Yeah I'm sure Tel would have been delighted to sign for such an average manager, of course.

We’re not going to be relegated now and it has been clear for a while now that he’s limping onto the end of the season. The issue now really has become is he moved on at the end of the season.
IMHO it will all be down to the form between now and the end of the season, especially with the return of players from injury.

Pretty obvious, but if we continue the poor form in the league with a stronger squad, then I think he’s gone. Sudden upturn in both performances and results and he likely stays.

If he stays, we won't win anything....when all is said said and done, even with good players, he's a championship manager at best...mid table team with him if not bottom half..plus he's already botched signings, BJ for instance so I'm not convinced by Tel yet...anyway his hamstrings will be shot in 3 months...

Credit where credit's due, IF O'Keefe is right (and it's a big 'if', I'm not convinced he's had the inside track on much since breaking the Vicario deal) then Ange's pull over the phone in convincing players to come has to be recognised. And I can see it, he's not my cup of tea but some people seem to wank themselves silly over his press conferences so I can see some players buying into it too. Maddison certainly did.

BUT, being a good manager is a lot more than convincing players to come over the phone. He also brought in Dragusin and Brennan so the jury on is player ID is very much out too.

As for Tel, time will tell, but I don't see quite where he fits right now. From what I've seen he's an inside left forward with similar attributes to Son, which is a role we don't really use. Plettenberg seems to think he's a 9 but that guys a muppet, and Tel doesn't strike me as having the back-to-goal qualities for CF, he seems to prefer playing facing the goal.

We'll see. It's a warm body at least.

Possibly, but we saw a change of tactics yeaterday which was my biggest concern.

Poor form continues and he gets the bullet and hopefully we can get in someone like Iraola. Turn it around and we start winning regularly, which is surely what all Spurs fans want. It’s a perverse win-win either way.

If we win a cup and can get back above 10th or so, I guess I would consider letting Ange continue. I just really don’t believe anyone can manage league form so badly for so long and come good. Really good managers find a way to keep things together. Everton and Leicester I thought were particularly embarrassing in that we couldn’t even draw with them.

Where is he btw? Been very quiet lately

There’s nothing more to say. You are wrong but I’m now content to just wait till the end of the season as it has become clear that recycling the same stuff weekly is pointless. No amount of individual results will make you back down from your positions. Total failure at the end of the season will.

You won’t see posts from me on the topic until he’s gone. Even if we lose both cup games coming up and he stays. Anything that can be said about him and his failures this season has been said.

Is it an English thing? To be so adversarial all the time? Because it’s quite boring to be honest.
Im trying to get better about understanding socialization in other cultures besides US/England so I can make better sense of it, but my general impression is that English culture is caustic and biting, very openly sarcastic- definitely full of qualities one is likely to see as ‘adversarial’. It’s not just you.
