Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Look Burnley, they have kept loads of clean sheets and could still win their league.
Ange just won't tighten up at the back, far too easy to get through us.
I would rather grind out results and be successful in any league, than be Mr entertaining getting beat almost weekly.

To a much better side, which we'd taken a 1-0 lead to in the first leg.

I can understand people wanting Ange out, but to say you'd rather have gone out the cup so he went I can't. There will be fans that want us to lose to Bodo/Glimt for the same reason.

I'm no Ange lover, but I've seen many posts of people saying they'd take finishing bottom half if it meant winning a cup, but when push comes to shove they can't handle it. I've seen fans in a supporters group I'm in say they'd rather finish 6th than win the Europa, it blows my mind (I'm not saying you have this mindset btw) - I just think so many fans change their mind every season on what they actually want from Tottenham. One year it'd be a serial winner, then when that goes wrong they want a project manager to rebuild the team, then when that takes time they don't have the patience and dote over the previous manager we let go. It's groundhog day.

God help the next manager, because they'll be fighting a losing battle from day one.
Bar is set so low because of this Australian fraud, that by reaching Top8 in the league and improving our structure in first season new manager will be considered as good appointment.

Can't think about better moment in the last 20 years for coming here as a new manager. You just do an average job and supporters will be quite happy for some time. Because they will have fresh memories of this Angemess.

Probably got 10 candidates that Levy wants in for a boot licking test.

We'll have no idea who we want in our scattergun approach and will chuck the net far and wide. Some will turn us down, some Levy wont want to pay their modest release clauses for and so then we will be left with those that agents push our way like with Ange. We'll then end up with one off this list. Can see it coming a mile off.

Ange Postecoglou is heading towards the Tottenham Hotspur exit whether his team win the Europa League or not.

Tottenham suffered their 18th Premier League defeat of the season against Nottingham Forest on Monday night to leave the club 16th in the table.

Postecoglou’s team are on course to surpass their club record of 19 defeats in a Premier League campaign, but can still save their season by winning the Europa League and qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

That may yet save him from the sack, but there is a growing sense that Postecoglou is likely to leave Tottenham at the end of the season, regardless of the outcome of the Europa League campaign, either through being dismissed or a mutual parting.

Tottenham face Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt in the semi-finals of the Europa League and the Australian could be sacked if his side fail to progress or lose in the final against either Athletic Bilbao or Manchester United.

Lifting the trophy and maintaining his record of winning silverware in his second season at clubs would give Postecoglou the opportunity to leave – possibly mutually – with his head held high and having delivered on his promises of changing the playing style and achieving success.

Postecoglou would become Tottenham’s first trophy-winning manager since Juande Ramos in 2008, but even if he falls short in the Europa League he will be aware that a number of highly rated coaches have succeeded before and after their time at Spurs.

There has been sympathy for the challenges Postecoglou has faced in terms of injuries this season, while the Australian revealed he had been investigating a suspected leak from within the club.

He has also had to manage the team against a backdrop of protests aimed at chairman Daniel Levy and owners ENIC, while there has been dismay at some of the decision making.

Postecoglou has insisted that he has “no idea” whether he will remain as head coach beyond the end of the season and told the media “you’re going to have to put up with me for a bit longer” following the Europa League quarter-final win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

It remains to be seen whether the outlook around Postecoglou’s future could change if Tottenham can finish the season well and win the Europa League to prompt greater optimism about their potential prospects under him.

Tottenham will be wary of finding themselves in a similar situation to Manchester United, who had been set to sack Erik ten Hag until he won last season’s FA Cup. Instead, United reacted to the 2-1 win over Manchester City by triggering a one-year extension in Ten Hag’s contract but then sacked him less than four months later following a poor start to the season.

Tottenham sacked Ramos eight months after the Spaniard had guided them to League Cup success.

Some sources claim that one of Postecoglou’s key allies and biggest supporters, chief football officer Scott Munn, will leave Tottenham this summer and the club have already confirmed the appointment of former Woolwich chief executive Vinai Venkatesham.

Telegraph Sport revealed that Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola and Fulham’s Marco Silva will be among the leading candidates to replace Postecoglou, although Bournemouth are fighting to keep Iraola and are optimistic of doing so.

Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear that he would like to return to Tottenham at some point, although the USA manager has next summer’s World Cup on the horizon, while technical director Johan Lange is a fan of Brentford’s Thomas Frank.
e after the [English] championship is over. The truth is, I haven’t spoken to my agent yet, but I’m open to anything. My goal is always to grow and go to new places to continue developing.”

Levy doesnt care about winning cups. He sacked Jose and Juande regardless. He sacked Poch months after a CL final.

You don’t need to be a journalist to predict what’s going to happen
Let me try...

There is a burgeoning swell of discontent that [insert obvious here]
Whispers on the terraces suggest [insert obvious here]
My many, many minions among the minging masses mayhap merrily misconstrued that [insert obvious here]
A data-lead team working within OpenAI have analysed the sentiments of 1 million tweets and [insert obvious here]
This morning's tea leaves practically shouted from my cup that [insert obvious here]

I couldn't bring myself to write 'obvious but non-committal'.

It's too easy. The hard part is having no shame.
