Whilst I can see what you’re trying to say, the biggest issue is that the idea of seeing it out means giving him another season or so (appreciate you said years end, so half of next season). All of the data and all of the stats show that we’ve gone backwards in a big way.
We haven’t won three league games in a row since December 2023, this season alone we’ve lost 13 out of 25. It’s twenty something losses out of the last fifty something (someone will put the actual numbers up I’m sure) but we’ve got to a point where we lose very nearly half of our games.
It’s also over a larger period than just the injury hit bits, so it isn’t solely down to injuries, and I actually think us being injury hit has given him longer than most managers because it’s been used as an excuse, when in reality it’s mitigation at best.
I do completely get what everyone says about the cycle and the endless churn of managers. I’d say 95% of people on here know the real issue, but it doesn’t mean it’s the only issue. Final league position will dictate if players leave this summer and we’ll see what the squad looks like for next season, but for me Ange has shown absolutely nothing that suggests he should get a single game of next season - he just isn’t good enough for this level. I’d worry about where he would have us half way through next season, because I suspect that within a few months of it we would have yet another injury crisis.
