Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He was.

I read his response to the journalist’s question on Poch and seeing it in writing it looked like a perfectly adequate response. However, when I actually watched the presser it was clear the question irked him and it was noticeable how he was irritated. The next few questions from the floor were all met with five or six word answers from Ange, clearly as he had the hump, was pissed off and wanted to move on.

Appreciate some of these journos would get on anyone’s tits at times, but for someone who would have us believe he is this older wiser figure that’s been round the block a few times and not much phases him — he really can act like a spoilt brat kid.
The answer before that was just as bad as well, the reporter asked about his recent interview and asked if he could elaborate on him saying he should have taken a different approach at the start of the season and Ange just said 'I thought it was pretty clear mate, just listen to the interview again'. Can't help himself

Let's be honest first 10 games under ange it was like a liberation from the dinosaurs of conte and Mourinho. But since chelsea home 2023 it's been a fucking chaotic disaster.
Yes. Those initial games earned him so much goodwill, didn't they?
Unfortunately, from Chelsea onwards he showed himself to be way too inflexible and quickly became a one trick pony. Opposition managers sussed him out. Injuries took their toll. He shouted at the fans (bad move). Rumours circulated that all was not well at Hotspur Way and, we tumbled, down, down and down the league. It was inevitable that he got the sack - he just wasn't good enough to take us to the level we need to be at.

There - Got the old obituary done in good time.

His reaction to the City game was a red alert. He didn't have to comment but he did, questioning the fans which, to me, showed he "doesn't get" us. He should gave kept quiet.
Then he gas a pop a fans, Bournemouth and the home game and again at Fulham. Show me another "elite" manager who does this.
Then Brighton away. 2.0 up at half time and bossing it. The world and his wife were screaming, sit back, play it tight etc. Oh no, let's go gung ho again and kerbong it's 3.2.
Then, Ipswich and Leicester at home with a decent team. Totally unacceptable.
The inability to change, adapt, I could go on.
Sorry mate but you should be on the next Quantas out of Heathrow. In the back.

Injuries arent a coincidence as well. Had same problems at celtic. Just runs them to death. Interesting to hear what club say about medical department investigation. That's gone quiet.

Cry me a river.
Look at his crying to the Guardian this afternoon :

“I know what my responsibilities are and I am sure if the club decide to go in a different direction there are some outstanding candidates for it,” he said. “And you know what, maybe someone will think: ‘Ange Postecoglou is not a bad coach, maybe we’ll take a punt on him.’

“It doesn’t rock my world. It doesn’t consume me. I am here, I am passionate about what we’re doing. I was brought in to change the way the club plays, rejuvenate the squad and bring success. I am focused on that.”

Yeah right, whatever pussyhole...

He should of said, "I was brought in to change the club, from playing in the top six to the bottom six"

I still can't get over him subbing off Bentancur with 25 mins to go away at Rangers when he was suspended for all the domestic games. This was during the height of our injury crisis when we'd Forster in goal and Werner starting every game! Bentancur couldn't play again until after Christmas as that was our last EL game during his ban. Was madness. It was like he forgot he couldn't play at the weekend and left on players who were fatigued playing 90 mins every 3 days

I’d forgotten that one

Total wanker!

Tbh that Bournemouth away game last 20 we just completely lost the plot tactically. Add insult to injury Ange takes on the fans. Not been a happy ship since poch left. Remember dier storming into stands under Mourinho. End 2019 season it's been farcical.

He's trying to pull a Ten Hag. United failed to call the latter's bluff, fell victim to fear of missing out, and suffered mightily last summer in the form of wasted dozens of millions of pounds to his crap signings .

Except Ange hasn't even won any trophies a la Ten Hag, so he has absolutely no ground to stand on. Decent effort though.

This is just bizzare. Touting for a new job already.

Arbroath might take him and he’d love the ‘Smokies’!

Yeah Ange, but not changing for the worse, decimate the squad with hamstrings injuries and got us down to 14th, on route to one of the worse placing we ever had.

For fuck sake.

The word seems pretty fucking unanimous that Postecoglou is done press saying not even winning the Europa a guarantee. I also heard an intresting bit of speculation from within the club that some board members think we are specifically this poor and getting worse not because injuries but because the incoherent team management and coaching was being mitigated by CHRIS DAVIS.....that he is mostly responsible for the limited early success. 😆 🤣 😂 😆
I really don't get Ange's role.

So he's supposed to be a motivator (I remember the likes of Madders talking glowingly about his team talks in the early days) but by the same token apparently has no close relationships with the players.

He delegates training to his coaches and he stands in silence on the sideline for 90 mins and then fights a fan.

For a few mil a year I'm sure I could come up with some inspiring pre-match chats about how much my da liked football.

It's a complete joke.

I just look at the league table right now and shake my head, I dont think any club has a god-given right to success but this squad - even with injury problems - should not be where they are

I can't understand the people still think he's some top bloke 😕 what are they seeing. This from the Bluesky cult.

Please pass this to Ange.

I appreciate your continued professionalism in the face of the ridiculously uncontextualized & dumb media coverage by “experts”, clown car call in shows & fans pods.
You are a proven winner, do the work.
Solidarity brother… f**k the haters! #coys
Only freaks like the Extra Inch lot are on Bluesky

"I am here, I am passionate about what we’re doing.", he says straight after he basically asked to get sacked.

Mark my words when hes sacked he will write a book slamming us, mentality, city home game, injuries, medical staff, press. Blaming everyone but himself.
no doubt. he loves to act like he's 'in the club' like he's already achieved shit at the highest levels. if he gets on tv he'll tut tut about how we aren't a serious club and we're not which is why we hired this backwoods hick. don't know how anyone still thinks he's a 'decent bloke'. he's an arrogant deluded prick

His press conference today was, at times, a hard watch. He was rude, somewhat arrogant and possibly delusional.

I’d love him to win tomorrow, turn it all around and get the Europa league. But I would almost certainly now be also thinking. Nah “mate” you are not right here at all. Bye. 👋
