put out some bullshit statement about learning lessons from letting go of Mourinho in the late stages of a cup, when actually it just conveniently lines up with the window shutting and him not needing to back Postecoglou as clearly his time was up anyway and also not needing to spend anything for the new manager until summer. There's no other explanation why we are putting up with these insipid performances and shit results.

I said it earlier, but everyone’s got a breaking point

Some people get to it quicker than others
Yep!

Mine was yesterday after witnessing the car crash first half and still playing the suicide high line with two slow centre backs.

I was desperately clinging to the hope that something might suddenly click and we’d put a run of City and Villa style performances together.

I think the majority of ‘Ange in’ don’t/didn’t think he was the footballing god to bring us success, we were just hoping to avoid another manager search clusterfuck we’ve witnessed too often before!

Get him gone now!

Mid-morning on Monday after yet another disastrous performance...still not been sacked.

How the fuck is Levy still in the job? (rhetorical question)

Joke club.

If anyone thinks we are getting anything out of that game they are deluded, ,and I include Levy and the board in that.

Liverpool will rip us a new one. We never get anything at anfield even when we had a great team. Now we are rancid, they are the league leaders, and we struggled to beat Tamworth and Everton battered us.

We are getting stuffed up there. So if they are willing to jeopardise further dismal league results, on the slight chance we win or draw at Anfield and get through to a final, they are idiots. We would actually have more chance up there if we sacked Ange.
A final against Woolwich or Newcastle, which we would inevitably lose, either giving a trophy to our most hated rivals, or a first pot to the latest oil money sports washers...

I'd rather just lose at Anfield thanks.

Yep, we have almost no chance of winning a cup under Ange, we are far too shit. Newcastle will demolish us, Woolwich it doesn't need thinking about.

Unfortunately the Spurs board is made up of people with no clue on football, which is why Ange isn't getting sacked.

I’ll be interested to see what the stadium is like for the Leicester game if he’s still here.

We win that game, I’m willing to bet we still hear that Ange song. Which is admittedly mind-blowing and an interesting study into human psychology. Even Poch got less patience than this.
I think the fanbase was far more divided when Poch left. Personally I didn't want Mourinho at the time, I didn't see it going well without heavy investment in playing staff which hadn't really been our modus operandi. Not to mention it was fucking bewildering to me that we weren't even that poor when he was sacked, we were mid table and we had just gone about essentially trying to rebuild the midfield. How do you finally give a manager some signings after 18 months of fuck all and then sack him before the new year?
I think to be honest most people that are still lingering on "Ange in" are not really still Ange in because of Ange, it's more because of a perception that the problems go beyond the manager to the board (although Levy being a cunt is something I think is widely agreed upon across the divide) and possibly the fear that we would see another 4 months of Mason or even fuck up his replacement even more. You don't really see anyone claiming "it's all gonna come good" at this point. We've been so shit for so long it's really hard to remember what a fully functional Ange team looks like.

I never wanted Jose either. The way Poch was treated is probably contributing to the patience I still have for Ange.

I am still saying I can see this season having a successful conclusion if Ange stays but I do think we need to nail some transfers that enable us to handle EL, that Liverpool game and that Villa game directly after it

If Postecoglou is given 3 players he will keep us up. Probably will regardless.

Levy might simply feel he needs to wait until he can get the manager he wants.

Relegation, whilst possible is as likely as City overhauling Liverpool. It could happen but it's still very unlikely.

Oh I agree, don't get me wrong. All I'm saying is it looks amazing what Bournemouth are doing because it's at Bournemouth. Whether he'd be able to transition that to Tottenham is something that we'd have to wait and see.

We have a very temperamental fan base, where as soon as it gets rough they want to pull the trigger. It happened with Poch after 5 great years.. Now we're 3-4 managers on with a worse team. Nothing is being fixed instantly. We're nowhere near that team Poch had.. Both in ability and stability.
I'd say it looks amazing because he's done with a tiny club full of players nobody has heard of.
Imagine what he could do with the likes of Romero, VdV, Porro, Bissouma, Bergvall, Sarr, Kulu, Solanke, Madison, etc etc etc.

It's time people (not aimed at you) woke up yo the fact this idiot coach has made them progressively worse bar maybe Kulu.
Most of the best performances are coming from those who have played under him the least.

If we wait till after the villa and Liverpool game and go out then we will be far less attractive. Flip side is if Ange stays and we get through those with the injuries clearing up we are in a completely different place or do we change just now while we have so much to play for which some managers will see as chance to win something straight away and become a legend here and a chance to build something going forward.

It just doesn't feel realistic under this manager. We have 24 games of evidence to the contrary. He cannot manage to the strengths of the squad, he is pulling us into a relegation battle. We need to make a change sooner than later, it's beginning to feel like even Ryan Mason might do a better job to season end, if I recall his style was much more closely modelled on Poch than Ange.

The good vibes on here will be unbelievable when we trounce Leicester, Ange will be serenaded in the stadium and we'll be well clear of the relegation spots giving us vital momentum heading into the 2nd leg against Liverpool where we'll inevitably be crushed like a paper cup.

I’m likely wrong but I can see us buying two players reasonably quickly now, and sticking with Ange until the summer for a few reasons.

  1. Unlikely to be relegated regardless
  2. Unlikely to do anything in the league now, just too late
  3. No managers available now, Mason really isn’t an improvement
  4. Sticking with ange and buying two players shows we tried to back our manager, which makes us a little more appealing for the next mug
Or he’ll just get sacked this morning
