He gave us dignity in the league table, and champions league wins against top clubs like Inter Milan. Under him we saw the emergence of Bale and Modric who both went on to be generational talents.

Ange has done nothing like that so far.

I don't give a fuck about dignity in the league table. We had dignity in the league table last year. Dignity in the league table is a nice way of saying won nothing.

I thought we started alright yesterday but as usual we concede from a brainfart and then give away a pen that we would never be given ti us, I think Ages hands are tied a bit with the players fit and the amount of games we have and I'm sure he would do better with a bigger fit squad, however there is also a very high chance this is his limit and for that I'm willing to give someone else reigns next season.
I kinda feel , or hope even that where we are now is the lowest point, its only up from here , lets get a premier league proven manager and add a few experienced players into the mix and this team could mature into something special!

Yes.

Winning cups is important

But so is winning matches

The idea only trophies matter isn’t shared by 90% plus of football fans who watch teams that never win trophies

And that's the problem with football fans. We are all a bunch of simps who just accept watching the same shit teams win all the time and just keep pumping our money into football anyway.

It is about the journey also. To paraphrase the late Ange Postecoglou

If we are talking about your local club, or your non-league team, 100% agree with you it's about the people you experience the game with. Or even if this was the German Bundesliga where the fans own the clubs in many cases, but that's not what we are talking about here, we are talking about the PL where its a playground of corrupt billionaires, nation states and corporate money laundering out side doors into sports via hedge funds like clearlake capital or ENIC. We have no reason to accept being losers for any of them. If they want people's money, they need to win.

He didn't have us in a relegation scrap - getting beat by shit like Ipswich and Leicester at home. Ange is out of his depth, last night was the last straw and until he's replaced we will get the same shit
he also got us top 4 for the first time ever in PL with Modric with a broken leg. replaced with him a player bought for buttons.

Great eye for a player and a really quick idea of a crucial missing piece. For years we struggled with the likes of Jenas and Zokorra in MF. Really? H got Palacios in his first window and from that day we were top 4 form having been 2 from 8.

BNJ did well to get M Crrick from Spam, but really it only happened becuse he hijacked H's transfer to pompey. A year later he'd been sold to MU for 5 times+ the transfer fee.H was hppy to look like a mug but was anything but.

Totally. He said the run around a bit of a joke and its stuck with him. Can you imagine Postecoglou going to AC Milan and winning 1-0 before having a gritty 0-0 at home to get the champions league quarters? They are miles apart. Within the timeframe Postecoglou has had which is 19 months, Redknapp had taken us from bottom of the table to 4th playing proper entertaining football not this wishful thinking version.

If there is a comparison its Ossie Ardiles for the uncoached naivety or Tim Sherwood for the feeling of being out of his depth and treating it like schoolboy football. Even Sherwood won a lot of matches. I maintain that Postecoglou is as bad a manager as we've ever had.

Sherwood was playing a midfield of Paulinho and Nacer Chadli and he got better results than the current manager FFS.

Did he though? Within a couple of months of joining he had King, Woodgate, Dawson, Modric, Bale, Lennon, Defoe, Keane. I think any of those get into our team right now. Fuck I’d even take Palacios in our midfield. At least he put some tackles in.

Modric didn't even play CM until at least his second season. He didn't do a whole lot at LW. Lennon maybe. Defoe or Keane I would not take ahead of Solanke. Nor would I Woodgate or Dawson over any of our current CBs. King barely played so he's not a worthwhile comparison.

For the sake of THFC this project has to end today.

Not after Villa.

Not after United at home.

Today.

The defeats and the manner of them are getting worse.

The excuses about injuries and tiredness are lame.

There's losing and there's losing a semi final with no shots on target.

It's over.

It was over after Palace away.

It should never have got beyond Everton away.

The club is dying the death of a thousand cuts under Ange.

He isn't good enough.

We need to accept this as a fact and move on.

We all know who is really responsible and that is the issue for the future that now has to be resolved.

Agree with this, it was a perfect storm last night of everything against us.
-Away against the best team in the world right now who were fully fit and able to bring on macallister, diaz and jota, having also had an extra days rest over us
- our entire back 5 out injured, not able to play a 10, 2 wingers who are completely shattered and can barely run now, having to start 2 new players, losing our striker early and having to play our 3rd choice who has just joined the club. No options on the bench to change things, not able to start bergvall after what happened in the first leg. The players just absolutely shattered who can play.

But I do think Ange got it completely wrong personally, you cannot set up a team like that, with zero creativity in midfield, two players in biss and sarr who cannot play together and cannot pass round a press to spring a counter. (sarr turned and stopped every single time we broke). If you plan to defend you have to have pace on the counter, we set up with kulu trying to run in behind which is never going to work, richie did so well to hold up the ball and looked up and he had no runners and no 10 helping him. We also are a small team so also had no set piece threat, so he set up a team that had zero ability to score a goal meaning we were hoping to hold a 1-0 lead which is never going to happen with those in the back 5.

I think ange is the wrong man for the job and he bottled last night, but objectively speaking we were hamstrung from the start in that game. I am all in on Europa, its our best chance and I will judge Ange more fully when we actually have players back to be honest.

Biss needs selling as a priority.

But what is the alternative? Who will come in now? We need to plan for him to go in the summer when we can get in a Iraola or someone but there's no point in him going now.

I will always give Redknapp credit for this. He has the best eye for talent ever in the English game and had an unbelievable ability to man manage.

Will always respect Redknapp and have a soft spot for that team but he got his head turned by the England job and he should've got the England job.

Did I say something mean about your previous VDV and his lovely blue eyes?

Sorry if that offended you.

The whole squad and the manager, injured or available, fuck them all for that coward performance.

You seem to enjoy watching old farts like Virgil stupid hair Van Dijk and Hair transplant Mo Salah. I’m embarrassed that they can still stay fit and look so fresh in their mid 30s whilst our team and our club always has an excuse.
You made yourself look like an utter tit tbh. Like one of those cyber dweebs that rage quit when someone kills them on COD.

You specifically singled out VDV who returned early from an injury and played longer then the medical team permitted. The player who then came back to training later then Romero yet played before him. Romero has missed games and magically got fit for international duty many times over the years and now he has no return date despite training for weeks and cant even be bothered to come watch us play with his injured teammates.

With all that being said your hypocrotical self labelled VDV the pussy and youre now doubling down making sarcy comments about his eye colour.

Your manager who you placed all the faith in the world has failed you. Just accept you got it horribly wrong and move on ffs. We're all fallible, we get shit wrong.

The test will truly come when all these absentees come back….

Seemingly Johnson, odobert, Werner vicario and solanke were imminent..

So no more excuses big man… I’m sure we’ll now see the Brazil 1970s style we’re used to….

I said the same about Romero. That didn't bother you, no?
