If Ange stays, we will be title challengers next year. A decent pre season camp and a couple of experienced squad additions and the system will click into place.

- Without Salah, Trent and VVD, this is Liverpools last season up top.
- City about to embark on an entire squad rebuild.
- Newcastle will ditch Howe and go for Mourinho to take them to the next level.
- Woolwich's fan have had enough of cry baby, and he may get pushed out.

None of those teams will be in the championship though.

Maybe if those "couple of squad additions" are Jude Bellingham and Vini Jr and the clubs mentioned actually folded up in the summer, he might nick 4th off Bournemouth behind Chavs, Forest and Brighton.

That’s exactly what I mean though. Not conte but the others were flexible tacticians not wedded to a single way of playing and give their players a lot of tactical flexibility to go their thing. It’s what we need, they’re the only kind of manager that will work under levy because of the constraints he puts on a manager financially
I was only talking about results and league position, not about philosophy

This guy is spot on , it's been a cycle for the whole Levy era .
You can see the players playing for us that are real winners , they end up moving to a team who wants to win .

Been saying it for ages , it’s the whole clubs mentality. The majority of players at Spurs accept it and put their comfy shoes on , the odd few that retain that real fight & desire jump ship , even one of our loyalist players of all time saw that he had to leave

Like Kane, Modric and bale.

Kane stayed with us for years and underperformed in numerous important cup games.

This idea that we haven't had opportunities to win things and it is the mentality of the 'club' that we didn't is laughable and projection of the highest order.

We were in a CL final - the board, the chairman - none of them had any impact on the desire to win that game - that was on the manager and the players.

We seemingly cared enough and had the drive and mentality to get there against the odds.... This kind of argument is just a cop out for people who arent able to process a football team losing and trying to tie it up into a neat little bow that already fits their world view.

Can’t wait for this bumbling fool to go now. If we unfortunately go out Thursday he has to be sacked that night. Won’t be obviously, well fuck about a bit but surely, surely he’ll have to depart after destroying the season for us.

Terrible decisions to start the still-injured Kane over Moura, and terrible decision generally to have or play Sissoko. It was a miracle we were able to get to that game at all. Sissoko you can actually blame quite a bit on Levy and the board. Poch of course accepted his purchase, but still, may as well just call it what it was- an extremely middling purchase that felt more like a predatory shakedown of then-poor Newcastle more than anything else.

Are you honestly suggesting they gave everything in the City and Ajax games to get to the final, only to just shrug after getting a watch?

Like i said, this isn't a real argument - it is a projection because you don't know how to process what happened and it is easier to cuddle into your anti-enic everything is Levy's fault blanket.

Do you think it’s going well ? Do you think it’s been going well for the past 5 years ?

Of course it's not going well right now - but i just don't buy these cute little bows people are trying to wrap around it because looking deeper into why it might be happening is not as easy as just focusing everything in one direction.

Shocking that a club, any club, would go through a spell of unrest and transition after a pretty decent spell of consistency where we had numerous opportunities to win trophies but were let done by players and coaches.

Do you think it has been going well for the 8-10 years prior?

I’d say it was better and looked to have a direction then we self sabotaged ourselves by not backing a manager who appeared to know what he was doing which in turn led to him losing faith
