Now be careful lads. I was told this and told you we have been speaking to him months ago . In fact you can go back a check. BUT we DID want Slot and we wouldn't pay the money Feynoord wanted Slot definitivly wanted the job. That said you can also quote the post where I said watch out if Bournemouth form starts to dip and stutter( think Harry Redknapp) which might indicate he is leaving and the players know. I'm pretty sure we already have an agreement.
We will break him like a twig and cast him into the abyss of failure . That is not ITK it’s history

So we are excusing Bournemouth going tits up because Iraola is coming to Spurs and his players already know 🤣🤣🤣

If this is the level of galaxy brain excuse before he gets here, imagine the beauties we will get when he is.

Fully expecting “the dog ate his scouting report”.

Watch Spurs do what in the Champions League... watch them scrape a couple of wins and a few draws and go out in the extra play off game. Not for me but hey, each to their own.

I'd rather watch us play Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern Munich etc than Quarabag.
I also find Wednesday night a much easier fixture to actually go to as well.
The latter part of that us selfish on my part, but the former is big. Selling 63k class A tickets for the CL games is a bigger deal than selling 50-55k £30 tickets for Quarabag.

People say we don't spend when we qualify.

09/10, first full season under Redknapp, we had a negative net spend of over £3m
10/11, our first season in the CL - we had a net spend of aprox £17.5m and that went on Van Der Vaart, Sandro and Gallas.
11/12 - no CL football - negative net spend again.
Fast forward to 14/15, Poch's first season, no CL football. Net spend negative £10m
15/16 - no CL football - Negative spend again!
16/17 - back in the CL - Well over £20m net spend
17/18 - CL again - well over £50m net spend
18/19 - CL again - that season we fucked up. Still think Poch was as much of the problem as Levy "hard to upgrade this 11"
19/20 - CL again - Some say we didn't back Poch, but TND, Sess, Clarke, GLC and Bergwjin were well over £100m net spend.
20/21 - No CL - About £50m net, down on prior season with CL.
21/22 - No CL - similar spend to prior season
22/23 - CL football again - about £140m net
23/24 - no CL football - get's very tricky here as most fees in and out are "undisclosed"

The point is, all evidence bar 18/19 points to more expenditure on fees post CL qualification than without it.
There's nothing to suggest we don't spend more money when we're in the premier European competition.

If memory serves correctly, I feel like the early names Matt Law has put out for the last few managerial searches have been way off the mark.. Any names being put out now, before we even have a vacancy is a rumour to be dismissed for the moment I think.

You never know, it could be Iraola/Silva’s agent putting our name out there to attract other clubs to act on getting them

maybe results on the pitch and the odd trophy a bit more important than what the manager says with a mike in front of him

I know, a bit left field but still
I'm so fucking sick of Jordan being Levy's fucking mouthpeice.

It's SO obvious he's spouting shit that he's been told to spout.
Because be honest, if he's not, and he comes out with this shit every day of his own accord, Levy should get a restraining order on him. Got stalker levels of creep to it.

I just don't see how we suddenly switch from playing like shite in the league to playing like world beaters in Europa, you'd have to sustain some from in the league and show some good performances to carry that on in the EL, you can't just go from cold to hot every match based on the competition you're playing in, it doesn't work like that.

I don't know if he's told the players it's Europa or bust but his attitude to yesterday's match and his team selection certainly suggested it and it looks to me like it's rubbed off onto the players, they're were doing some really dumb shit out there constantly as well, no remonstrating from Ange - just duly accepting the shit he's watching that he's caused with his poor tactical setup which has killed the confidence of our players.

Mind you we weren't much better against AZ - The only way we're gonna win that competition it seems is that we have some mental luck on the day because we may be the strongest team on paper but we're playing like one of the worst teams in the competition.

He's keeping Pochettino seat warm it's utterly inevitable there's one man on planet earth can do this job and it's Pochettino!!!

That said I've had this weird gut feeling preminition vibe it would be Iraola once I learned he was a childhood freind of Arteta. I've just had the image of them leading opposite sides in a NLD at the top of the table.

Could well be true then. If he picks his clubs with as little care as he picks his friends we have a chance .

AZ are fucking shite, that's why.

Which Premier League side would Troy Parrott be scoring regularly for?

Fucking none of them.

Nah - we're MASSIVE. All coaches want to come to us in their prime.
Mourinho
Conte
Slott

Probably a dozen others that have been at Chelsea/United/City/Liverpool over the last 2 decades that would walk straight past us to get to them until they're washed up.

Your argument is weak at best and I will tell you why.
1. This season, with Europa League football what so ever, we have 91m negative net spend - explain that?
2. Let me tell you our net spend for 23/24 was negative 125.5m with no European football what so ever but because it didn't fit your narrative you proclaimed it's tricky because fees are all "undisclosed" note: if you took out the sale of Kane this would be well over 200m
3. 21/22 No Champions League and you claim it was similar to 20/21 - well it was actually a negative next spend of 80.5m not similar to 50m right?
But most importantly, you make no allowance for the fact majority of transfer fees are staggered over multiple years and heavily dependent on certain criteria being met. This is where Spurs do well because we win fuck all and don't have to pay those milestones. Take Solanke... you hear the quote of 65m because that is what Spurs want you to hear because it makes them look like big spenders. But if you look at the actual deal it is 55m with 30m upfront, 25m in future years and 10m if certain criteria are met. I doubt very much that criteria will ever be met i.e. 20+ goals, winning league, winning cups etc.
My advice, if you are going to point to facts to strengthen your argument, get those facts right and don't point to facts that weaken it.

Would you like the most decorated and successful manager of all time or a journeyman dosser?

Simon Jordan - ‘I’ll take the dosser please’.

Because I’m a commercial monster.

:myword:

There are very few people in the world I’d like to see cursed with eternal daily stepping on plug sockets, but that absolute thundercunt Simon Jordan is one of them.

There isn’t a more punchable face in media.
