Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

i'd say we are in a full blown self made crisis and it's time to rotate in some academy players especially for a meaningless europa match--and yes it's meaningless as we aren't winning a fucking european cup while deep in the worst season in 50 years with a bare bones squad.
We are all but assured a play off match anyway. We should be sensible and allow the main fit players to recover. Leicester is right now the most important game of the season.

A fraud. He needs to take the next tram out of town.
Scott left before we signed Odobert.

“Ange’s recent comments following Spurs’ game against Chelsea shed light on their injury problems. He openly admitted that some of their issues stem from the way he trains players. He specifically mentioned muscle strains and tears as a direct result of his methods, which reflects his uncompromising philosophy. He has essentially acknowledged that their injury crisis is partly his fault, but he has no intention of altering his training regime, just as he refuses to change his tactical approach.

Ange is right to say that training must mirror how he wants his team to play. He has the mandate to run things his way, and his methods have brought him success. However, at Spurs, it seems a bit reckless given their lack of squad depth. Even at Celtic during his second season—despite some missteps in recruitment under Mark Lawwell—we had enough depth to see us through. Still, there were times when the sheer number of injuries pushed us close to disaster.

Last season, I think some of our injuries were down to the transition between Ange’s training methods and Brendan’s. The players had to recondition themselves, and that had predictable effects. But now that Brendan has fully implemented his approach and the players are properly adapted, the difference has been remarkable. Between his methods and our squad rotation, this team is fitter than it’s been in years.”

You don't think it's entirely plausible that Ange will have fallen out with the medical team, considering the overwhelming evidence of injuries and our assumptions (and the reports) of previous issues?
Entirely plausible.

Just think the vast support on here for Geoff fucking Scott to be slightly over the top. Particularly when him and his team have been regarded as useless fuckwits for years.

“Asked if he would temper the training and playing style to protect his players from injury, he added: “No, it’s not possible. It’s a by-product of the team we want to be and it’s part of the process.

"I’ve been through it a number of times with teams I’ve taken over and the initial process is always difficult.”

It's starting, isn't it?
People behind the scenes making comments.

Good.

None of us know exactly what went on between the medical department and Ange. We are only guessing or else using whichever narrative suits your agenda. I'm sure Ange has made some mistakes (VDV an obvious one) but I'm sure the medical department are an absolute joke too and underperforming.

I see nothing wrong with the overhaul of our medical department regardless of what happens to Ange.

I have a feeling Levy has Terzic or someone else already lined up for the summer.
He can also then say he has given the manager every chance to succeed (when in reality of course he hasn't as usual ) and the fans who don't want the merry go round to continue as it has might be appeased and think hes on our side.

He may have his hand forced if we don't win our next 2 games mind you. The only window for a sacking now to make any difference to our season is probably this Sunday should we fail to beat Leicester. After that we are flat out til the Villa game and the season will be over by then anyway.

I think Levy is too thick on football matters to see what is a genuine threat of relegation. I could see him leaving it too late because he's well into the AngeLOSS cult.

“Although the club insists that Scott’s departure did not involve Ange Postecoglou, sources with knowledge of the situation, who asked to remain anonymous to protect relationships, say that the pair fell out over how to manage the first-team squad’s workload and the recovery of injured players.”

I reckon more of this will follow. I reckon people will still defend him.

Santini?

Levy may be betting on us still being in the PL at the end of the season. I can't see where we're going to get 16 pts to get us to 40pts. If we stay up in those circs it's because there are some teams that are sooooo bad that we aren't in the bottom 3.

As ever, Levy ready to sack off a season and cups to make his life easier.

Levy should sack himself for not seeing this coming. Most of us idiots on 5 figures a year could see it coming. This prat pays himself what, £7m a year?

We can give him a squad of 100 players. He will still get 91 injured

Incredible how so many can't see it. This "when we get everyone back" nonsense is bonkers. By the time the players who are injured are back, the current players will all be shattered and they'll drop like flies.

We don’t actually need 40 points, that’s a myth!!
A throwback to the good old days of 22 teams.
It’s funny how these things stick around in popular culture though.

I think this century only 1 team has needed more than 40 points to stay up!! That’s 25 years & 75 teams.

So Ipswich or Leicester would really have to go on some run to get to 40 points. If they get to 35 points they are giving themselves a chance.

Statistics and history tell you that it’s not going to happen!

Mid thirties is the new 40!!!

Plenty of people on here and twitter have said they would welcome spurs to be relegated over the past few years.
Well look where we are now! I hope they are happy!!!! I wonder what they are saying now. Tempting fate and all that.
