There's a whole lot of things I don't understand about the whole episode of this season. I don't know, maybe some kind of story will come out about it one.
I don't hate Ange. I don't know the guy. He exhibits traits that make me not want to have beer with him.
In my life I've come across people, sometimes wrongly in my opinion, that have knocked back postions believing they were not up to the task, and that may adversely affect others. That's empathy and thought for others, and not just thinking of ones self.
I've also come across those that would have no problem being the General in the next war. Making massive troop movements and sending hundreds of thousands into death zones without flinching.
All based on the reasoning they once read half of War and Peace.
People can over or under estimate their ability. It's ultimately up to someone(s), somewhere, to make a decision about, and an assessment of that ability.
