This has to end now. I hate seeing people lose their jobs in any walk of life but this can’t go on. The tie is definitely in the balance and I still think we will go through but we shouldn’t be losing that game and definitely not in the manner we did!
The players are good enough but the system isn’t. That only falls on one guy. I think he’ll be here to the summer at the very least though so we could be in for a tough period supporting this club. We are used to it but this for me is the worst it’s been.

Never felt as numb as I do now supporting this club. I thought after Liverpool and Villa we had hit our lowest but last night was another level.
Always another low around the corner

Being 3-0 down against Everton at half time and losing at home to Leicester was truly the point it turned for me, we get glimpses of some good football but you cannot be losing to sides like that.

Last night was very very poor, the players looked like they didn't have a clue what they were supposed to be doing and that's after 8 days on a training pitch with players back!!

I'm pretty uncomfortable now with him defending the players, even when they go on mid-season snowboarding trips like Bissouma. Feels like the players have clocked that they still have the power and can take liberties with him because their performances have been so bad that he's toast if the club get half a sniff they have the excuse that he's lost them.

They clearly aren't going to step up for him now.

These unacceptable performances and results are becoming the norm. We've lost so many games that the team have clearly lost all confidence and will never play good again under Ange. He's 100% done.

I didn't think I'd be saying this but I'd be very open to the idea of sacking Ange now and letting Mason finish out the season.

Disagree. We are better than mid-table. As has been pointed out a thousand times on this forum, there are serious identifiable tactical weaknesses with this coach (sorry, he doesn't actually coach, which might just be another problem).

We are a decent squad that should be well in with a good chance of winning the EL. We should have won last night by two or three goals against a poor but well organised team.

Our starting 11 are all internationals which says something. It doesn't say they should be top 4 or 5, but it absolutely does say we should be putting away AZ, Tamworth, Rangers, Leicester, etc etc

Ange does not have experience at the top level. And strip out Celtic and his win ratio is actually not very good at all.

we'll see next season under a new coach, but i question whether the likes of Bentancur, bissouma, Porro, Udogie, johnson, son, and a bunch of under 21 players are really gonna get you very far

Bournemouth are going to low block and counter us at the weekend and they'll pick us apart. It's become way to predictable.

We will have all the ball but a front 3 of Son, Tel and Brennan who just stand still and offer no threat. Bournemouth will wait for our 2 full backs to get way too high up the pitch. Then bang they'll press us, turn us over and quickly have a 3v3 or 3v2 with oceans of space! Rinse repeat. Ange can't see it. Our football style is all risk and no reward! He's been found out and needs to just be sacked

The crazy thing is he does seem to have the board’s support but if we don’t get through next week then that might just be the tipping point. Our whole season could be finished by the 13th March. That’s unacceptable

Copy and paste this and send this to MOTD because this is exactly how Sunday will go.

This post got you off my ignore list.

I think last night was up there with one of the worst performances I've seen.
Palace, Ipswich, Galatasary, Villa, Leicester, Liverpool and now this. Gutless, clueless, pointless.

Les Ferdinand summed it up beautifully after the game. "He said he's happy to have them all back and working on the training ground. I dunno what they're working on"

There is no board, only Levy the emperor. Even if there are, every single one of them is so blind with money only like Levy. Hope they ALL fuck off and let the Qataris move in.

Oi. Leave Matthew alone!!

This is the mutual type of loving that we need in this place!! Less ignoring and more pleasure from each other!!

Nah, Matt gets no special pass from me. The kind of guy who blocks anyone who disagrees with anything he says. I'm afraid I had to call him out.

And I will continue to do so until he changes his ways.

That said - back on topic: ANGE OUT!

:avbfu:

Posted about this in the Ligue 1 thread and could be a way to solve the Ange problem.

Fonseca just banned for nine months for an ‘attempted headbutt’ on a referee. He’s only recently joined Lyon and it was his fifth game in charge. Banned from the touchline and changing rooms until November. Wonder if they’ll get rid of him.

But, maybe we could send Ange there. Ange never does any training or coaching so that could be left to Fonseca. Then Ange could do his “motivational speaking’ (lol) to the players in the dressing room and stand with his hands in his pockets on the touchline during games.

Surely a win win for us and Lyon. Make it happen Daniel.

I'd be more inclined to hope that Ange nuts an official this weekend and gets himself a ban...

Surely we'd sack him then, right???

Lyon are actually backing Fonseca and have appealed the verdict.

The ban is also only applicable for Ligue 1/French football. So Fonseca was on the touchline last night when Lyon won 3-1 out in Europe.

Put any group of top level footballers together, with no coaching at all, and they'll give you some glimpses of good football.

The Manager and coaching team are there to shape these players into a team that produces this consistently, by coaching them to build on their strengths and improve on their weaknesses, and putting them in a system that plays to the strengths and minimises the weaknesses.

The only thing we are consistently is poor, and the system pays no mind to the fact that our first choice wingers have no guile and cannot succeed in tight spaces, in fact it actively hinders them.
