One striking thing last night was the lack of communication and awareness on the pitch. Seeing 5 players go after one loose ball (so none of them available for the pass), watching Bentancur almost lose possession as a Liverpool player ran up behind him (is "man on" banned at top level?) and a massive lack of understanding where players need to be on the break.

It just looks like bad / undisciplined coaching.

The reality is that of the side that Ange fielded, only Kulusevski and Son are what you could consider elite Premier League talent. So you have two elite talents playing against 11 elite talents, and a further 7 or 8 elite talents on the bench. The difference in class is enormous and Spurs were never ever ever ever going to win this game with the players they had available. They were not even a chance. Obviously we all hoped for a miracle but from about the 5th minute it was obvious the difference in class was too enormous to sustain a 1 goal lead over 90 minutes at Anfield.

People need to get to grips with reality. Injuries have totally fucked Spurs right now, and until they get their elite Premier League talent back (VDV, Vicario, Romero, Maddison, Solanke) consistency, high ladder position and trophies is a bit too much for ask for.

Every time I've peeped at their Ange thread after another loss there's someone who's finally been pushed over the edge after giving Ange the fairest of cracks at this.

It's a fun game.

My only entertainment associated with this club, in fact.

Watching people finally accept it's a lost cause and call it exactly what it is.

I know what he meant, but still, he's stated numerous times he doesn't pay much attention to the opposition, preferring to focus solely on US...

I just think that reeks of bad planning, and as a result, poor tactical in-game management.

The two times he actually seems to have gone more defensive (ironically both on Merseyside) we've shipped 7 (SEVEN) goals!

Maybe there should only be a Plan A after all, as he was just proving it to the world!

Yeah, plenty of matches where we seem to set up to play to the oppositions strengths. That is just terrible management unless you've got a team full of global superstars.

I remember watching Gary Neville talk about how Fergie coached him and nothing was left to chance. He was told exactly what to do in each match to nullify his opponent and followed it to the letter.

You can make excuses about injuries and the quality of Liverpool but we still should have seen real belief and intensity last night. We sort of did when the game was 0-0 but as soon as Gakpo scored we lamely accepted our fate and gave up. That’s pathetic and that’s on Ange.

You’ve also once again got to question his technical decisions.

1. Poor squad management meaning he felt obliged to start Bergvall and Porro on the bench as they were tired.

2. Took far too long to get the subs on when the game was still in the balance.

3. Absolutely demented idea of moving Spence to RW and Archie to LB when chasing the game.

That’s before we even look at what we did with the ball. We need to stop this nonsense now and bring in an interim manager with experience at the top level. Ange is not the guy. We all know Levy is the main issue at the club but Ange is not divorced from that. Levy made a mistake hiring him and the mistake needs to be corrected.
 
People who say he’s good at dealing with the media are completely wrong. Yet again his press conference after the game last night was a disgrace. When posed with responding to Jamie redknapps comments after the game he says I DONT CARE. Shaking his head squirming his face like a petulant child.

The scary thing is that he genuinely means it. He doesn’t give a fuck because he knows himself he has no clue what to do. He’s an arrogant, obnoxious and very very unpleasant person who hates hearing the truth.

You seem to enjoy watching old farts like Virgil stupid hair Van Dijk and Hair transplant Mo Salah. I’m embarrassed that they can still stay fit and look so fresh in their mid 30s whilst our team and our club always has an excuse.

We joked about Redknapps tactics back in the day being 'just run abaat a bit' but this current Ange setup is the most 'just run about' system I've ever seen. Players ball chasing going from position to position, no structure or cohesion. It's schoolboy.

Thing is agricultural would mean tough, hard working etc. It was a fucking shitshow. Midfield up was dreadful. Surprisingly enough most of our senior players. Ange is shit and needs to go but the fact that our senior players couldnt self motivate to burst a gut in a cup semi is damning. Biss, benta, son, richie, kulu should hang their heads. Biss, benta should be gone in summer, son to the bench, kulu a boot up the hole

How are you giving the players a pass for last night?

The manager sent them out there with 3 non creative MF players so fuck him for not sending them out with a plan to carry any threat.

I don’t care if we have played twice a week for months, Salah and VVD are mid 30’s old farts and they can manage it. Fuck our players for not having the habits those guys have to stay fit and fuck our Sports Science department for not giving them what they need to stay fit and fresh.
