Right now he's got us on the brink of relegation, 12 defeats already and still 16 games left. Humiliated by Coventry...and Tamworth. Could've lost to Ferencvaros, Qarabag and AZ. Should've conceded about 12 to Galatasaray and Roma. Humbled by not just our cunty neighbours, but Brighton, Palace. Dropped points to powerhouses like Leicester, fucking Ipswich at home.

Everyone in the footy media, ex pros, fans of other teams...they all know he's a clown, that his system is jokes and that he's an arrogant, unbearable prick to boot. Not even limited to the UK, they think likewise in France, Germany, Italy...

But yeah we beat City and United a couple times, taking a 1-goal lead to Anfield. And he says mate a lot.

Yipee fucking doo.

My Your head coach.

You are now bringing up games we could've lost as humiliations? WTAF

Would you tolerate for a second anyone bringing up games we could've won as something to be proud of?

What's in it for us, supporters? Fuck all, really.

What's in it for the owners? Billions of pounds.

To understand the attraction, you have to understand that billionaires finances are wholly different than ours. They don't collect paycheques/dividends. This is why few stocks these days pay dividends - dividends are coveted by average investors, but useless to billionaires they don't want income. They live on credit extended to them based on the value of their holdings. So when Spurs' values doubles, Lewis' values doubles and his access to capital greatly increases. That capital can be accessed to fund further investments. Money begets money.

What's in it for the club? A more competitive landscape. A closed structure Super League would enact salary controls - the billionaires don't want to frivolously waste money needlessly on players. They'd still pay the highest salaries in the world (like the NBA) so would get the best players - but collectively bargaining salary controls provides a fixed cost of labor that can be pegged to the fixed value of collectively bargained revenue (broadcasting, merchandising, etc.) And guarantees profits and growrh for owners.

In a fixed salary structure league, who "succeeds" and "fails" is about who is the best and most efficient at squad building. So, with out current setup, we'd probably not thrive, obviously. Liverpool, probably would. But the chances of us winning would be much higher in that league than in our current league, where we have to be exponentially more efficient because we have to overcome a base spending inequity. In a fixed salary Super League, we'd just have to be better at spending the same amount of money we're allowed to spend.

This is why the Knicks and Cowboys are not successful, despite being the vastly most valuable teams in their sports - they're shit at building teams.
Yea, so your excuse is, we have a better chance at winning it with a league with all the top teams because of the system eh?

First of all, just like you said Knicks, Clippers, Browns, Kings etc have been horrible, I mean terrible, they never win anything. Yet, the owners pocket money like no tomorrow, just like the owners who wins titles. That is what Levy wants. Who cares if their team is worth alot.. Knicks, Cowboys and Clippers fans etc are fucking miserable!

What makes you confident that we will spend the money better with salary cap? If anything it will be worse with it with Levy on top. Seriously... we have trouble winning the league cup for crying out loud. We are considered one of the wealthiest in Europe and we can't win ANYTHING. You really think we have a chance in the super league?

Vicario

Porro——-Romero——-VVD——-Udogie
Spence———Dragusin——-????———Davies
Bentancur
———Bissouma——Maddison
Bergval———Grey———-Sarr
Kulu————-Solanke————Son
Johnson——-?????——-Oddbod
Werner
———???????——-Moore

Davies and Moore are one game back, but had been unavailable for weeks.I have never seen an injury list at Spurs like this in all my time, that I can remember. And this is a fucking meh team/squad to start with.

As I’ve said before, I’m ambivalent about Ange being sacked or not, don’t mind if he’s given to the end of the season, but if there’s someone good who’ll come in, don’t mind that either, but I really don’t know what people expect from a) this squad b) what’s left of this squad.

No matter who comes in.
What would have been your pre-season take on the players at Bournemouth then? They've got similar injuries yet perform better and always look like a well-coached team instead of a rabble...

You mistake my (in my opinion) realist view that this is the inevitable end state of professional football for support.

I don't want this, and said as much in my first post. But, like I said a couple posts back, the entire history of capitalist economics says that the rich get what they want. And I can't see football being somehow uniquely immune to these forces.

Once the capitalists got into the game, this is the way it was always going to go. No different than the Premier League breakaway a generation ago.

And when a couple of players come back from injuries and we still stink, the argument is going to shift to "Oh, they just came back and feel rusty, we need a couple of weeks for them to get up to speed.

And, what happens when the injured come back then we get others injured? What if we buy 3 big signings and 2 of them get injured? When is the manager going to "MANAGE" the team and deal with circumstances? Was he hired to only manager his starting 11?

Well, lets hope it does not happen. Germans already made it clear they are not interested. So we will see.

Caveat
I also don’t think Ange has played a bad hand well and most weeks he’s doing things that fuck me off. Which is why I’m ambivalent.
He’s played a bad hand terribly.

Yesterday was borderline trolling. Gray and Porro larking about beyond the halfway line for shits and giggles. And the second goal was disgusting - the absolute vacuum in the middle of the pitch as Sarr decided to just randomly press on his own.

It’s awful football and I’ve never known us to be this badly coached.

Well put

Our cup performances have been awful too. Ex Liverpool

Come on, look at the players those managers had at Chelsea, proven winners, culture of success, owners that bought their way to success

This club is not built to win anything, the current players have shown no sign of having the balls to win anything, just look at the forward players we have, probably the worst set of attackers we've had at the club since 1997...... yes the league form has been unacceptable but it will be a miracle if Ange manages to win a trophy with this lot. Doesn't make him elite but no need to disrespect what would be a big achievement at this moment in the clubs history.
I remember a game under George Graham where we started Andy Booth (on loan from Wednesday a division below us) and Dave McEwan (bought from Dulwich Hamlet who were non league). Hard to find worse than that unless you recall FA Cup 3rd round at OT where we started Rory Allen and Neal Fenn... and let's not forget Gregor Raziak. To be fair, this forward line is no where near the worst we've had!!!

Ah yeah cause squeezing past true European giants like them 3, needing ET to knock out a non-league team and Djed saving Ange's ass in the dying moments vs a poor Champo team...they're all great results cause we won. Gotcha.

Would you tolerate for a second anyone bringing up games we could've won as something to be proud of?
Many times I've said we shoulda won vs Leicester or Newcastle this season...and West Ham, Villa (home) or Wolves last year.

I mean, YOU trying to mug me off about my posts? Really? The guy who openly admits he's checked out, doesn't watch games and who gets all excited about players he knows nothing about except watching their YT highlights. You wanna make it personal and go for cheap shots...fine, let's have it. You been acting a right baby for weeks on here, brother. You used to be a good poster and one I liked interacting with, though I often disagreed with your takes. When you took a break from TFC, that's why I even DM'd you to make sure you was okay and to say you'd been missed. Now you're just embarrassing yourself post after post. Holla back at me when you're ready to act grown up again cause I ain't that sweet on chatting Spurs with a 12yo with mirror mirror type comebacks.
