Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Just want 2 things to happen this season: 1. Winning EL
2. Ange being gone from Spurs no matters what

As long as both of them happens, i dont care about order in which they happen.

But look at the facts though. It was only chaotic once VDV went off? Part of that is having to bring on an 18 year player who isn't a CB and is our 6th choice. Prior to that, there was no chaos, we completely dominated them and controlled everything.
If you collapse because 1 player has to be subbed there is something wrong. We have spells where we just cough up chances in every game no matter who plays, it happened plenty of times end of last season and start of this with VDV. Its not down to 1 defender its down to lack of control, game management and teams just bypassing our midfield. It was also AZ Alkmaar.

Bingo. It is systemic. We are incredibly forward tilted and always looking to push forward. But this comes with the side effect that we lack a lot of structure and control in general. On some level Micky is key to the system because his speed is meant to shore up the defense if we lose the ball further up the field.

But building a system around having a CB that can clock ridiculous top speeds and risking his already iffy hamstrings is incredibly risky.

Looks like we are stuck with him for another month at least.

Delighted to go through but still think it'll be all for nothing. We will get battered by the first decent side we face, although lucky for us and Ange, there aren't many left in the competition.

Last night was just chaotic football. There is absolutely no tactics, plan or control, as there hasn't been since Ange arrived. It is you have a go we have a go. It's basically a really shite version of Bielsa's football.

We won because we have a better team than AZ, by a huge margin. Yet we still scraped through 3-2. The chances we cough up every single game are just criminal.

We are honestly the worst managed / coached Spurs side I have seen in 40 years.

The way we play I just can't see us winning this trophy. But in football anything can happen. If we do it will be pure luck.

Just want him gone honestly, just so sick of him.

losing to fulham and chelsea 'should' do it, that sees us sink even further. we are a few bad results away from being 16th!!!

Iraola has done fantastic with the Cherries, but no guarantee he'd be a hit here. Seems to be a real structure & strategy in place at Bournemouth, directors working hand in hand to begin with...and a real togetherness between the players, who don't look like selfish, egotistic cry babies who shit the bed when the going gets tough. Now at Spurs on the other hand...
Yep. Spot on especially as there's now a fraction inside the club and outside ( I think that's Paratici but can't prove it) who are very critical of Lange and think he needs replacing. We are the opposite of structured.

He's here until the end of the season now. Europa quarters mid April so only 5 weeks and 6 games of the season left after that if we go out.

I guess he might go with a game left or something like that if we want to make an early move on Iraola if he looks like he might sign a new contract but suspect they'll do that behind the scenes. Just dont want this end of season review dragging on until June and us being left looking dithering and clueless again.

I've said it a zillion times, you could get Pep/Carlo/Cruyff/Sir Alex to manage us, we'd still do crap as long as the board stays and the players are lazy, overrated sissies. Iraola is a million times the manager Ange is, but he ain't a miracle worker.

People may think I'm crazy but if Ritchie can be fit for the last part of the season he can be a real darkhorse in this situation.

Top level sport is littered with examples of blokes with very real ability that just don't live up to it for one reason or another.

A small percentage of those are lucky enough to find themselves in a position to have one last crack. With expectations low, and only they with something to prove to themselves and others. The pressure of expectation long departed.

I can give a number of examples of people across sports in exactly this position, who subsequently put in a monster when it really counted most.

I think it's a real possibility and I hope Ritchie becomes another example. All to play for and nothing to lose.

Agree, I'll be honest. I am seriously concerned Ange will get next season.

Especially if we make the final, and he can point to it and say "progress mate", and Levy might fall for it.

If he gets next season regardless of winning thr trophy, I'll be sick with anger and disgust.

I cannot go through another season, another wasted year with this cunt in charge.

But, I have to be honest, I would take winning the trophy and him being given next season, because I know he'll be sacked by October anyway once we start the season with constant defeats and Levy realises we have 2 points from 8 games and are heading for relegation.

Winning the Europa will be this clubs biggest achievement in decades. So Ange being given a couple of months next season is worth the sacrifice. But that is worst case scenario.

If we do somehow win the cup, the club should still without a single doubt sack him and say thanks for the cup Ange, but you're finished here. Anything less than that, and we are run by absolute clowns.

There are no circumstances at this point, where Ange should be here next season. It's staggering he is still here to be honest.

This squad can go places, but they need a competent manager in charge, not this clown.

Groan.

A quick question to all you Australians and Kiwis, THOTS, cucks, pickpockets, Nigerian internet love scammers, Shaydan, those who are balding but use Regaine, Asian tourists. .. and all those on these pages who have started repeating, ad nauseam, that Spurs can win this easily as the teams left are "weaker than us".

Right.

Atheltic Bilbao
Lazio
Lyon
Rangers
Eintracht Frankfurt
Man United.

How on earth do you look at how Ange has us playing against genuinely shitty teams... look at the above teams... and come to the conclusion that somehow ANGE and his bizarre brand of non football is favourite to win the whole thing??

You people are spitting on the men, women and children who travel to away games here and in Europe, the perpetual cancelled flights and train delays, the Levy tax scam against club members and all that shit that goes with being a 'go-to-the-actua-game' fan of this great club.

Civil war is coming when we get knocked out and it's going to be peak blud....

No need for the cunt. Its been thrown about here a lot and i dont think its needed no matter what your feelings are towards him

One goal lead on aggregate, 80 minutes in to the game and we still concede a 3 on 2 attack (or something like that) because our full backs are stupidly high up the pitch once again. We get away with it today because the opposition probably isn't Premier League standard but as soon as we're playing someone decent, as we will in the next round, we certainly won't get away with it. It's baffling how this is still happening.
Ange hasn't got a clue about game management. This will continue to happen because he doesn't learn, he's also an arrogant prick.
