I’ve been wondering this. Has the level of finishing and attacking play for worse at the top level nowadays?
Time and again we give teams these opportunities and they don’t score. We could probably have conceded another 30 plus goals this season from similar situations.
We played OK whilst having two absolute passengers on the wings, that was Ange's decision and he stuck to it until the closing moments.
If we played OK and should have won carrying that handicap, imagine what could've been had we not started with them, or at the very least changed it earlier when the blatantly obvious was there for all to see.
They should be pissed when they get subbed and we haven't won. I want every single one of our players who gets subbed in that situation to be pissed.

And tbh they were the right subs. Maddison was fading and making less impact than Bergvall or Bentancur. Son had one shot all game and didn't beat his man or play a dangerous pass once all game.
