Agree with tactics wrong but what is ridiculous amounts of sprinting? They are professional football players and supposedly athletes not lorry drivers sitting behind a wheel all day...if ridiculous amounts of sprinting was the cause then why is whole team not injured?...Ange worst manager in many years?...what is a good manager then as last won think 2008 or 09...so in my opinion everyone since no better than Ange as surely not now judging managers on league position?...should be on what win...
bugger off... this manager has us thinking about relegation, the football is chaotic and naive and since his 11th game its not worked, every one else has worked him out for the fraud he is. Being a Celtic fan (and the Scottish league being pretty shit bar Celtic) you know anyone can walk the Scotts league managing Celtic. Unfortunately, you cant do that here.

Out of interest, and before I consider replying to the second part of this post.

Did you support Spurs across those years? Or did you first find Spurs by being a fan of Ange and following his progress here?

**Edit - not to worry, just read back far enough to see your introductory post.

I find the ‘stay at home fans’ an insulting term. What about, ‘ can’t afford a season ticket fans’……’ live 200 miles away fans’…..’ can’t get a ticket because of tourists fans’…….’disabled fans’….
Stop using the term ‘stay at home fans’.
A good point well made , i didn’t mean it to read like that but it was a very ill thought out in terms of phrasing.

Thanks for pulling me up on it. I have no issue whatsoever pointing out my lack of thought in that post

Vdv will quell that problem so much but the problem is asking him to do that much all the time is clearly making his hamstrings a ticking time bomb. Then when he's out for another 8 weeks we can't cut out that ball again and the frequency returns. He keeps those chances down but not to zero as it's impossible with these tactics.
I don't think Spurs can find another vdv, but an obvious off season priority would be to find another "chaser" type center back for depth.

I'll be honest I'm a celtic fan but have always followed Spurs mainly due to family who are die hard Spurs fans but i also loved Hoddle, lineker and Gascoigne then he broke my heart and went to them...anyway point is and know not at games but Ange is a good manager...100% believe will be successful and bet on to win euro cup...:) his biggest fault is being too stubborn with system...if doesn't have players with injurys and still building squad then should change to suit...once he has full squad and players wants think and hope be champions within couple years...:)
sorry it simply doesn't work in the prem. it's too intense and fast top to bottom. i'm sure you guys love him and it was a great run but to come here and claim he's going to be a success after the disaster it's been thus far is just delusional and i'm sorry to use such a harsh word but for ffs he loses every other match. at some point you have to say i was wrong

Fans are now going to and watching games and expecting to lose . Jamie Carragher before the Brentford game expected us to let in a minimum of 3 goals and it’s a shock that we didn’t , Paul merson at half time against Chelsea when we were 2 -1 up , “I expect Chelsea to win comfortably “ We are underdogs at home against the bigger teams . This hasn’t been the case for many many years but that’s what this manager has done to us. I can’t wait for him to leave and start trying to be a serious club again , if that’s even possible .

you and everyone else who expects us to be right up there with Woolwich when/IF he's sacked are in for troubling time I can tell you that .
The reactions will by most intriguing when the new guy starts to seriously struggle

Snobby! I like that you know your betters!

Tally ho old chap!

Bournemouth away last 20 minutes this season we were all over place. Add to that the manager goes and argues with the fans. Amateurish. Never seen anything like that. Two bob manager.

Being “ all over the place “ is clearly Ange’s take on Rinus Michel’s concept of “ total football “ . Viz ; Ajax and Holland in the 70’s .

TBF to the big man it was , undeniably, successful in Scotland . It just hasn’t , as yet , been transferable to the EPL .

I wonder if that’s because the EPL isn’t quite ready for his “ visionary approach “ .

But then again, we’ve had a shit-ton of injuries etc .

Lol :) thats better...bit of humour instead of being mean :) have good time at the polo :)

Polo?? Running around on horses getting sweaty??
Not my game old boy.

Rather be on a yacht on Monaco with some fine filly’s given half the chance!!

Saying that something about a woman in jodhpurs does stir the loins doesn’t it!! Might join the polo club actually. Good call.

14 defeats in 27

This is the only response to these people

You’re all gonna be REAL disappointed and angry when we aren’t fighting for 2nd under a new manager!

Literally sat in 13th a point ahead of 16th lads. Nobody is going to be angry we aren’t 2nd. Just winning more than we lose will be a nice start - lots of work to do on that front still.

Guardiola asking Spence why he runs so much really opens a few cans of worms doesn’t it. I think it is quite the underhand comment belittling our tactics and also highlighting our injury issues. Let the ball do more of the work?

We run around a lot but he seems to think we don’t do it efficiently enough.

Liverpool expect to win the league. And a European trophy.
And when needed invest big and buy the players to do it.

We expect nothing.
It’s a culture.

A very very different mindset from the history of the clubs I guess.

They also buy big when needed.

Be interesting to see who they replace Salah with if he leaves. Wouldn’t be too surprised if they move on Nunez as well if they don’t think he can hit the standards they need.

Re : Who they get to replace Salah .

They’ll probably sign Dane Scarlett and get 30 goals a season from him for the next ten years.

It’s just how football works….if you follow our club .

You’re a Celtic fan, so you probably have seen this report (or something similar) when he was at your club

The excessive injuries are happening again at our club. Why can’t he change his training methods to reduce the number of injuries instead of blaming our losses / dropped points on the missing injured players.

The club are buying all this young talent, young and promising, and unfortunately have the wrong manager to make anything of it. The more he stays the bigger damage he is going to cause to these youngsters.
