Still way better than the Leicester players.

That's fine, and if that's what's needed so be it.

But the reality is there will always be an under pressure manager to be a scapegoat when things aren't going well. That will ALWAYS be a potential focus and relief valve.

So please spare some patience for those of us more focused on the larger picture of one of the richest clubs on the planet, wringing more money out of its supporters than anyone else, while having no intent to ever compete for anything.

You can always make the dugout the story if you want to, which means always ignoring the real story.
They are both real stories - the dugout is just a tweet whereas the ownership is a novel

“Players are giving everything” is no hiding place. As it either means. They are giving everything but are not good enough or much worse they have set a culture that it’s alright to lose as long as you try. It’s not.

Imagine a winning club with that sort of attitude? Actually imagine a winning club where the under 23 squad are 50% first team starters.

Wankers from Levy downwards.
Neither is losing every game a way to guide them through this difficult time. I could fucking do that.
Get the team properly organised for a start. Ange doesn’t understand or respect the basics of football at the elite level.

He is getting away with murder because he can speak fluent English and can do the PR stuff. Imagine if he were Pepe Mel or Claude Puel or some other random European manager with a silly accent getting the same results. He’d be laughed at and would have got sacked months ago. He has no business working at this level but he talks a good game and doesn’t have a go at Levy so he gets to stay on the gravy train.
it's actually the most infuriating thing about the whole Ange situation how he is navigating his way through it by twisting reality. He says the exact things needed to hang on to his job, all the 'we're in great position to achieve something exceptional this year' (in the cups- so you can't sack me before I'm out of cups), 'the club is working hard', 'the players are back soon' (don't sack me before they are back) and the worst of all the 'helping players get through this tough period' (as to make it like the results are irrelevant and all it matters is poor things survive having to play fucking football games at all)

I'm sure I've seen this movie , Dead Man Walking .
This is more on Battlefield Earth’s level.

I think your inquisitor is on my block list. manmountainbutters made my mind up not bothering with the fake Ange in mob. But if anyone asks what will the next man do? The answer as you say is simple. COACH. Ange doesn’t meet this most basic requirement.
Some coach do take sessions directly but too a man those ones have an coaching team with a philosophy practice and personell bedded in and tested over multiple years.

The clues were everywhere for those who cared to look beyond the PR, turn up alone take whatever you find, remember the video of him yelling "Stop passing the ball fucking backwards "...I just cringed and wondered that's not it is it?...the tactical advice on game from our head coach. He isn't a very clever man, beyond the bluster he's remarkably fragile. But he has loads of personal charisma and it's got him by. But this is the EPL and he's horribly inadequate.

To be fair, our previous managers had a rather special goal machine that got them out of many a lousy situation. It would be disingenuous to suggest Ange wouldn't be in a better position if he had Kane. That man papered over chronic under investment in the playing side for far too many years. If Levy had realise how much so he would have asked for double.
Possiby but Ange has proved he's defensively and tactically inept and too bloody stubborn for his own good.

It's an important distinction to make ......many a manager has thrived because of Kane ....and Bale before him made a few managers look a lot better than they were.

Despite the common complaint that it is Romero and VdV's absences that broke the camel's back, it's actually the significant drop in goals, compared to how things usually are under Ange, that primarily caused this collapse. After that Soton win we scored;

-1 against Liverpool, from a giveaway in a very dangerous area, until the match was entirely out of reach (1-5, 72nd minute)
-Nil against Forest
-2 against Wolves, even though we didn't create much in that match either
-1 against Newcastle
-1 against Woolwich
-Nil against Everton until, again, the match was entirely out of reach (3-0, 77th minute)
-1 today

We weren't keeping clean sheets even with Romero and VdV, so unless you are willing to argue that these two would have increased our attacking output significantly in terms of chance creation and goals scored, then I don't think they would have been of much help.

Goals have dried up, it seems that simple to me. Whether that's a blip on the radar, or sign of an irreversible trend that'll continue as long as Ange stays, is up for debate. But either way, don't expect a sudden turnaround when the aforementioned two return.

Sorry....I can only see what is going on, on the pitch...and post my humble opinion...You clearly have other issues which I am assuming lies in an area you do not have any influence over.... I can only offer this...... get ELON MUSK to buy the club and no one will ever have to complain that Spurs are short changing the Team.

I’m ok with it. It’s a results business and he hasn’t got them yet. But what happens if he wins a couple of trophies, and steadies the ship somewhat to finish say top 8 in the league?

It would be fun though!

The first thing people do is flock on here to boast about how they were right all along and to blame their fellow fans for us being shit.

Fucking personality vacuums and this is the way they get their jollies. It’s really quite sad.

Just don’t understand why there’s a need to throw fellow fans under the bus at times like this. Place should be somewhere you can go to get a metaphorical arm round the shoulder from your brethren. But alas, no.
Postecoglou will prove to be a two edged sword for Levy. With his initial success he took pressure off Levy. Fans had a big personality as manager who believed in attacking football. So far, so good. But now that the system isn't working, fans who have fallen for Postecoglou can't accept that his brand of football is unsound. So, they are assuming Levy is to blame for not supporting him. So, Levy at the same time can't keep him on as manager and can't fire him. He's Schroedinger's manager.
