In Australia Postecoglou did media and some motivational speaking. He knows how to play to an audience. I believe he talked himself into a job he wasn't qualified for and now is being maintained in that job because of the fan base he cultivated. From a football standpoint, his system is a mess. The problem for Levy and the board is admitting (first off to themselves) they hired an unqualified manager. Their next problem is how to get rid of someone who has established a cult of personality with a significant portion of the fan base. We're stuck with this guy.
Ange would make the greatest car salesman out there. What will become a shame in the future will be once we are knocked out of the cups due to Ange's incompetence.
Unfortunately, I was bought into his antics, which explains how good of a communicator Ange truly is.
What's interesting is that though he's a fantastic communicator, his stubbornness in adapting, which I believe is due to what Ange himself perceives, as success in his career; whilst he was managing Australia and Celtic.

10th I reckon.

Great to see the unbiased BBC are running a poll on who's to blame for our struggles.

Ange
Levy
Ange and Levy
Player Injuries

Are the four choices.l - and of course the poll is open to everyone - so totally scientific......

FFS - the level of journalism at that "good old boys" BBC club is Talkshite levels of Shite.
Usual binary bollocks.
It's all of the 1st three.

Heard this morning - and apologies if it’s been mentioned on here already, but I can’t be arsed going through all the pages - that his payoff is significantly larger if he’s sacked whilst in a cup competition. Source works in football, but not for us, so not sure how good this info is.

And he didn’t just say “significantly”, he said “SIGNIFICANTLY’.
I put this jokingly a few days back that he would have insisted on this clause after seeing what happened to Jose, I'd be surprised though if we also didn't have a clause in any managers contract that says if we are sat 15th or lower in the league after Christmas that we can sack the manager and he forgoes a payout.
Surely something like this should be classed as gross dismissal, the trouble is Ange can't take all the blame, he has been hung out to dry by Levy.

He's a salesman for a miracle system that was going to revolutionize football. Spurs bought into it and are too embarrassed to own the mistake and fire him.

It shouldn't even get that far. Why does he "deserve" these cup games? The league is your bread and butter - the results have been beyond bad for months now. You have to play the same standard of team at the end of these competitions, and we've proven that we can't deal with ANY opposition. I don't understand how he's been given such a soft ride by a section of the fan base and leadership, I really don't.

Too late IMO.

Something like that would make sense. It is about money, has to be, or Levy would have got rid of him.

Poch used to struggle to make timely substitutions too but people forget about that.
No manager is perfect, playing a half fit Kane in the CL final was a big red cross however the common theme here is managers not getting backed properly , Poch signed off on some horrible players like Ndombele and GLC - I actually think had we had Patricia around when poch was here them 2 signings don't happen and we give him some young players like Gray and Bergvail , Udogie and Spence then its a different story.

Like fuck would Levy, regardless of all the shit you can justifiably throw at him, be bent over a barrel by the Celtic manager, who's cv prior to that includes the sodding Ramsay Street Kangaroos, Summer Bay U12 netball team, and fucking Wagamama's, and put that clause in his contract.

Even if you're dumb enough to believe that, you don't think that he'd put in something of his own to mitigate against an unqualified dumbfuck performing beyond abysmally???

🚨 The Cult of #Ange must be stopped now he is NOT the Messiah

⚠️ Spurs finished the game v Leicester with a lower XG than 38 year old Jamie Vardy

⚠️ Spurs still haven’t got as many points this season (and our next game is in February) as we had after 10 matches last season

⚠️ The defeat against Leicester was the first time since a loss to Notts County in 1912 that Spurs have lost at home to a side who had lost their previous seven league matches

⚠️ Tottenham have failed to win any of their last seven Premier League games (D1 L6), their longest winless run in the top-flight since a nine-match stint between May and October 2008

⚠️ Ange Is the first #Spurs boss since David Pleat in 2003-04 to lose four top-flight games in succession on two occasions.

⚠️ Tottenham conceded two goals in the opening five minutes of the second half in this match, the first time that Spurs have suffered that fate since November 1997 against Liverpool.

⚠️ PPG 1.04

⚠️ 8 wins in the last 10

⚠️ 1 point out of a possible 21

⚠️ 4 points from 36

⚠️ 8 points from the last 13 games

⚠️ 11 points from 45

⚠️ 30 points from 90

⚠️ Spurs 2nd bottom in the form table only above Southampton

⚠️ 85 days since we last one at home

⚠️ 12 weeks since we won at home

⚠️ 13 defeats in 23 games

⚠️ 9 wins in 10 months now

⚠️ Woolwich's last 100 games - 13 Losses
Spurs last 20 games - 13 Losses

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH #AngeOut before it’s to late
