Anyone else notice we seem to purposely attack along the touch line? This almost add another defender, in essence, and has a high probability of going nowhere. Yes, it does work, but not this squad.

Arteta has clearly been telling his players to sprint more. Obviously it's the sprints.

Fuck me lads, nobody has ever said you only ever get injuries if you're managed by Ange, only that our injury issues under him are extraordinary and possibly due to his methods.

Personally I don't really give a fuck if its his fault or not, only that we're totally shit at football and that should be what gets him sacked.

I think we expected something like this.

Those in RED are injured. Those in yellow have not been available for a lot of the season. I'm not sure which supercoach you expect to pull out victories playing 2 times a week with this availability.

VICARIO
forster

PORRO - ROMERO - VEN -UDOGIE
spence - dragusin - davies - Reggie
BISS - BENTENCAUR
Sarr
- Grey
JOHNSON - KULU - SON
Odobert - Madisoon - Werner

SOLANKE

Ange contributed to most of those injuries with this ridiculous Kamikaze system, whatever the fuck they do in training and lack of rotation - Udogie/Regulon, not using Spence until he had no choice. Hundreds of decent Managers would not end up with this debacle

Not possibly. Hilariously we have had all number of experts telling is it's 100% his training and when that was debunked because the schedule means they hardly train, the same expertise has now been leant to the field of sprinting and game management. Now our cutting edge experts tell us that our players sprint too much and should be giving less effort in games :harrylol:

Truly wonderful stuff.

Not fighting you on this. Last week was a joke.

he’s still here because levy found the perfect fall guy for this season. If another manager comes now and as bad results levy is the common factor, like this it’s just another bad manager. Levy will give him the season, then cuts him in may

Jesus Christ there’s some mental giants on here. Budding football managers. You’re wasting your talents here.
The youth were brought in with an eye to the future. It wasn’t known that a host of senior players would break down, and that the youth would play an extraordinarily number of minutes.

And in saying that, funny how our overworked youth haven’t broken down but the senior professionals have????? I said it earlier that I think a lot of the senior players need to take some responsibility for how they are handling their recovery in their own time.
nah its down to Ange, his coaches and the daft unworkable system

do you run? have you ever played sports? sprinting is more strenuous and unstable. you absolutely get injured more sprinting full out, especially when you're desperately chasing someone down.

Absolutely right. Usain Bolt was always pulling his hammy. Whereas marathon runners hardly put any load on their bodies. In fact, when they retire long distance runners are known to have no issues with their joints at all.

Ange had no option to rotate. But that's not even the conversation we are having. You were referencing sprints and talking about players not giving 100%.

They waste time so they can control the periods of intensity to their advantage. They are able to preserve energy in one place, so they can use it to be more intense in another. They aren't reducing load, they are controlling game states.
Atm what we have been trying to do is go against the grain and find a way to take them out of that control and comfort zone by getting the ball in play faster from goal kicks and not allowing them to control game states to their advantage. It hasn't worked. It's got fuck all to do with load or injuries.

There is always option to rotate. It is managers job to balance everything. When playing time gets absurd, you can pick lesser player in some moments to give superior player rest. But you obviously cannot grasp difference between short term success and long term success.

I don't fully get what you mean by 2nd chapter. I stated most basic of logics - if we restart game faster, there is less time to recover for players. You do follow that logic, right? And now if there is less time to recover, it means higher working load. And higher working load tires players. Still on board I hope? Now final step is - more tired the player is, more likely some injuries become. Also, conveniently we face the worst injury crises in the league. So the logic is there. Real world result is there. But I still hear that managers decisions have nothing to do with injuries.

Its funny to see how every single injury in other clubs are quickly used by you for making fun from people that have rightfully serious doubts in Ange management. Keep going, maybe some day it will prove your point :)

So far it only proves to me again that discussion with you re: injuries is completely pointless.

PS: dont forget to post again link to that article Ange and injuries from his Celtic days.

bolt is a sprinter. he doesn't change speeds or stop and start or do anything beyond run in a straight line. if he was a center back chasing down attackers 10 times a match he'd get injured. marathon runners similarly do one thing. i run and if i randomly sprint or attempt to run faster i'll get injured. sorry but you just don't know what you're talking about and you'll say anything to justify your failed position that ange is a football god.
